audacity is free. the reverb effect in that program is called gverb and you need to edit the values to make it sound right.

Anyone know where I can find a longer version of knickoff3(from the download inside the knick specific stuff)? I want to use it as a long event sound maybe not as much with the knick touch to it. Heard it before during games would be awesome to have. Sorry I'm not very specific hard to describe.

Just downloaded this and the updates, top work. One thing I noticed is I'm guessing you meant to include the Bon Jovi song 'You Give Love a Bad Name' (which contains the lyric 'Shot through the heart' at the start of the chorus and is one of their most famous songs) as opposed to the song actually titled 'Shot Through the Heart'. In case you cared at all. Which after all the work that's been done you probably don't
                Yeah.

MSG pt. 2 added 5 new songs from Madison Square Garden. Also uploaded some of the other songs we have compiled since this thread got started in part 1 folder of the zip if anyone hadn't gotten them already.

.db set to 87.6 so hopefully it's coming in clean within the game.

These custom soundtracks in the game are great. Along with the MP3 gain program ive been using a MP3 editor program that lets you cut and paste sound clips or certain parts of songs to play. I just recently added the Requim for a Dream theme for the player of the game song at the end, and have been adding the best part of certain songs to play during the timeouts or home team up.

Does anybody in this thread actually use Audacity to make their songs? I have a question.

I didn't see the need to alter the sound, just knocked the PA level down to between 25-35. Volume is fine.
                        Yeah.

So I have many questions, hopefully someone can help me out lol but my first question,

After setting the custom arena sounds in the front menu, would they still play in the arena online? I feel this is a dumb question lol.

Back from the dead. I spent the past 3-4 hours reading the last 400 or so replies since I last stepped foot in here.

Glad to see many of you holding down the fort with great info. Jeebs, billylee, and the countless others with new songs.. MSG live sounds from a hundred posts back is AWESOME.

I quickly edited the first post with huge letters for new viewers to just go directly down to the bottom of the post for the latest. The first page kind of just grew and progressed out of nowhere.

                                RE: The questions and troubles.
Tutorials are hard to create on my end. I basically googled everything I needed help with, much like billylee has done with providing people with links and such for their questions. For me, dating back to 2k10, it became a game of spending actual time sitting down and troubleshooting what is happening and what I need to have happen. It's hard to put that into steps and in written form.
                                ----------------------
I shall repeat: OPTION #1 is VERY OUTDATED, but features playlists and is for xbox 360 STREAMING ONLY. It contains mutiple folders and is essentially useless to anyone not streaming.

The vast majority will want to use the mega set. And again, Many of these were compilations from dozens of people using dozens of different sources to record/extract. So give yourself an afternoon to listen to the songs and pick out the ones that sound bad or good. Downloading one set is not the END ALL of your journey. There is actual physical work involved after tirelessly downloading something.. Just imagine finding the source, converting, then clipping a song into the proper start and stop position. Then you add reverb. Then you need to check to make sure the FORMAT is proper. MPEG 1 LAYER III is what the ps3 likes. So if its not that, then you need to use another program to get it properly converted.. mp3gain also doesnt like anything not mpeg1 layer III, so once you get the file type straight, you can use mp3 gain... After that, you can begin creating playlists.. But wait, some of these files already have tagging in place. So that was also another thing someone did.

Last few pages were hard to follow. Asking for help is fine but realize you are at mile 23 of a 24 mile marathon. Many others doing this on their own start from the very beginning with little to no help at all..

I agree the first post can be a bit confusing, but if you dont have a bandwidth cap, download everything and inspect just what is going on and get an idea of what is there.

                                ---------
I have some files to look through.. Thanks fellow OSers. Time to update my game.
