The move should be a standard long step layup for everyone else, and a step- around layup for those that do it. The problem I see with the move is that it makes it much easier to get into the lane, because the animation fires consistently anywhere within 15 feet of the basket if you have space. The other layup/dunk animations aren't as consistent.

Have you already pump faked? If you pump fake right then try to shoot left, it won't allow you because you've used your pivot foot already. You have to shoot right or straight (the "under" part)Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
Ok let me explain....
Double shimmy
double shimmy left - flick shotstick to the left twice.
double shimmy right - flick shotstick to the right twice.
I like to call them one side shimmy or one side fakes.
REMEMBER....DO NOT PRESS L2
fake left to shot over right shoulder - flick left then Hold to the right
fake right to shot over left shoulder -flick right then Hold to the left
Its pretty easy once you get the hang out it.Thanks

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
Complete NBA 2k newb here with some pretty basic questions...
1. Does everyone use icon passing pretty much exclusively? I'm getting better at it, but it's taking me a while to get use to. The right-stick passing seems pretty sweet except when I accidentally throw up a crap shot by accident.
2. Does everyone call a play every time you head down the floor (with the exception of fast breaks of coarse)? I tend to try and execute plays each time, but don't know if I should throw in a little freestylin' now and then.
2. Depends, mostly in transition of a good defensive stop, you'll have mix-matches that you can exploit, so then you would call a play for the player who has the mix-match. Sometimes, if your PG has a pretty slow defender on him in transition, then you can call your iso plays and go to work.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
I don't think you manually move the inbounder. The inbounder moves automically if the ball isn't passed in the first 2 seconds before a 5 seconds is called. But the rule is, the inbounder can only move off possession switches; for example, the opposing team scores, your inbounds man gets the ball and attempts to pass it in. In that situation, you can move, but you can't move off a dead ball, which basically is whenever the ref hands you the ball.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
best way to learn, in practice mode, whatever ball the hand is in, do the motion for the cross, when the ball hits the floor flick it back.
for the in and out, do the whole ( <- -> ) motion before the ball leaves the ball hand.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
Okay guys I'm new to 2K, and having some beginner troubles:
1) I can seem to dunk the basketball, I got an open lane and the player always lays the ball up. Is there a seperate button for dunks.
2) Any tips on quick crossovers and dribbles?
Thanks for answering the noob questionComment
