Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

    streets:

-i lowered my stamina as well as both off. and def. awareness...it brought my rating down from 99 to 84 and my minutes down from 41 to 36....

i lost my star status on the icon below my feet(now a 3 point specialist)...and my picture isnt highlighted in the beginning of the game where it shows the starting lineup(joe johnson is the current guy highlighted)...only problem is im still a starter...

i think i may have to dock away points from other areas of my attributes so that my overall sinks below that of the current 6th man on my team(yi jianlian who is at 73)...maybe that will work

what is your current overall and the current overall of the starting SG and carmelo?
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
i will try and finish season 3 today...i dont play the playoffs with the exception of the finals because i dont need the skill points and the stats dont account for anything(team records and nba records aside)...im only playing the finals in the event a simulation would negate my milestone for a 3rd championship

off-setting a long regular season of play time

well let's just say if i do decide to play the playoffs...i'll probably put my quarters to like 1 minute or 3 at the most lol

Wow! Good to know that you can lower your minutes via lowering your stamina. It's always nice to know I can go back. I don't have the exact answers to your questions. I just got back from playing ball at the gym (really hurt my leg/hip area falling too) and need to take a shower, but I'll look it up when I get out.

I know Melo is a 93, I'm a 76, and the rookie is rated lower than I am... maybe a 68? I am going to start collecting points and dump them into my awareness. Maybe if I am rated higher than Melo, we can both start. Or (hopefully) if they make him the 6th man, he won't complain. I have no desire to get 6th man of the year because I realized there is no milestone for it for small forwards. Is there one for PGs? As for you, I'd keep lowering stamina. I think that is more key to starting than anything else, but let me know either way what seems to work. Also, the starting 2 only plays like 3 mpg.

lol that's the thing...the lowest my stamina can go down to is 70(which im at)...and i dropped my awareness all the way down as well(now 25 off, 30 def)...it only docked away 5 total minutes of playing time while my overall is now at an 84...i've played 3 or 4 games now after the deduction and no more minutes are being taken away...

the only thing i can think of is if i bring my overall completely down below 70 as though i was an up and coming rookie again trying to develop my stats...maybe i can get to the bench and then become a 6th man

the 6th man isnt a milestone(i dont think any of them are besides the mvp...they might be trophies for your game but i dont think they're milestones you need to get)...just an accolades that i want on my player card...i have everything else BUT that as far as the end of the year awards are concerned

sorry to hear about the fall man...at least your reason is "better" than as to why my hips are sore...i just get sore from running during cardio workouts

Here's my whole depth chart. In parentheses are the overall ratings at normal mood next to that is the mood change for any superstars currently. Then of course their mpg. Anthony Morrow is injured. * = new rookie.

          SG: Rickey Farmer* (68, -1) - 4 mpg

            i dont know...are you listed as a SF/SG or a SF/PF?

if it's SF/PF, then sure i could see why derrick favors(even though his overall is just a slight higher than yours) gets the nod but if you're a SF/SG i just dont understand why you're not starting at SG or why Carmelo isnt...you two should be in the lineup at the same time filling both the SG and SF slot...

i mean i see players go down from their actual position all the time in my career...kobe is a PG and joe johnson was a PG before i joined the team...

i just never seen them do it(go down a spot) while i was on the same team as them...but i have seen a player go up one spot while i was on the same team...this was evident when derrick rose moved over to SG during my rookie year and i became the starter at PG

Just played my first game with the Thunder. Because I am a 6'6' PG, my height makes it easy to grab rebounds. In 17 minutes I scored 4 points, with 4 assists, and 5 rebounds. The press conference feature was good, but I still need to improve my scoring, passing, ball handling, speed, and defense. Also, does anyone know how to raise the shooting percentages. My team scored 58 with a 30 FG%

lol im just asking even though i have no clue where people with two specified positions are supposed to be playing at...

i just checked right now on the leaders board and derrick rose is simply a true PG...yet he shifted over...i wasnt even a star player yet

my rating might have been higher than brewer's(currently 75 in season 3) at the time(rose is obviously higher than brewer's) and i dont think the game intentionally wants to put you out of your original position so i guess they just moved rose over

both of our situation is similar in the sense that it's the SG spot that comes into question since it lacks a good player...but my dilemma was from the 1 and 2 spot since luol deng is a formidable SF...yours is a 2, 3 and 4 problem that is cluttered with talent(derrick favors is a formidable PF but his overall is like literally the same as yours and i dont think they'll bench him in favor of carmelo)

all in all...i am very curious as to how your situation will pan out lol

the main gripe with this mode sir...shooting percentages is spotty when it comes to teammates...you just have to rely less on jumpshooters...and more so on their ability to drive and finish close shots

you dont want to stack your PG position because that's the depth chart you're on...

