Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music

I just got the game a couple days ago and just came upon this topic today. I am totally new to this playlist stuff. I have a PS3, which is the better/easiest setup file to download? File option 2/3 or mega upload part 1?

Also...Should i bother trying to find a youtube video or faq to get step by step instructions or are none made yet?

    Thanks

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music

The megapack files are probably the easiest route to go because everything will be included in there already. If you have slower internet and don't have the time to wait for the megapack then i would suggest doing the each file individually.

There are youtube instructions on how to do set up custom arena music, but not one specifically for this thread. The instructions on this thread should get you going pretty easily. You can watch youtube videos to get a better idea of how your going to do it as well. One thing to keep in mind though is that HOMEUP and AWAYUP need to be the same playlist otherwise it gets screwy. If you have any questions, u can always post them here. good luck.

I have WMP 12 and I don't see a way to allow it to reconginize my 360.

Ok so new to this game and trying to figure it all out. Do things get screwey on the ps3 with the custom sounds enabled? I want to put these sounds in and enhance my game because in other sports games they make the experience 100x better, but don't want to run the risk of freezes and such.

Depending on the files you received, different people used different programs (Acid Pro, Ableton, etc.).

                      1. Open Windows Media Player 12, click “File” mouse over “Manage Libraries” and then select what type of media you want to manage. For instance, if you want to stream movies, you will select the “Videos” library.
                      2. Add the folder or drive that the media is stored in. You can also remove the default folders if you do not plan to actually use them. Click “Add…” to add folders. After you have added the folder or folders of your choice, click “OK”. Do this for all the media you wish to stream to your Xbox 360.
                      3. After you have specified the location of your media, click the “Stream” menu in between “Organize” and “Create Playlist”. Select “Automatically allow devices to play my media…”.
                      4. Click the “Stream” menu again and select “More streaming options…”
                      5. The “Media streaming options” Window should now be shown. Name your media library if you want. In the device box, there should be “Xbox 360” listed. Select “Customize”.
                      6. Check the box that says “Make all of the media in my library available to this device”. Then click “OK”.Click “OK” in the “Media streaming options” window and you’re finished.

The game doesn't freeze, the only thing that happens is that the custom arena music could shut off, but that only happens if u keep skipping presentation (crowd noise and commentary will still work though). If you let the presentation run its course, it should be fine. Also, If you play a lot of association mode games, every 3 games the music stops working, so u'll have to quit out of ur game and go back in. One thing to keep in mind though is that HOMEUP AND AWAYUP need to be the same playlist for it to work correctly.

does the ps3 still have the "not shuffling" issue or did they fix it with an update?

this was fixed in the second patch the most recent update which includes 3D Move will have shuffling files.

Just checked in with an update I noticed two nights ago.

I was playing this game with headphones into my monitor, and I realized that the audio actually does not cut off as we had been thinking. It just lowers to probably 1% and it runs through all the songs in the playlist on a constant loop. I still don't know why it does this, or even a solution to the problem, but I just thought it be of interest to the overall discussion to add this little bit of info I observed.

Ok so when I put these files into the game they play very choppy and garbeled, I assume that I have to change the decibel level or whatever was mentioned in the first post of the thread, is there an easy/free way to do this using a mac?
