Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

OK while i`m new to NBA 2k and MY Player i`m pissed. I got drafted to the Pacers, requested trade to Spurs. All in all good deal. Played about 10-15 games with them. Now in like the last 4-5 games, one against Denver where we were losing by 40!!! And now against the WIZ at home losing by 30! I turned the damn game off. What gives? TP runs same play, Manu for contested 3 miss, TD lay up miss, throwing it up in the air as he falls to the ground. Wiz run down floor jack up 3 good. 1 on 4 jack up shot Spurs miss, Wiz make it.

I play on Pro as I am new, 12 min everything. If this continued to happen I will just stop the damn game when these games happen. Losing to the Wiz by 30 at home. Give me a break. When has that happened in the last 10 years for any team. At least make the game close. And that was only the third quarter!

I've seen that a few times, but usually it's not that bad. MYplayer is a frustrating mode. There's times when it's just so fun, but the dismal CPU play can make you want to just quit. That goes for both your team mates and the computer opponent. Don't expect any realisitc numbers. And yes your team mates will be idiots I think no matter what.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

So my team just lost it's 8th straight game. Blown out by the heat. My team mates can't hit the broad side of a barn. Team 3pt% is at a league low 29%. The funny thing is they're shooting better at default than at Sim.

I'm just hoping the off season will find we're able to get some better shooters and those numbers rise. It looks like it's going to be a tough road trying to win as a big man in Sac with a terrible team.

Right now I'm just chalking the poor numbers up to it being the Kings, but if we finally nab some decent shooters and the terrible numbers continue I just may move on to a different mode or game altogether.

For you Player Lock association guys do you guys see much variance in shooting % difference between the two modes? I may try that next. Frustrating as all heck right now. I don't mind all the losing really, don't get me wrong it sucks, but it's how we lose that grinds my gears.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

I am having a blast with My Player! I know the mode can drive you crazy with the way your teammates and opponents play, but overall I must say that it is addictive and it gets better and better the more you play it.

I started my career with the Portlant Trailblazers and after multilple trade request I was traded to the New York Knicks in exchange of Roger Mason Jr and man this organization is heading in the right direction. As of right now we are 8th in the East almost catching the Pacers and Hawks, so before the season is over we might end up as high as 6th in the East. The Garden is amazing to play in just playing for the Knicks period... it was well worth the wait.

Here is what our roster looks like as of today (trade deadline is 3 days away):

          Starting Lineup
          PG. Raymond Felton
          SG. Andre Williams (My Player)
          SF. Wilson Chandler
          PF. Amare Stoudemire
          C. Joel Przybilla

          Key Bench Players:
Kenyoon Dooling, Francisco Garcia, Danilo Galinari, D' Andre Jordan.

We're 5-1 since the I came over to the Knicks and looking to end the season strong. I am averaging 24.6 points, 9 rebounds and 7.6 assists with the Knicks so a major inprovement to my 14.8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists with Portlant. I am currently rated 60 overall with 81 mid range, 60 three point (trying to get to 75 or 80), 80 dunk, 85 vertical, 75 on ball defense.

I am trying my best to make My Player be as close to what Vince Carter used to be like in his prime. I'll keep you guys updated!

I started over, this time on PRO/Default and things were a lot better, both in terms of my shooting and my teammates' shooting. I think I'll stick here for a while, at least until I get drafted and play my way into the league and then I'll know if I need to change the settings or not.

What are the best dunk/layup packages?

what strengths and weaknesses are there in these packages?

also if you are a SF, can you cancel any play that the PG chooses with the LB button?

I like the Jordan dunk/layup package the best. It's Michael Jordan, nuff said.

What dunk rating do you need to get the Jordan dunk package?

I guess I did leave that part out, huh? I am playinig PG; that's the position I primarily played growing up. I've got it set to PG/All-Around, so I can do a little bit of everything.

I had 17 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds and 1 turnover in my first training camp game.

It's the same thing on the Jordan Challenge, too, at least on the default setting. There's not enough drama for my liking in those games, but they are still a blast to play.
