Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Uploaded another file set with mostly LONG songs, but also some others as well. I also put the "GO DJ" player sound in this one since somebody said they weren't sure which file set it was in.

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
What you need to do is have Windows Media player connected with your computer. After that save your play list in Windows media player then go on your Windows Media player your songs should be there the it should show up under arena music. Hope this works because it worked for me you don't need to rip a CD into your 360.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Is it worth doing the "Tipoff" or should I just leave it? I'm thinking of leaving it and doing it IF they patch it up, would that be the smart thing here?Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
^Nahh. I think the tip-offs right now are sufficient considering that they only last for 4-5 seconds of every game. Player sounds may happen a lot during a game so I would think that it should be the focus now as people, most notably Ruben but others deserve a lot of credit as well, has done a nice job on the LONG and HOME UP/AWAY UP and POTG and MENU songs so I think player sounds are now what's missing.
By the way, I heard Jay-Z's "Encore" for JJ Hickson.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
This is my first 2K title I have purchased since NFL2K5. I used to sit there for hours copying tracks to my Xbox and customizing sound clips for everything. I really wanted that experience again with this NBA game, but lost my entire song library on my computer. =( After doing some research I found this gem of a forum and just wanted to tell you how amazing of a job the OP has done and to everyone else as well.
I played the Knicks 1994 Go NY go, song for my wife as she grew up watching the the Knicks with her dad, having season tickets. It honestly brought tears to her eyes. We're planning on taking my Xbox and laptop to her parents for Thanksgiving and I wanted to especially show her dad this game with the music as I think he would really enjoy it.
I'm away on business at the moment, but had a couple questions, so when I get back home I can set this up in the game. I've already downloaded option #1 and have my current laptop shared so I can stream music.
#1 What would be the next step(s) on streaming this to play in the game?
#2 Also, I downloaded one of my most favorite clips of all time I would hear at games. The Dan Devine speech from Rudy. "No one and I mean NO one, comes into our house and pushes us around!" What would be the steps on adding that clip to the rest of the tracks to play it in the game and what would be in your guy's opinions the best place to use that clip? Home/Away chants?
Thanks again for taking the time to create something that gives such an immersive and realistic experience; taking an already realistic and great experience from the game to the next level with these arena clips!Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Even though I can't use most of these yet since I'm on the PS3, I've been making quite a few custom tracks for the game. They are all similar to the format that Ruben used in his files as far as the labeling goes. And they are all reverbed and at around 90db.

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Just an update on what i'm thinking and random thoughts:
I havent provided an update since about post #800 or back to the 13th-14th of October. Since then, squeakybirnbaum has posted two great sets, almatic has some great stuff, bonethugmug has some additions, and some other misc. downloadable files.
I also copy and pasted all of the posts that had suggestions or just general notes on what people heard for each venue. I will need to look through the main file sets and all the updates to see if those tracks are already in there..
Also with the new sets that others have brought us, I will need to see if any suggested songs are among those.. So that may take some time.
Lastly, should I just assume everyone has all those other filesets and provide a smaller update #4? I dont want to step on anyones toes with the combining of file sets, so im not sure where to go right now
ps jeebs, i tried to add all the major file sets onto the main post at the bottom of the page. A lot of them may not be encoded properly for ps3 usage and the dB levels may not all be there, so that may be another reason to just have a HUGE new file update with everything from the past 3-4 weeks.. Or everyone can just fend for themselves. Im up for whatever but just need some directionComment
