This has become one of my favorite sports games of all time. I am having a blast playing the My Player mode.

I created a SG and I was drafted in the first round to the Wizards with there 2nd pick (there first pick was Wall) I did well with them and we had a winning record but I thought I would try out the trade feature. Our record when I was traded was 17-10. I got traded to the Celtics! Its awesome running with great players now. I'm 40 games into the season and got my guy up to a 65 rating playing 8 minute qtrs. Wish I had more time to play I would have already been in my 2nd season by now.

So far I've won the weekly player award and I'm sure I will win the monthly award when Jan is over. I'm in 2nd on the MVP award right behind Kobe and I'm the #1 Rookie award. For some reason I'm not in the All-Star voting yet.

I love this game its alot of fun and always keeps me coming back. I just loving working up my player and the intense battles we have sometimes against good teams.

The other team will shoot at least 50% from the field on All Star default. Shooting percentages are low on simulation, especially 3 pointers. Which is the lesser of two evils?

Couple questions for you guys.

I am a SG starting for the Bulls. Im avg 30 pts, 8 boards, and 3 assists. I see how some of your players ae OVR in the 90's. How long does this take? Im 65 games in and my OVR is 55. Can you buy skill points somewhere? What are the best attributes to improve to make my OVR go up.

Also was wondering how many games you have to play to be considered in the MVP race, Rookie of the Year race, scoring title race? I have been hurt a couple of times and have chosen to sit out rather than play throught the injury.

Lastly, Is the game play better on all star than it is on pro. Havent tried to switch it up yet but palying offense gets pretty boring at times. All Rose does is sit up top and never shoots. Every play goes to Boozer and it seems like they run a total of 5 plays. I sit in the corner 75 percent of the time. And when I drive and kick the players satrt driblling instead of shooting and decide to shoot from the same spot 3 seconds later taking away assists.

Any help would be appreciated.

Locash I might be able to answer some of what your asking from what I have noticed while playing.

First the OVR rating thing. I'm a SG and I'm 40 games in and I'm a 65 OVR rating. I think it really has to do with what skills you put up. Your shooting, defense, IQ, and other stats. I've made my guy a pretty much all around player. I don't just focus on one skill set. I have most of my shooting stats up to 70 or 80 (close shot, mid range, long range, 3pt, shooting in traffic, shooting off dribble), I have my defense up to a decent point, and my court IQ is up pretty good. It really helps to get a A+ every game, I'm playing only 8 minute qtrs and getting an A+ and complete most of the challenges will give me around 1,500 skill points a game.

As for the MVP race and other awards, I'm playing 8 minute qtrs I'm 40 games into the season and I'm avg 21 points a game and 6 reb a game and I'm the league leader in points. I'm 2nd in the MVP race and 1st in Rookie race but I have yet to get into the All Star voting.

And last about how your team is running Offense playing with the Bulls. I had the same problem once I got traded to the Celtics. They were running less plays with me and Pierce would just ball hog and Rondo would mostly throw it down to KG in the post. What I did was get my team chimistry up and started runing plays more by myself just getting open and hitting the A button to call for pass and now they throw me the ball almost every time I'm open and they are running more plays with me after I put more of my stats up in the player skills menu. I think it has to do with that too.

Ok just signed up to this forum yesterday. I love they way you guys are together on this game. I'll post my thoughts about my player too, even though I just started a week ago lol. I got drafted in the 1st rd picked 27th to the Atlanta Hawks and I wanna leave them too. Jamal Crawford loves to shot as soon as he touches the ball.

Im 58 games into my season and my ovr is 73. locash to get you player rating up you have to add SP to you core skills and also your def and off awareness.

i was worried last season because i missed 9 games and i thought i wouldnt have the chance to grab the scoring and rebounding title but luckily i qualified by playing 73 games and also by sheer stat number that surpassed the minimum requirement

as for the award races...i think it's safe to say if you're not leading a particular race you'll more than likely probably wont win it....

Looks like I wont qualify. I missed 20 games before the all star weekend. I boosted durability to 90 after it.
I can still win ROY. I am in 1st place.

Looks like I wont be winning the MVP or probably ROY because the season is 67 games in and I have only played 42.

As far as the scoring title goes it looks like I need 1400 points to qualify and I should hit that in my next few games pending another injury. Im just a couple percentage points behind Durant.

This is the first 2k I've ever played and I've gotten pretty good (I've had it since the release date).

Hall of Fame is too unrealistic. Last game, both teams had +95 shot attempts (we lost, of course).

We(Nets) are stuggling at the wrong time. We are on a 4 game Lose Streak on a road trip. Only 11 games left. We are 9th in conference and 1 game back. We lost each game no more than 8pts. Devin Harris is playing injuried. Damien James just went on IR(not mad) and his backup is terrible, we are turning over the ball too much. We are on a tough strech. We face Rockets, Knicks(beat both), 6ers, Heat. We lost to Cleveland. Magic and Hawks did not allow me to get easy layups, Smith and Howard was block magnets. We desparately need a 3pt shooter. I hate that we traded for Boykins. He only gets 5 mins per game and comes in at clutch times.
I am finally boosting my Shooting. I have Med range at 68. I have to boost Free Throw. Since I cant shoot, I turnover the ball a lot and have a lot of wasted plays because teammates cant score. I am 2 games and 37 points away from 1000 career points. It might be a Key/Rivalry game against the Knicks. I might be able to get 25 career Triple Doubles before the end of the season.

just updating...playing with the Clippers is fun. I thought i'd be dishin most my assists to Blake but Kaman is definitely getting most my assists. I'm currently Mo Williams back up but i plan to change that soon. We are 4 and 2 beating teams like the trailblazers, spurs,nuggets (who were 5-0), and Thunder but gettin blown out by the warriors and losing to the mavericks by 3, at this rate we're gonna be a major threat in the west lol

ya if your having a good game, scoring or even have a highlight play(mostly dunks or fadeways as the clock runs out).
