oh yeah as though my operationsports' arena have enticing, alluring and sensitive details about me LOL
anyway back on point...i find myself to be more effective in grabbing steals when im playing at a fast pace...i've been trying to cut down on my turnovers so i have actually been setting up and running plays rather than turning the game into a track meet with fastbreaks...but yeah...the slow pace has made me struggle with making steals the last 20 games or so..Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Hello, I've been reading this for a while but have only now bothered to register and actually contribute myself.
I'm a 6'8 SF on the Clippers, got drafted there #8 overall. Currently at a 57 OVR in January (missed quite a few games with injury, plus I'm not as good as many on here I suspect!). Dropped a career-high 48 on the Warriors (key game) not very long ago which was nice. My player is a lethal shooter, but ratings-wise he's pretty dire apart from that, although I generally pull down 10+ rebounds a night with ease.
Anyway, has anybody else found their front office make some TERRIBLE decisions? All was going fairly well in Clipperland, we were in the #7 spot in the west and playing winning ball. Then Baron Davis gets (who has actually been running the offense pretty well) gets traded away along with Ryan Gomes for Kirilenko. I understand it's for Kirilenko's huge expiring contract, but even so, with the other inspired move of sending Bledsoe to the D-League, we've got f**king WILLIE WARREN running the point, and AK taking a massive chunk of the minutes at SF, meaning I end up playing a lot of SG.
First game with Warren starting - he turns the ball over 8 times, we lose to the Timberwolves. Second game, he goes 2-12 from the field and continues to yak up appalling shots. Very annoying. Do you think the front office will come to their senses and recall Bledsoe?
Also, I seem to remember someone saying they'd been having trouble with their playbook vanishing. It happens to me too, but only when we go from playing home games to road ones and vice versa. So what I do is save when I get to the end of a homestand/roadtrip, quit back out to the dashboard, and then go back in. Problem sorted.
If you are still reading this, I congratulate you.
My playbook doesn't disappear, it changes every once in awhile. So, what exactly is it that you do to prevent it? I rarely play games back to back. So I usually save after a game, exit and start again anyway, yet it still happens occasionally.
So in your case, lets say you have Home, Home, Home, Away, Away. You'd save after the third game, exit to the dashboard of XBox Live or PSN. Then fire the game up again?Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
[quote=-ENiGMA724-;2042063736]i can actually do it...if i bump my minutes up to 12 per quarter it would be less effort compared to 9 minutes...i could also bump up the difficulty to hall of fame and pull down lots of boards...around 20 rpg because my teammates dont crash the boards at this setting(well for my career anyway)
lol why would nick collison post up on a pick and roll? he should be laying that ball in or dunk it...i understand the trap but a post up from a pick and roll would just ruin the play itself
Nick Collison (being the fail he is) was too slow and was outran by Ben Wallace, so he had Wallace between him and the basket."My body could stand the crutches but my mind couldn't stand the sideline"- Michael JordanComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
in the beginning of my career we always had close games...but during those close games the coach would always bench me during the 4th quarter because i wasnt a starter...
since i became a starter...we usually blowout most of the opponents... sometimes i intentionally try to keep the game close by playing really slow and letting the opponent catch up...but i always end up still beating them down the stretch because they always send me to the line with the time winding down(inbound pass to my player because im the PG)Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I have to say being a 99 now, that the game is more fun when ur a 42. And more fun taking a bad team and making them elite then me joining the bulls and being 30-3 (all 3 losses where without me) and being unstoppable. Anyways, I am 1st in points, second in rebounds, 6th in assists, 1st in blocks, only reason I play now is to max out player and I mostly only play crew games (94th best crew)Comment

but yeah being a 99 rating is a bit too routine...my record in winning is just like yours and my teammates lose if im not starting...but next season i am actually going to downgrade all my stats and overall in the hopes of trying to become the 6th man
i've also signed with a different team after every off-season to try and keep things fresh but after this season...i might try and find a permanent team since the current nba roster is starting to diminish due to age progression and retirement
i would love to play my crew if my connection was more dependable for online play...comcast craps out on me all the time and have no clue whyLast edited by -ENiGMA724-; 01-24-2011, 09:24 PM.Comment
