Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

I'm doing Sf with update rosters and I added classic players to their teams. So I have Jordan on the Bulls, Larry on the Celtics, etc. It's alot of fun and challenge and I get alot more key games now. I'm on New Jersey 28 games in, since Brook Lopez got injured we have lost 5 in a row.

It's been a while since I've been on. But, I finally won a championship and gained MVP honors with the Bucks. I literally carried that team to the chip. I knocked out the C's in the first round, knocked off the Miami Heat, then knocked off the Bulls which included a ridiculous 109 point game. I hated to score that much (scored 80+ poitns multiple times) but I was determined to take the team to finals. I was a bit disappointed in how the presentation was from winning it all but I did like the photo shoot with the president. I started a 3rd season and im now a Hawk. Much slower paced half court offense and I kind of like it. I have some reliable players like Joe Johnson and Al Horford. Delonte West is the worst point guard ever, in my opinion. I don't have to attempt so many shots like I did with the Bucks. I was attempting damn near 50 shots. Now I attempt around 25, as long as we're not losing.

I'm rated 99 now but haven't maxed out everything. I probably won't need to since I'm doing well. I've averaging about 45ppg. I'm not sure how long I'm going to play this season if not win it all again, probably play up until the all-star game or until I finally get MVP.

Just had 3 straight games of double doubles against the Pacers, Heat, and Cavaliers.

Tip for you guys that my friends and I discovered - offensive and defensive awareness affects you so much. Raise those by like 10 and youll notice an enormous difference in how you play. Your player gets more open on looks, gets rebounds easier, steals easier etc. Its awesome.

Try it out. I'm gonna try and get both over 90 for sure.

Also, I got my CB3 billboard

But Ill also ask again - what difficulty/slider set do you guys play on? Default or simulation?

I've been switching back and forth now between pro and all star. Havent noticed much of a difference, I just want better games and my teammates to play better.

I am 96. I still have a few ratings I am still improving. But after that I will imrpove small stuff. I am a Athletic PG. I try to only shoot around 19-25 shots a game and aroun 20-30 points a game. Even though I have a 90+ in every shooting category(besides 3pt, at 87 now), I dont take a lot of jumpshots. Most of my attempts are Layup/Dunks/Fastbreaks. I only attempt jumpshots when I can drive or have to put the team on my back. I mostly try to get assists. I will pass up a good shot for a assist.
I will probably just play until I when a ring and NCAA 12 comes out. We(Nets) are 31-8(9 game WS), best in the league. MY first year there we was avg and inconsistent and fell out of the playoff race at the end of the season. This year we are Dominant. We are a Elite Defensive team. I avg 25-30 pts and most of the time the next leading scorer only gets 10-15 pts. But it usually is more than 3-5 players. Most of the teammate points come from fastbreaks or cuts to basket. I avg 27-10-7. I am first in MVP and All Star votes and 2nd in DPOY. As long as I dont get injured, I am a shoo-in for MVP.

The most I ever scored I was trying to break the record in the regular season and I scored 119. Then in the playoffs I realized I want to break the record for most points in a playoff game, so I scored 119. I'm currently on a 13 game streak of 40+ games.

I just made a point guard, got drafted by the Wizards

I plan on making him arrogant though, so I'm going to ask for a trade to a different team. I dont want to play with Wall!

Yeah playing as a PG and having another True PG on the court is not fun. I got drafted by the Hornets. CP3 is great, but when I pass to a open player I dont want him to make his own shot.
Being on the Nets with Devin Harris I didnt like him trying to make his shots, I was happy when he got injured.

I had a pretty good SG going in my second year, but got a little overzealous on cleaning my HD on the Xbox and wiped out all my NBA 2K data. Including all the shoes. I had won a title with Memphis and switched over to Chicago in year 2, where I was averaging a double double for the first 10 games, averaging 28ppg.

I am getting ready to start a new career, thinking PG, wanting to create a pass first, score second player.

Anyone have any tips on how to get on the Suns? I tried all a bunch of times with new players and my SG, and no luck with them ever being an option in FA or as a trade.

I've gotta say, I had 4 turnovers in the First half, no more turnovers, trip-dub, I'll post more on my website in about 7 hours after school. 1-0 in the Finals, Boston vs Denver

I can remember when I was a 50ovr and the game wanted me to stop players like LBJ and Durant (I'm a All around SF). It was nearly impossible to do. Now that I'm the best SF in the league (Position rank, ovr rank and statistically), I can shut down those players and dominate offensively. I still take a lot of jumpshots though. I feel like if I have an open look, I'm going to take that shot anywhere around the floor, I actually help my teammates assist totals, but I know I'm going to have to try and drive to the hoop more. I need to draw more fouls and get more assists which I have been doing so far. I am currently shooting 57% FG, 97% FT, and about 50% 3PT. I got my first ever 4 point play in one of the playoff games. I'm sure all of you had so many 3 point attempts where you got fouled but it was never called. I was shocked when the whistle blew.

Can anyone tell me are the dunks in your packages assigned to a specific direction on the analog stick or it's just random that dunks come out? I've been trying to attempt a 360 tomahawk jam but have yet to do it in game.

If I have a good shot or I cant drive I will shoot. But most of the time I like drive and kick. But I really need to improve my FT %. I am shooting 66%(simmed alot of games in the beginning of season).
                              I think they are random.

I requested a trade for my point guard, and got it just a few games later. Im on the Knicks now. Very happy to get away from the Wizards and being John Wall's 2nd fiddle.

I like this trade because now I can hopefully form my own big three with myself, Melo, and Amare (I even use Melo's jumpshot). Only problem is the team is LOADED with crappy guards and has no one else good besides Amare and Melo. Too bad both those guys are really good
