Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

I'm about 15 or more games into my NBA career and I finally got the billboard. Came after a game where I had 29 pts, 4 rebs, and 4 assists. At the interviews I always did the arrogant response but this time I chose professional and the next thing I know Jordan gets me on a billboard.

I think my arrogant responses have really irked my teammates because almost all of them are -2 on their stats lol.

Only the shooting drill is cake for me. Everything else is bronze. Attack basket is so hard unless you have 99 speed and ball handle because they always steal it or kill your dribble.

For y'all having problems with bum teammates/no assists, your pass rating heavily affects this.

My PG has a 92 pass rating and I can usually get 10 assists a game on 12 minute quarters. Yes, they still take bad and unwarranted shots, but it does help their ability to score off a good pass.

This mode is awesome. Going into my 40th game, just edged the conference-leading Lakers out by two points, 92-90. 37 points (career high), 6 rebounds, and 12 assists. Dude is coming along nicely.

I'm curious, does anyone know if there is a way to predict what attributes you will get for getting gold in the drills? Also, is there a way to ensure you get a plus 2? Right now, it all seems random.

Basically, how the hell can I get back on D when Im moving like a snail? If I use turbo, then im just screwed due to fatigue. At least sub me out for more than 5 mins or dont put me back in at all.

In my last game, I reinjured my ankle and played 35 minutes in a blow out win. The rest of my team played around 25-28 minutes. Sub me out at the beginning of the 4th, not with 1 minute left in the game. Geez.
I got hurt yesterday playing against Dallas late in the 2nd qtr... I still played 32 minutes. I managed a decent game offensively but was killed on the defensive end in the 2nd half. Went from up 11 in the 2nd to losing by 12. I could of played through the sprained ankle w/ 4 day recovery... instead I just sat out an easy win against the Pacers w/ 2 day recovery. I didnt want to reinjure myself, plus it royally sucks trying to get back on D without getting tired fast.

Its funny how he limps when just jogging up court but runs like everything is fine when your using turbo.

I have a 6'4" PG and the only drills I've done so far (about 20 games into NBA) are shooting drills. I know for that one if you take nothing but mid-range shots you're probably gonna get +1 Medium Shot. Likewise, if you take mostly close shots (arguably the best way to get gold since it's very easy to rack up 50's over and over and "reloading" is very quick since the ball is never far away after your shot) you'll probably get +1 Close Shot. imo shooting is the best/most fun/easiest drill. my "high score" for it is around 2800 and that was with around 80ish midrange.

the only drill worth doing is the dribble course... after you learn how to do isomotion which doesnt take long at all for ANYONE who played 2k10, its a breeze... you do all four listed moves, its automatic gold regardless of the time left on the clock...

and as a bonus when you get ur speed where yu want it, you can deduct points from it and place them elsewhere then just do another dribble course and get the speed points back...

since speed is undoubtedly the most expensive attribute to increase (besides 3pointer i think, not sure) you get the most skill points back when you deduct from speed... it only makes sense...

The Challenge shot drill is pretty easy also.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

I just played my first summer league game with my PG. I had 45 points, 9 rebounds (3 offensive), and 6 assists. I got the boards because I was able to play off my guy a bit since he couldn't shoot. The points came because I got subbed in at SG for about half the game.

My guy is pretty terrible at everything, but my Shot off Dribble is a 77 (and I wear the +4 Shot off Dribble Jordans), Medium is an 80, and 3 is a 75. I can do a quick crossover and usually have more than enough space to drain a shot. My handle stinks though so I lose my dribble a lot.

I'm having fun with the mode, but it does take a long time to get good ratings. I am so sick of restarting the dribble course to get the speed boost - for some reason this game is determined to just give me +1 Ball Security every time.

I'd also add that the dribble course is VERY easy once you get isomotion down. you don't even need to use turbo if you are a guard.

I'm just about tired of playing with Grizzlies in mine. I am leading the team in scoring, FG%, FT% and numerous other categories, yet I am still spending the entire fourth quarter on the bench! We are 3-5, everytime I come in, I pull us back in the game, then I ride the bench the whole fourth and we lose!

Totally random as far as the attributes.

The only trend I saw with how to achieve a +2 was in the Dribble Course. Every time I finished the course with at least 25 seconds remaining I received a random +2 bonus. That's the only pattern I can find so far.

edit: For those asking about easy drills, if you are a guard or SF, this is by far the easiest drill to accomplish. Just get good with the isomotion moves and you can finish this with gold every time.

has anyone figured out hwo to check your popularity? the IGN review notes you can do this but I can't find it anywhere.

It seems stupid to show popularity, local support and team chemistry yet I can't find where the 1st two are listed.
