Look past the boxscore because there's more to a player's "greatness" than just individual stats.....especially when you play in a unstructured 'highschool' type of offense where you dominate the ball 95% of the time for your team.

He's great for "fantasy leagues" though. LOL.
this is nba2k11. Its not "more than a players greatness" 2k11. Everything is measured by stats and attributes in this game.

Well, yeah, many guys are missing, but it's nice to have some of them.
not really, the second half of the season, BJ got really inconsistent.

Has he added anything to his game during the summer? I really wasn't into the NBA during the off-season, so I probably missed a lot of info.

Yeah for everybody wondering why Brandon Jennings is ranked so "low," he ranked 119th in FG% last year at .371. And he played really inconsistent during the 2nd half of the season. I'd say his ranking is on point. Yeah he had a 55 pt. game, but 1 game doesn't get your overall up to the 80s.

The Rudy Gay-Iggy comparison is intriguing...It will be interesting to see their attribute specific ratings and compare those...

Jennings can light it up on offense but his defense is iffy and inconsistent, so a 75 seems like the perfect balance. I could understand the displeasure if Wallace had an 80 free throw or Jennings had a 90 dunk but they don't. It's not like 2k just makes up a random number and calls it the overall, it's influenced by the individual ratings.
I know one good reason why overally is important, the association. Wilson Chandler is rated a 74 and Gallinari is rated a 72 so by 2K10 standards Chandler will be the starting small forward on this team. Stuff like that may not be important in real life but unless 2K can figure out how to make the computer coaches put players on the floor in way besides their overall rating then it is an issue.

Umm? What would give you the impression that I'm a Cavs fan? Because I don't think two of the guys on the Heat should be rated the way they are? Have you by chance seen my signature? I actually hate the Cavs, and hate LeBron even more. I'm a BUCKS fan. Get your facts straight bud. Just because somebody thinks someone from the Heat is overrated doesn't mean that they're a Cavs fan.

It's kinda like how Ginobli is always rated higher than the starting SG for the Spurs. If they fixed the bug where big men jack 3's when you have player roles on, then player roles should work so that Gallinari will stay the starter.

throughout the year the ratings will change due to updates

As a Bucks fan, I'd honestly be happy if he just worked on making his shot more consistent all summer long.

I think it has more to do with shot selection.

True, he does jack up some pretty weird (to be nice) shots, but his stroke is pretty inconsistent too.

Hard to compare players but if 2K11 has the same rating setup as last year I would expect the player ratings to be pretty similar to last year. You really can't compare a center to a guard or a guard to forward.

Jrue Holiday a 70 yet tony douglas rated higher than him and other odd-ball hustle players like Haslem rated higher. Show my boy Jrue some love!
