This has been a bit of a sore spot with me as well. I hope this isn't a problem in the retail version. Players like D-Wade use the quick spin off the dribble to create space quite a bit

However, once you get the full game, much of other moves will open up for you, since you can change the RS to be absolute instead of relative, how it is now in the demo.

Should make a huge difference for you.
I made the switch last year and now I can play on any camera. Before I had to play on 2k.

all real 2k players play on the 2k cam...

its really only bcuz the camera is directly absolute and u can tell

which makes it easier to tell if ur actually goin left right up and down due 2 the absolute controller setting...

its hard makin sure im doing wht i want to b doin on any angle thts not straight up and down like the 2k cam but ima 2k player so im raw on any camera angle...lol

I know it's simply a preference thing, but I honestly don't understand why an angle is so difficult to play on. You're moving the stick in the direction you want you player to go in. That's it.

Yes, the directions change but if you're watching the screen I don't see the problem.

How to perform jab step to the right and drive on left for a right handed player, and for the left handed player, jab step to the left and drive on right? Help please because everytime I used a right handed player to jab step on right side I can't pull it back on the left side and he will automatically go on the right side after that right jab step, help~

                    1. Blow-by contact - It might feel at first as if the defender's riding your hip and will stop you, but just keep the stick in the direction you pushed it, or towards the hoop, and you can get by him pretty easily.

                    2. "Hip-ride" contact- They won't stop you completely unless you let go of the stick, but you have a limited amount of time to spin out of it towards the rim. With a better defender like Rondo, he can stay in front of you much better even after the spin, though. I also haven't tested if you can use another move such as the behind the back dribble, but the spin 100% works so far.
                    3. "Brick wall" contact - This is when you're stopped completely and your forward momentum is halted.

You can either try it yourself with Kobe or Fisher, by you're more likely to blow by Ray Allen than Rondo, so Kobe's the best to practice with.
Man, preciate the look. Ive been working on this myself. i still can pull it off with regularity. but it's all good.

Some of you have probably discovered this, but to those who haven't:

When you're driving across the lane (with the basket to your left or right) there are inside shot versions of the momentum shots:

RSTICK opposite momentum - Spin Layup (Rondo, Drajic type of shots)
RSTICK away from the basket - Fade Layup
RSTICK towards the basket - Inside/Dummy Hand shot
RSTICK towards momentum - Running Hook

I was just skimming through the past Sticks insight and didn't notice this mentioned, so here ya go

                        ^^ Good looking out.

It's really astounding how many different type of shot animations there are in this game.

These are the only types of moves I haven't pulled off yet despite trying quite a bit.

When I do as told I don't pull off any of the moves, I just do a leaner/fadeaway in the same direction my momentum was carrying me. I feel like I've tried everything including keeping the LS pushed in a direction as well as neutral and still no dice.

I'm taking 'across the lane' literally, sideline-to-sideline when trying this, straight up east-to-west. Should I be going at more of a diagonal angle towards the hoop? Like starting at left elbow and finishing on the right block?

I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like he means traveling perpendicular to the baseline.

I'm gonna check this out when i get home.

What i'm having a hard time with is the post moves.

Any Control info on how to do post moves? Right now i really suck.

The angle window is pretty wide, as long as your general movement is going 'across' the basket, you should be good. Keep your LSTICK pressed towards your momentum when you push the RSTICK for the shot.

Not sure about the distance cutoff for Inside/Outside momentum shots of the top of my head... somewhere around 12 feet from the basket I think.
