Another question, the layup and dunk packages. What do they do? I use Dwayne Wade's lay up package but dont see a difference in the layups i do, is there a button i have to hit?

Scoring has been hardpressed, and the CPU Dantoni is running out lineups w/ Gallo playing Center when Ronny Turiaf rests on the bench.

I scored a career high 14pts, but did so in a loss to Orlando.

I also had the worst game of my early career coming in game2 of the season @ Boston, and it was a KEY GAME where I wound up scoring a D- Teammate Grade and netting a -473 skill pts which doubled to -946.

How does the game account for this? I noticed that in my next game, I entered w/ a skill pt balance of -946, and it appears that the game dropped my ratings in certain skills. My medium jumper which is usually an 85 was dropped down to a 79.

Does it drop that -946 skill points from the attribute where you've invested at least that many pts in? Or does it deduct a certain % of pts from a variety of attributes that I've increased?

Whatever the case, after I finished the game where I entered w/ negative skill pt balance, my skill pt balance after that game reflected the skill pts that I earned in my last game, and did not deduct from my negative balance.

I thought this was rather dumb. I was actually hoping that if I had a -946 and earned only 138 skill pts. Then I should now have a -808 skill pt balance, and have to earn my way back to a positive skill pt balance. IMO that would better reflect the stagnate development cycles that players go through.

Anybody else encounter this in their MyPlayer careers?
        Bump. Anybody?

Most are contact dunk/layups or contested ones!

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

Looks like I may be done with myplayer for at least a little while. I had 3 different my players saved as I had changed positions and styles while I was struggling in the combine. My first was a pass first point guard who I played enough to get drafted (1st pick 2nd rd), my 2nd was a scoring SG who I hadn't even finished a combine game yet, and finally a rebounding C who I had played about 35 NBA games with.

I decided to delete the SG and recreate him as an athletic SG to give me something a little different to play around with. I played it enough to get drafted in the first rd by the blazers and even a few NBA games. Today I went to reload my C and when I loaded the file it loaded the SG that I had deleted. It had deleted my C instead of my SG. I know I had deleted the correct file because they all had unique names (in this case the first name of the player) and the name on the file I was loading was the file for the C. So now I've lost all of that hard work that I've put into this mode and likely not going to go back for a while. Was getting a little bored with actually, my guy was way too dominant on the boards. Since becoming the starter I was outrebounding the 2nd best rebounder in the league by doubling his average. BTW, #2 in rebounding was my teammate.

I cant be bothered to start again as a SG, I dont know what to do...so im taking a couple days break from it to decide lol. Wish I could just edit my primary position, but oh well...
im in the same situation right now...im doing better than derrick rose and ronnie brewer...i mean, i dont mind coming off the bench...i would like to win both rookie of the year and 6th man during my rookie season but if they do choose to start me, i rather have derrick rose move to SG...we rarely score points when he runs point because he doesnt seem to call any plays...all he does is drive to the basket and occasionally kicks it out...

There is one bad thing about being put into the starting line up so early, You cannot win 6th man.... Its good to see stats matter, and it accounts to being a strter or bench warmer, But that means I can't win every award like I want to

Well my All-Around SF has now played in 29 games. After being picked 21st by OKC I was traded. I missed almost all of December with a severely sprained ankle. I'm the starting SF for the Lakers averaging 16 pts, 6 rebs, 5 assists per game.

I'm loving playing for the Lakers though. Fisher distributes the ball well and I don't have to do everything. We are currently 38-5...6 games ahead of the Spurs for the top spot in the West.

They are even going to ask me for advice on trades...but I'm not sure I really want to trade for anybody.

Why is everyone being drafted by the grizzles and thunder?

I am about ready to make a change.

Had a huge game again against Houston in a madly competitive and close rivalry game but the blocks were ridiculous. Yao nearly had a triple double with them! I'm thinking I'm ready to go back to All Star Sim. Probably won't have any 40 point games any more but at least I'll be playing basketball.

It's still pretty easy to score on All Star/Sim, so I wouldn't say that just yet.

I'm almost done maxing everything out for my SF. All that's left is hustle, strength, offensive clutch, defensive clutch, durability, and 3pt. After I max those to the highest point possible I will make a new guy in a different position. Possibly pg. I plan to do this with all position so I can use what ever position I'm feeling for a crew or pickup game.

Well I gotta ask for a trade. The shots John Wall keeps throwing up are atrocious. All he does is ball hog and shoot bricks. I keep wishing that I could choose to call him out specifically in the press conferences as the reason we have lost 6 in a row. The funny thing is I kinda hate him in real life now because of this game haha.

Favorite my player moment so far:
I picked "big dog" as my nickname but Both my first and last names are in the data base so the anouncers always just say my real name. Last game I hit 4 threes in a row and the anouncer said "the big dog is on the hunt". Thought that was pretty cool.

I love this mode and am pretty sure I'll be loving it even more once I get the hell away from John Wall.
