That Knicks organ music from that video wasn't good. It was off compared to the one I'm use to hearing. I have to find a video of a better one.

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I just downloaded option #2 for the 360 & I do have streaming set up through connect 360. I imported all the music into iTunes but my question is how do you have playlists set up? Like what or how many playlists did you make and whats in them?Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
file option #1 may be the one youre looking for. It has playlists set up for WPL format. What format does connect 360 use? You may just need to create your own playlists in order to get it to work with connect 360. So using file option #2, the one you already have, I would recommend, sorting by Artist, and just analyzing what you see. Theres hundreds of GENERIC LONG, and GENERIC HOME AWAY UP. Sprinkle in some team specific stuff and you get an idea of what needs to be created.

jeebs, thanks for stepping in and trying and answer as many questions as you can. Maybe the first post wasn't clear enough. If someone has a better tutorial or FAQ to get things across more clearly, I will update the first post.

I think confusion is happening because I believe fatleg3 has the ps3 version that isnt randmozing ANYTHING. essentially proving that the ps3 method is BROKEN. Meanwhile extremegamer is showing the 360 version has it's few flaws but plays everything randomly.
What we'll find out tomorrow is that maybe all ps3 users should just not even have custom arena music if there is no randomness to the songsComment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I don't know if ot would make a difference but on the PS3 you can go to your playlists in the music section and set the songs to 'shuffle'. I figure if nothing else itd be worth a shot.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Well I have a mac so those wpl playlists don't apply I believe, unless theres a way to import them to itunes or whateverComment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
and1play51 so file option #2 is your best bet. Using itunes, import that entire folder, and youll see all the appropriate taging and sorting that basically CREATES your playlists.
"Hey theres 250 long generic tracks. Do I want them all in every venue? 20 in one? half In some venues and half in the others?" Whatever you want, you can create with a simple click and drag into a new playlist.
Once you get going, its a 2-3 hour project.

thakeaf, File option #3 has everything you need. USB flash drive seems like one of the easier methods to get the custom music on your ps3. Then you create playlists via the dashboard. "Menu" tracks are really just the non in game tracks, ie halftime or POTG. I dont think we can truly edit the true MENU.Comment

I had to basically spend a couple of hours last night recreating the playlists in Itunes.Comment

Can't wait to get the game and play around with this feature. Loved messing with sounds in The Show and NCAA Football.Ryan Spencer

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I tried for ps3 mac guys, I really did. I spent like 4 hours recreating all of the playlists in WMP. I resaved every playlist from the WPL default to M3U. Then I simply tried to drag and drop that playlist into Itunes. That seemed to somewhat work. What shouldve been a 19 song playlist turned into a 16 track playlist. You sorta had missing tracks everywhere, and your library was a mess because it didnt pick up on the tracks coming from one source. IE, every long playlist has the same 4 "popular songs". So it would duplicate those in the library.
I can try again if you guys would like. It would be file option #1, with m3u playlistsComment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Tried again with the WPL to M3U resaving method and its working great.
Im not about to do another 2-3 hours of work but it works.
Heres what I did:
FILE OPTION #1..
step 1. Drag just the NBA folder into itunes.
step 2. You need WMP for this. Start playing back every WPL playlist and resaving it as a M3U. Once those are all finished go onto the next step.
step 3: Now you can go back to Itunes, and go to FILE, LIBRARY, IMPORT PLAYLIST. Now you'll have the same playlists as what was being done with WMP.
-Itunes will continue to state that many of the tracks are duplicates. You are just going to have to live with that.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
no problem. I have a mac and could possibly test all this out. But Im positive this is the right method. I have everything I need setup so to potentially mess things up On my end, Im not gonna jump into connect 360 and a mac setup.
Do mac's have WMP that can play the WPL playlists? It's just a matter of sitting down and resaving those 110 playlists.. Either that or go with file option #2, and REALLY recreate every playlist from scratch. First method may take a half hour. The other 2-3 hours.Comment

file option #2 has zero playlists. Its strictly mp3s.

Man this is really dissapointing if this is the case. I was already really hyped for this game and was looking forward to it no matter what but when i heard custom music was on the PS3 i absolutely flipped! It really makes playing in every arena a different experienceComment
