after removing the chant playlists i havent ran into "defense" chant when home team has the ball anymore.

my main gripe is that the "long" playlists never play during timeouts in historic and created team arenas, they play after quarters but timeouts are silent. every thing else seems to work fine for me. well other than "long" playlist songs being played for tipoff in these arenas but thats no biggie.

i really hope we can get a solution soon for all these issues, either by patch or figuring out what causes all these problems. i spent a good deal of time working on a custom set to go with my 89-90 roster, its great in most stadiums, just wish the old school ones worked properly.

Last night I assigned a home up playlist for the EAST teams, and a Home up for the West teams. Played one game in Atlanta and one in Oklahoma. In the Atlanta arena I heard a total of 4 out of 30 home up songs the entire game?? And in in Oklahoma I heard a total of 5 out of 35 home up songs?? So I don't know what going on. This feature is getting on my nerves. I made sure to assign the playlist in the Home up in the 2K playlist menu. Originally when I had one home up playlist of 70 different songs, and assigned it to play in all areneas, songs played more often, but it seemed like it was the same 9-10 songs in every arenea and in some arena's the songs didn't even play.lol.

The only problem I came across was when I made team specific LONG playlist. I would add genric tracks to some. So to increase the randomness. But it would only play 2 tracks on the whole list which was usually around 5-6 songs.

Were there repeats in these files? I was asked if I wanted to overwrite files from Part 1 with Part 2.

I got the same message, so probably there is. I don't know for sure though...

Ok. After removing team chant and team defense I haven't had the music turn off on me. Not hearing a wide array of songs but at least it's not turning off.

hmmm. Is it stating what file is being overwritten. Winrar created the two parts by spliting the main folder. So if the folder had no duplicate names, combining the two back together shouldnt have an issue

In regards to everything else, I unfortunately havent been playing enough to diagnose the situation. I told myself once I got it in there working at least somewhat decently, I would leave it alone.

I will try to help though. It may be a console issue. everyone should state where their problems are coming from.

I'll play a full game later tonight and write down what I hear.

I have admitted earlier, the IN GAME sounds that came with the game are very good. But some of the sounds are VERY VERY rare as others have stated. You may hear a cool sound just once all game.. I'm thinking of recording a game with all the sound levels at zero except PA. I'd be able to recreate every sound in game and save them as a mp3. So real sounds could be added to our custom lists. But even then, the randomness even with 25 CHANT TEAM tracks doesnt seem to be there at all.

So with the in game chants turned off, all thats really left is timeout which for some venues barely seems to play. and tipoffs are broken...

what im trying to get at is, if you really want to spend as little time as possible on this, create 3 playlists for ALL ARENAS and call it a day.

-GENERIC ALL HALFTIME
-GENERIC ALL POTG
-GENERIC ALL LONG (for the arenas that do play timeouts properly, it's so worth it)

Everything else, I can admit, seems to be not totally worth it, since 2k's system is messed up

I am able to get LONG (during timeouts no problem) and HALFTIME to work but not able to get HOME UP COURT or CHANT TEAM to work.

Seems like you have the opposite problem?

My settings:
2k beats - all OFF

Tipoff: music
long: same music
Home up court: generic team chants home up
away up court: none
chant defense: none
Chant team: generic team chants home up
halftime: tv theme

Yeah this system is messed up. Last night I made a generic home up playlist with about 30 different sounds/soungs, none of them played the entire game. Whats interesting a error popped up on my screen during the gameplay saying. tracklist cannot be played error - I never seen that before. When the patch first came out for the PS3, the home up songs would play, but now they don't play at all for me. The long timeout playlist seems to be working ok, but my home up playlist does not work anymore.

I would say start over man. My friend had the same problem when I set it up for him. What happen was that he add or had a song that was messed up and the PS3 didn't play it that playlist. What you have to do is erase your settings file. And re apply your playlist.

See... I don't feel crazy... Turn those events off people... The game has a lot of good ones already.

And if you are having any troubles after that. You should look into erasing your settings file and re-doing it over again without the chants. I'm hearing all kinds of music. I heard Rubens new version of (everybody clap your hands), I heard during a timeout some new stuff I added from Rubens Mega set list. (Thanks by the way... Didn't notice you posted it until yesterday.)

Anyone look into making that "I'm a mother****ing monster" for me for Blake Griffin.

But I ran into my first problem last night. The game still only see 64 playlist. Do a player sound like Vince Carter got blanked out. So I might have t erase a playlist I don't need. Probably erase a team I haven't used yet or play enough.
