For some reason it stops at Pistons HALFTIME therefore I cannot assign any music/sounds for teams that are alphabetically after the Pistons (ie: Suns, Thunder, Wizards, etc). Is this happening to anyone else?
    BTW I have a PS3

It's because NBA 2k11 only allows 64 playlists into the game, no matter how many you actually made on the ps3 dock.

        My thinking is:
I could throw out the live team chants (which are good but possibly unneeded) and even the live defense chants, along with all the other real life chants, and simply use that chant team playlist and chant defense playlist for a few hiphop instrumentals? Is that how your setup is?

Once you involve custom music, it seems like the arena goes into crazy mode playing sound bits randomly. With it off for me, everything played out appropriately with crowd interaction on alot of stuff.

I heard a LETS GO MAGIC chant in game or GO MAGIC GO chant that someone was asking about.. well its in the game already, which i thought was pretty cool.

I also heard a few "instrumental" type songs from 2k beats thrown into the home up mixture .

I do wonder if some of these chants are duplicate plays in other venues.. I'm gonna have to push through an entire evening playing every venue at once.

Cool thing about my player LONG songs being there, you can pretty much hear more than 30 seconds of the song as the timeout runs its course
Very interesting. When I've heard the game without the music it sounded great.

BTW, I figured a work around with the 360 not ripping music. I ripped the CD back into iTunes, then back to a CD. A longer process, but worked and now I have every Ruben Long song and the other up/down songs I wanted.

Gave up completely on tip off sounds as it's just not played long enough for the effort. I actually like what the game does for player sounds so skipped those too. Most of them sounded great but in the overall game just didn't work the way I would want them to.

Me, I want to get GN'R "Welcome To The Jungle" in there for some before game music.

          Anybody else?

I've actually found the offense/defense chants to play pretty well with the in-game sounds. I'll need to test again, but i only really noticed them after made baskets. They do play less frequently than home up/away do, but i think thats actually a blessing in disguise. I'm afraid that having playlists for home/away and chant offense/defense would be too much and we wouldn't be able to enjoy what is already in the game.

The only defense chant im using as of right now is the lakers defense chant and i think a couple of the raptors and bulls ones.

Ok thx. Looks like I'm gonna have to cut some of these teams. Didnt seem like I had that many though. Damn

i was just about to try the custom music but this post had me wondering... do you mean it will only show the 1st 64 songs on your ps3? NCAA Football has an issue like that where the 1st 100 or so songs on your ps3 appear for you to choose from so if the song you want isnt one of the 1st 100, its not available to pick. So i had to edit the titles. Is that what you mean? If so then i prob wont bother using custom music because every new game that comes out that has custom music in it, i gotta erase all the music from my other games to get the music to appear. MLB the Show was the only one that at least showed you all the songs on your hard drive for you to put in your playlist to choose from.

Are they shuffling, such as if you put more than one song in a folder it will play all the songs, or just the first one int he folder?

Right now I'm trying to get this to work, pretty much I'm understanding that you only get one custom song per event and then the default ones around it. When the patch comes out then we can put as many as we want in the game.

That's my confusion, if you guys got it working right I'm really trying to get it going on my ps3 version.

I have not tried putting multiple mp3s in one folder.

You actually included the Let's Go Magic chant in the third update, I think. It was listed as a Heat chant.

I heard the Magic chant in last year's game that was already in there, however, it does not play often. In fact, when I played a game in Orlando last night, the Lets Go Magic chant was not played at all during the game. So, the fact you included it is much appreciated!

Songs have nothing to do with it. It only allows 64 playlists, so if you have more than that, you should delete them all to have 64 exact.

You can have as many songs as you want in a playlist, but for us PS3 users, it only plays the first song in each playlist which is beyond me, takes away the whole purpose. Hope its fixed in the next patch

Thats good to know.. My last setup I had the same HU-AU playlist with 20 songs for HOME UP and AWAY UP. Then I had a CHANT DEFENSE playlist with 5 generic chant defenses plus most of the HU-AU playlist... Chant team had just 3-4 solo generic tracks. So essentially I had 3 events with the same 20 songs.. Maybe not the best utlitization of my tracks. At one point, I had three different groups of songs in one venue but it still seemed to play most of my stuff way too much and none of the true IN GAME 2k11 sounds.. With what youre saying and it being played less frequently, thats exactly what I want.

Now I gonna go with two playlists. CHANT TEAM(offense) has one group of 20 songs, with CHANT DEFENSE (defense) having its own set of 20 songs.

Home up and Away up shall remain blank

That sounds like a good idea, the only arena i will have the HU-HA playlists for after the patch will probably be the lakers...since we have so many of their organs. Of course more testing will be needed post-patch, maybe HU-HA will play just as well with the in-game as the chants

Wow. So I took away HOME up and AWAY up playlists for various teams and just set a chant team (old home up playlist) and chant defense (same chant d playlist) and I'm hearing a great variety of things.

We may be ODing the system by even using Home Up, Away Up, and the two chant events.

Give it a shot guys. I'm liking what im hearing so far

I'm hearing considerably more in game sounds
