Re: Am I right or wrong? Pretty much everyone here has made the switch to NBA 2k
I played live since 2000(Only ones I didn't play were live 01,08,09,10) Was thinking of getting Elite 11 but after hearing so much ppl talking bout 2k11 and how 2k10 got better reviews, I guess I'm switching too.Comment

I bought live every year since 05 until last year when I got both 2K10 and Live 10. This year I plan to only get 2K11.Phoenix Suns | Boston Celtics | Tennessee Titans | Boston Bruins | Chelsea FCComment

I play or either buy both games every year, whichever one if better imo I stick with. Most of the time it's NBA 2k. Each series has had some bad games imo, but 2k just has more good than bad.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: Am I right or wrong? Pretty much everyone here has made the switch to NBA 2k
Well when i had a dreamcast, nba 2k and 2k1 i played to death, but after that i havent really put alot of attention in basketball games(part of it because i had to ask my parents for games) and the other part was because i played all types of games when i was younger. In 2004, i had nba live, and man did i have a bunch of fun playing that game. I was a t-mac fan and for some reason i feel live 2004 was made for Mcgrady's style of play. But what really pulled me back into 2k was its college basketball games. I LOVED those college basketball games. Then i decided to buy NBA 2k10, and now i am back on the bandwagon.Comment

I've played Live since 2002, but this year will be my first 2K game. I borrowed 2K10 from a friend and loved it. After playing 2K10, I had to get CH 2K8 for my college basketball. It's all 2K for my basketball now.Comment

There are still some people dedicated to Live though and others play both games which IMO is a little crazy but hey the best of both worlds I guess?Greatest Franchise Ever

I never was a NBA Live fan, I pretty much played every basketball game that came out in the 90's until NBA 2K arrived and it's all iv'e played since.Comment

I find it funny on how its like a war to be honest. I think its damn right ridiculous that you're buying a game even though it sucks to support than the other brand. Brand loyalty is a bitch.#dairyfreeComment

Re: Am I right or wrong? Pretty much everyone here has made the switch to NBA 2k
I guess the other game caught up on most today's 2K players when they were younger because it was the obvious choice back then, like candy to kids (that game being the "best", because it came from a larger company with a larger trajectory in sports games).Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

Re: Am I right or wrong? Pretty much everyone here has made the switch to NBA 2k
I buy BOTH games on release day and decide which one to keep after a couple of weeks of playing each game.
Last year I kept Live 10 and ditched 2K10.
Unless Elite 11 knocks my socks off, it looks like 2K11 is a keeper this year (based on the demo).
p.s. I don't play games strictly based on sim or realism (that's for nerds/geeks). I have to enjoy the game as well, even if it means it's a little "arcade-ish."Last edited by left4dead; 09-19-2010, 04:42 PM.Comment

I've been been a nerdy 2k player since its inception. Before that, I played EA basketball games like a geek.Originally posted by My Wife"The Celtics only won because they have a magical elf playing for their team...."Comment
