This is a great idea, actually.

To take it further, why not have stars who didn't make the All Star team show up in the seats in the crowd? Wouldn't have to sign them up or anything... they're already in the NBPA.

waste of money...id rather them spend it on more old school players...you know the ones that you actually control on the court and not some actor watching a game...

says who? where did you get your info where "huge amounts of money" would be required to put a celebrity in the game? Im not saying thats not the case but none of us know what it takes. And truthfully, some celebs might be happy to be in the game aka spike lee or something to that effect who knows? I know none of us here know.

I like this idea. Maybe even getting players' comments on playoff/Finals games, and their picks. Like last year, when they spoke with Dwight Howard on the Bos/LA matchup before the series started. Probably too involved for a video game, but it would be cool.

Celebrities can ask for anything they want for their likeness. And I think most of them would want a lot of money. Usually celebrities are in video games because it was in their movie contract. I can't imagine how much they would ask just to be in a video game. Especially "A list" like Jack...

If you put Jack in then you'd have to put in that goofy music producer guy who sits next to him wearing top hats, strange fitted suits, and tinted shades. The sad part is the only reason that guy is a "celeb" to me is because of the NBA!!!

Seriously, even fictional "celeb" creations might work. Or, we could create-a-celeb!!! Name, Profession, frequency of attendance! Can you imagine a cyber Skeet Ulrich at Nugget games? Ok, that part was over the top sarcasm. He would obviously be at Kings games.

It would be an waste of resources and money. 2k would have to reach out to Jack's representatives, negotiate a deal and pay him. Even if they only paid him 2K for his likeness (which is really unlikely) its a waste of 2 grand for something that doesnt add much to the game. Big waste of time.

Also, I wouldn't say it wouldn't add to the game now. I mean the thought of re-creating the Reggie Miller choking gesture to Spike Lee would or How about Scottie Pippen dunking on Ewing and then looking for Spike on the sidelines...lol You can't say tha wouldn't be cool as hell.

Or even worst re-create the Piston-Pacers brawl.....LMFAO just kidding...

Like Im not sure where most of the 2K guys are from...but have a cut scene of them sitting in the crowd. Add a personal touch to the game so we can see most of the people behind the scenes helping put this great game together...

as aholbert said its a waste of resource just to add eye candy...no value whatsoever...again it would make more sense to reach out to Charles Barkley to get him ingame!!

seeing the creators ingame would be a nice touch...it would be cool to see who we spot...like Mike Wang as the mop boy

I can see it now. Mike Wang on the court during a timeout with a t-shirt gun shooting them to the rafters. Rob Jones on Kiss Cam between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Lol