in terms of players...i have no clue who you could ask for...most of my trades dont actually go through and if they do...i get players i didnt even ask for but maybe courtney lee or travis outlaw(back to portland)...you could even try getting george hill although he's undersized...he can play both the 1 and 2 spot...i dont know what you want to do with greg oden and whether or not he's starting over marcus camby...but i would ask to for another big man(oden has a low durability and camby is old)...i have robin lopez for my association
Yeah, I wish I could suggest the team give Rudy Fernandez more minutes. He's been way better than Wesley Matthews for me.

that's how i feel whenever i have the urge to start a new career with either the blazers or magic... i feel that rudy fernandez and j.j. redick can both be solid contributers but they lack the amount of playing time they deserve in the game...this also makes me anxious in suggesting trades because i have a strong feeling the cpu will trade both of them away...

i remember in 2k10 when redick got cut from the roster because he did bad in the summer circuit by the time the season started he wasnt even on my roster

If you do that, you should change your nickname to Miracle Man.
Just played my 2nd game vs. Pistons. 13 Points 7 Rebounds 9 Assists in 25 minutes. For some reason, my coach made me play while I was really tired instead of putting Eric Maynor. With 15 seconds left, I did a pick and roll with Nick Collison and instead of posting up and having a chance at scoring, he got trapped on the baseline with the ball and had to pass out to my backup. Still SMH

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

Hello, I've been reading this for a while but have only now bothered to register and actually contribute myself.

I'm a 6'8 SF on the Clippers, got drafted there #8 overall. Currently at a 57 OVR in January (missed quite a few games with injury, plus I'm not as good as many on here I suspect!). Dropped a career-high 48 on the Warriors (key game) not very long ago which was nice. My player is a lethal shooter, but ratings-wise he's pretty dire apart from that, although I generally pull down 10+ rebounds a night with ease.

Anyway, has anybody else found their front office make some TERRIBLE decisions? All was going fairly well in Clipperland, we were in the #7 spot in the west and playing winning ball. Then Baron Davis gets (who has actually been running the offense pretty well) gets traded away along with Ryan Gomes for Kirilenko. I understand it's for Kirilenko's huge expiring contract, but even so, with the other inspired move of sending Bledsoe to the D-League, we've got f**king WILLIE WARREN running the point, and AK taking a massive chunk of the minutes at SF, meaning I end up playing a lot of SG.

First game with Warren starting - he turns the ball over 8 times, we lose to the Timberwolves. Second game, he goes 2-12 from the field and continues to yak up appalling shots. Very annoying. Do you think the front office will come to their senses and recall Bledsoe?

Also, I seem to remember someone saying they'd been having trouble with their playbook vanishing. It happens to me too, but only when we go from playing home games to road ones and vice versa. So what I do is save when I get to the end of a homestand/roadtrip, quit back out to the dashboard, and then go back in. Problem sorted.

If you are still reading this, I congratulate you.

Still SMH
i can actually do it...if i bump my minutes up to 12 per quarter it would be less effort compared to 9 minutes...i could also bump up the difficulty to hall of fame and pull down lots of boards...around 20 rpg because my teammates dont crash the boards at this setting(well for my career anyway)

lol why would nick collison post up on a pick and roll? he should be laying that ball in or dunk it...i understand the trap but a post up from a pick and roll would just ruin the play itself

If you are still reading this, I congratulate you.
welcome...you should post more and keep this thread vibing

if it helps...i have chuck hayes on my team due to a poor front office...i lost legitimate tall players in zaza pachulia and marvin williams for this 6'6'' PF/C piece of garbage that passes out everytime i give him the ball down low...it's like he's afraid to take a shot because he knows he will get blocked/murdered out there....oh wait...that's right! he's 6'6'' playing the 4 and 5... SMH

ahhh i dont know what to tell you about the d-league situation...hopefully they call him back...maybe if your PG depth chart becomes plagued by injuries or it gets depleted from trades?

not sure what to tell you about that last problem
