New File set #1 (m3u playlist version) CONNECT360 and WMP streaming version - with updates #1 and #2 included.

Now I'm not on a mac right now to truly test this out, but I was able to import one playlist at a time to get the playlists into iTunes. Someone with a mac and a xbox 360 with streaming could tell you the true step by step. All I tested was that a few m3u's imported into Itunes alright. and they did. Someone else who fully gets this set working should be able to provide better indepth instructions

Just got the game, am on this thread to see if somebody can help me with intructions on how to but music on my xbox360 with out ripping a CD to my hardrive for the arena sounds. Thanks guys.

FILE OPTION #1 users:

sorry for the flood of posts. I just so happened upon a bit of an error in the WMP interface that people might want to look into. If youve been messing with a lot of tracks in the WMP program, I think you may need to reboot the system by deleting all tracks and playlists in the library and then SEARCH for them again and give WMP a fresh look at the files.

I turned on my 360 just awhile ago and saw that I was about 30 tracks shy. I didnt know why. But I decided I should clean up my library in WMP and get all the inactive files out by reSEARCHING the my music folder-

For a clean reboot, delete all the files from the library (when you press delete, youll be given an option to only delete from LIBRARY)...

Then go to:
TOOLS--> OPTIONS-->LIBRARY--> MONITOR FOLDERS
Check mark the box that reads "Add files previously deleted from library".

This quick reboot of WMP fixed any playlist issues I had.

Just something to think about if you have been messing with a lot of new files and adding new stuff.

Hey Ruben,

Problem with the new M3u files. They import into itunes fine but when the import the playlist is blank/empty. Any idea what the problem is?

Both sets of folders are side by side right? I know with WPL format, if you move the my playlist folder away from it being side by side with the NBA folder, it has issues finding the files..

I'll turn on my mac, and test it out real quick.

My initial test of a m3u into Itunes worked just fine.

I first imported the entire NBA folder. then went with IMPORTING playlists ONE BY ONE into itunes. Are you going one by one?

When you add each m3u playlist, the itunes file set gets larger and larger with the 'duplicating files'. im not sure of a workaround right now.

gimme a couple minutes to mess around in mac os

Yea the ps3 custom music is busted. During timeouts I keep getting the same song over and over. I haven't had a home or away walk up sound play yet. Also the tip off songs are pointless because they last for literally 5 seconds if even that.

aholbert, you're right. They simply dont show up. You can open the m3us in a text editor and see that their location is ..\..\nba\etc... A quick internet search shows that some m3us save as a ABSOLUTE location (c:/my music/nba) and some save as a RELATIVE location ( which this set seems to do with the ../../nba)

When you save a new playlist in itunes on a mac, youll get a file location like... user/my name/desktop/nba...........

My first importing session copied all the files into the ITUNES/MUSIC folder with all the folder structuring gone. So I thought that may be part of the problem. I then tried turning off the "copy all files to itunes folder" upon importing, and the source LOCATION for all my itunes is right into that NBA folder.. still no luck

theres like 3-4 other methods I tried on the mac.. Im currently trying a listfix for m3u's.

what a process man.

Ugh, that's disappointing. Was really looking forward to setting up some sweet custom sounds.

It's driving me crazy that with all the people getting the game right now we still don't know if we get custom audio for pc version, I mean does anyone have the pc version at this point?

my head is about to explode. sorry mac ps3 connect360 users. it appears the path of the m3u files are relative (meaning they should load up just fine wherever they are) and they still arent working has me confused. Many different programs that save m3us save them differently. But that, on the surface, doesnt seem like the issue.

Another 3 hours of effort to help.

So I decide to get back to windows, open up the m3u in Itunes and EXPORT the playlist.. A SAVED itunes m3u. This should work right?? Wrong.. I open up the m3u in a text editor and see that the paths are ABSOLUTE stating: h:/cam... H:// being my usb drive that Im using going back and forth from computers.

The path of the playlist on the flashdrive in mac OS is something like \volumes\H\cam. so it doesnt match up to import into itunes on the mac.

My only suggestion if you want to continue to use connect360 and a mac.. FILE OPTION #2, and create your own itunes m3u from a MAC on a MAC.
Or you can try a listfix type program that could possibly fix your playlists paths

I re edited the first post. WPL is windows media playlist format.

For a mac, depending on what system you have, you have either file option #2 or #3 to mess around with. You need to figure out if you know how you are going to get music in game. Streaming vs. ripping cds vs. usb flash drive on ps3.
