Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Hhhmmmmm, that may stop the music from playing, but I don't think it's the only thing. I've played games before where my custom music just stops playing. Period. Usually sometime around halftime. I didn't adjust any settings, it just stopped.
I *may* have gone to coaching mode for a bit... I wonder if that had anything to do with it?
It's frustrating though, cause I dig the custom music. I will keep messing with it and let you know anything I find.Hey, Hey, Hey!!

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
File option #1
UPDATED AS OF 10/05/10
1A. XBOX 360 STREAMING FILE SET, with M3U playlists already set up.
how do you transfer this file to the XBOX 360?
I tried copying it to a flash drive and it did copy but the XBOX does not seem to read the file.
Burn it onto a dvd and then copy it to your hard drive?
If so, I assume a data DVD?
Please note I do NOT want to stream. I want to get the file onto my XBOX.
thanksLast edited by mrjordan; 11-30-2010, 09:43 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I am trying to import the file on page one of this thread.
It says m3u.
I just want to get the file to work.
Otherwise please tell me what the options are for importing files into XBOX.
The file works fine when I stream it but I would prefer to have the file on the hard drive because I am not wireless and its a hassle to run the cable across the room. Just can't figure out how to make the XBOX copy the file over!

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
mrjordan,
you'll want to go with file option #2/3 or the MEGA SET that was posted a few pages back that has a compilation of everything.
If you dont stream on xbox 360, you are looking at burning MUSIC discs, that are 70 minutes long. Upon burning, youll have songs with no names. so youll have to name them. Upon naming them, youll have to create your own playlists. The process is long and hard.
File option #1 is not recommended for anything but streaming as youll see dozens of folders that are useless if you aren't streaming. The other file option #2/3 or MEGASET is strictly all files in one folder, where you will strictly do all of the work. be prepared to burn 20 CD-Rs, rip hundreds of unnamed tracks, and then fish through all of that mess to properly name and create playlists.Last edited by RubenDouglas; 12-01-2010, 06:00 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I don't know what to put my custom settings as. I've experienced twice now where the music just completely stops playing, incuding the 2K music during the games. One time all I did was change my coaching strategies in the pause menu. The other time I didn't do anything and the music stopped. Ive tried putting home up playlist in the home up column, ive tried putting it in the team chant column, ive tried putting home up playlist in both and the music - when it does play during the game, won't play the entire game or will play the same 7-8 songs every game I play. Mind you I have about 40 home up songs in that playlist. My long timeouts playlist stops playing also during the game. I think what maybe the key to what jeebs is doing, I think he may have home up playlists for specific teams and long timeout playlist for specific teams. But I have just on generic home up playlist and long timeout playlist set for all the teams.
Maybe I need to make different playlist for all of the teams, instead of just one to make this feature work better?? At this point it seems 2K needs to patch the PS3 again and correct this. Has anyone alert Ronnie or the devs about this issue yet?Comment

So your suggestion (if I dont want this to take a long time) then is to stream option 1, correct?
I am making classic 70's rosters (see roster section on this OS site- should be released this week) and want to create 70's music in game to make it a fully immersive experience. So I will replace a lot of the hip hop with disco/rock. Everything from The Commodores to KC and the sunshine band to Ted Nugent, LOL. But naming hundreds of files will take too much time to get it done this week.
what is your suggestion?
Thanks!Last edited by mrjordan; 12-01-2010, 11:12 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Yeah, I don't know about this custom music feature, ive only experienced one game so far were the music constantly played correctly, played a large variety of songs and played throughout the entire game. I know for home up playlist there was a debate on wether or not to set this playlist under the game settings for home up or team chant or possibly both to get better results. Did anyone ever figure out which of the three should we set this at?Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
In my opinion the game has enough chants so we don't have to set them.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
