Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Twice I've been drafted to the Blazers. In my first season with my main player we beat the Heat in game six of the Nba Finals. I am now in my second season with him playing with the Bulls.
My first season was a fairy tale. The blazers were on a long losing streak and there was no hope in the media and league-wide that we would make the playoffs. Somehow we overcame every possible obstacle and were planted in the sixth seed.
The first season, from a coaching perspective, was very poor. The coach, Nate McMillian, never called a single defensive play outside of man-2-man. In my second season with the Bulls it is much different.
I earned some accolades with my main player, the most honorable being Rookie of the Year and NBA Finals MVP. It was a fun season. I left the team because our chemistry was crushed (on paper). I took over the starting SG position and Brandon Roy was deomted to SF.
A key trade involved Nene in exchange for Camby. Nene bolstered the offensive load for Alridge downlow and still offered a defensive presence - probably more than Camby since he has treamendous size. The Blazers play with heart. It was a fiery trial. My heart is still there.
I played my first season on Pro but I am now looking for something more challenging. All-Star default I see too many rediculous shots made. All-Star sim is nice too but I find there are far far far fewer 100+ point games which happen at least sometimes and sometimes even consecutively. I am on the verge of using Hall-Of-Fame Sim if need be. I love playing with intelligent players and on Pro the CPU players are just so darn unintelligent. Not enough movement on Pro.
I am happy with the play call maps. In my first season with my secondary player I am seeing coach McMillian make a multitude of plays on the fly - defense and offense. It's also been nice to see a trade made in the first 15 games without my request, however; the trade has come at the expense of team chemistry. We gained Corey Magette and Earl Boykins in exchange for Joel Pryzbilla and some anonymous player. The locomotion effect here: I am the starting SF and Magette is comepting with me for my starting role. Magette is also the league leader in FG%. Behind Magette is a legitimate rising star in Nicolas Batum and Batum's minutes are now hemorraged due to the arrival of Magette. Ruddy Fernandez is also frustrated due to his minutes sinkking since Magette's arrival.
I am now in the hot-seat feeling like I am about to be shipped somewhere, and not the Portland Trailblazers bench - nowhere remotely close to Portland Arena. The team is on a dry streak and have lost 3 in a row. I am 20 games in but we have played about 35 games already; I suffered a couple big injuries early.
My Player Mode is my favorite part of the game - it's the only part of the game that possibly makes it a keeper for me. I look forward to striking a balance in the game play performance for my player mode.Last edited by hanzsomehanz; 12-28-2010, 12:13 AM.how could I lose? im playing by my own rules..Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
dont take away points....you're cutting yourself short when you do that...it's like 75% skill point per buy back...Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
since it's still early in the game it wont really matter but later on when you achieve floor general status...you might lose your status as that if you trade to a different teamComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
you just have to work through it....eventually you'll do good enough to earn more minutes at PG and become a legitimate starter....i had derrick rose move over to SG for meComment
