    Quick question:

If I "sim to the end of the game" will I really lose all my skill points/accumulated stats/acheivements like it says??

Just from that current game. Everything you earned during that game before hitting "sim to the end" will be lost. Whatever stats your simulated player earns may or may not count towards milestones, though... that part is iffy.

It's the quickest (and only way) to simulate through a season, especially if you turn autosave off.

          1) Question for ENIGMA (my favourite poster on the forum!)

you say you play 8/9 min quarters and you average over 20/25 pts and ur team always seems to score over 100 points...HOW?? is ur team shooting over 50% fg or something?

when i play 9 mins my team only takes 60-70 shots and naturally only scores about 70 pts total!

2)also....is there anywhere that we can check all the key games for teams? im in NJ and i know that NY is a key game, but not sure theres many more! it would help so that i could SIM and just play key games

          3) you guys who play 8/9 min quarters, do you put the nba players on 12 min sim or do you match their mins to urs?

            1. most of my teammates score in the paint...so all the teammates that i've played with usually average around .500+ or so in FG%...usually a few of them lead the league in percentage...this last season josh smith and al horford led the league as the #1 and #2 spot...for the most part, if the team's shooting % takes a hit...it's usually because i shoot 3's and miss...i rarely let my guards and forwards shoot 3's UNLESS they are coming off a running animation(sometimes if they're open but only if i feel like letting them)...some reason i find most of their made shots on the run during fast breaks or screens

my primary offensive play come from pick and rolls(after calling a quick isolation play to free up the lanes)...this leads to freethrows as well(which stops the clock)...i just recently started using the hop spin iso gather....it gets my player into the paint with contact and i can easily get 14+ freethrows with just my player alone...i do get my shots blocked most of the time though...so fair warning now

i would love it if 2k11 was like 2k10 and teammates can actually make reliable and consistent jumpers but since they cant this year...im not going to punish myself by letting their jumpshot dictate whether i win or lose games....i just really miss 2k10 in that regard...it's such a nostalgic feeling to remember giving the ball to bargnani outside and having him score 21 ppgs from the perimeter even though he came off the bench as a 6th man(bogut was starting on my 2k10 MP Mode with the raptors)

fastbreaks are important(they cut down so much minute usage)...i get a lot of those from the turnovers i create by steals, the surprising blocks i sometime get(my teammates also play the passing lane and make more blocks than i do so it increases the number of fastbreaks) and even rebounds since i push the pace after i grab the board...

the season average for team scored points last season was around 101.5 points or something...to be honest...i dont know how it's even that high(lead the league in team points)

            i score around: 25-30 ppg
            al horford: ~16 ppg
            josh smith: ~16 ppg
            joe johnson: ~14 ppg
chase budinger: ~10 ppg(if even that)
            yi jianlian: ~15ppg
***not sure how much my other bench players score when they're on the court and im on the bench: crawford and co.

i mean, i dont check the stat sheet at the half to see how many more points each player needs to score to reach their current average...i just sort of go with the flow...most nights i do score below 100 points....but other nights i score 110+ points and that makes up the deficit from previous low scoring games(i consider 80 points low scoring i guess)

im not sure how many shots we actually take as a team but i'll check on that during my next 100 point outing as a team with the kings

            2. when i was starting my experimental(long since neglected) career with the blazers...i couldnt figure out the key games and rivalry games in my schedule either...with my actual in-use career...through the course of each season, i was more aware as to which games were and which games werent...even though i have switched to different teams after every season(thus far) it's always the same teams(heat, clippers, lakers, magic, bulls, celtics, dallas, phoenix, wizards and etc....)

just think of all the star players at your position and more than likely it's a key game...the only surprise i found was that chauncey billups made the clippers a key game...i know he's good but he wouldnt be on my narrow list of top tier PG's anymore

if you need help with the rivalry games and key games then you might want to ask streets since he plays with NJ...streets is coming off the bench though so his rivalry games are being taken away by carmelo...just remember...it's also position specific and streets run with a SF as his player

            3. i primarily play 9 minute/all-star/default...and i have the cpu simulation running at 12 minutes...that's why it was a bit discouraging for me to sit out with an injury since each game meant that dwight howard would grab 10+ more rebounds than i would...scoring, assists, steals are different...you could miss a few games and get the averages up in this area with ease...it's the rebounding that's "hard"(probably because i play out of position and im a shorter player)

              OH WOW...im a noob

i forgot to look at cap room and team chemistry of interested teams this off-season

i found out the kings had 5% team chemistry O_O

              grizzlies had 100%

i forgot to look at the cap room because i was slightly upset by the team chemistry of the kings

i still have the game save that i made after winning the championship(before the whitehouse screen)...so i could reexamine each team...but DAMN, noob move on my part...

also, if anyone wants to explain to me each defensive play and how they're supposed to be run...please do...i have no concept of defensive plays when it comes to sport...any sport...

How well do you have to play to make the all-star game in your first season? I mean, I thought I was doing pretty well but didn't get a sniff at a place.

                  thanks for your reply enigma!!

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR EVERYONE USING MYPLAYER MODE....

WHEN YOU SELL BACK SKILL POINTS, YOU DONT GET THE SAME YOU PAID FOR THEM!!!

                  i was

                  med 90
                  speed 90
                  shoot off drib 90
                  consis 75

i had a key game coming up so i decided (since i only had 3pt milestones left) to take all my SP off back to defaults and dump them into 3pt so i could get some in my key game.

                  guess what???

when i tried to put my stats back up, i cant even reach back to 90 speed alone!!!

the best i can get now is like

                  med 65
                  speed 77
                  shoot off drib 60
                  consistency 45

FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!! do not mess around with ur SP!!!!!!! im gonna have to restart myplayer 50 games into the season!!! i was almost 60 overall but now i can only reach 44 overall after i changed it

lurkio2...i wish i could tell you man...i led in both the mvp race and rookie of the year before the all-star break during my first season and i didnt get to play in either one of them

i dont remember if it was like this on 2k10...i think it's a new thing they did this year for 2k11...i could be wrong...my memory is spotty

but yeah...you NEVER want to sell back your attribute points unless you methodically do it with an ulterior motive such as selling back speed to get more skill points in value so you can use it elsewhere

if you are restarting(unfortunate) you could use that excel sheet on my blog to choose which player you want if you dont already have something in mind... http://www.operationsports.com/-ENiG...s-spreadsheet/

Unlucky man. I was able to make the rookie game this year, but only for my team to get blown out by about 30 points. Abit pointless really.

i made the sophomore game the next year lol

but really that's unimportant since you dont get any milestones or achievement

it's a bummer about the all-star thing though...you and i both have to play 6 seasons(an additional season) total to unlock the 5 nba championship and 5 time all-star selection milestones

if anyone made the all-star roster during their rookie year...let us know

also, how many injuries did you have?

                            well injuries aside i mean...

i dont really have a good memory when it comes to how they were playing back then but was steve nash always that flashy and proficient in passing when he played with dallas?

i know him and dirk were always talked about for their 3 point threat...i followed their playoffs series against the kings(not that well apparently )

On yeah he was the same old steve Nash. The pick and pop was deadly with him and dirk. Steve Nash is one of the best pick and roll/pop pgs i have seen play the game. He shot the ball a little more too in Dallas

okay good...glad both got MVP awards after the separation to show just how good each player are when they're off to fend for themselves...

is that rumor dead now? the one about the suns possibly trading away nash to give him a shot at a championship contending team?

it was speculated heavily for like a week on nba.com
