how about putting some "silence tracks" into your playlists so that you avoid hearing the music and chants every posession?

Great suggestion. I just created 4 "silent" tracks that you can add to the CHANT DEFENSE playlist.

The patch broke it. Now halfway through the game, ALL music shuts off.

People really use music for Chant Defense? I always thought that was something meant for the Home Team only.

Custom music is not working perfectly on my PS3. I am using tracks for chant team, chant defense, halftime, potg, and long, and they are shuffling well but there were a few timeouts when my Long songs would not play. Then all of a sudden early in the 4th quarter ALL custom tracks stopped playing. I was playing as the Lakers at Staples.

I did something that I think might work for ppl on ps3.

Don't assign any playlist to home up and away up(so just set it as none for all teams).

Then for chant team and chant defense, just put the home up music there instead and the music should work fine for the whole game.

That's what I did and it worked.


I know how to change the songs DB, but do I really have to do this like hundreds of times to fix every single song or what?

The custom sounds aren't stopping during games guys. If you pause the game and turn the volume all the way up you can hear one of your tracks on repeat but very quitely. Its obviously a problem with the home up/away up.

Using mp3gain, can't you just select the folder where you have the music? It should load everything there and run through the entire folder for you in one shot.

Man now this is truly broken on ps3. I have california love with lakers opening song and when i played the Knicks the song didn't stop playing till it ended. The whole song played and i have it as the opening song.

You'll find many venues inconsistent almost to the point where you question whether its working. Then youll find some stadiums where it works almost too perfect. You ask yourself, is the it game, is it my computer? It's almost too hard to diagnose the problem.

KNICKS arena for example. Two TIMEOUTS in and I hear it initially for one second but then the PA announcer cuts off the music. 4th timeout, I finally hear something... Same for CHANT TEAM and CHANT DEFENSE. You will hear some in game sounds OVERLAPPING the custom music. It's far far far from perfect. Don't waste more than a couple hours setting this up as it may not even be worth it for you guys.

some of the more generic arenas sound better with custom. maybe they have less in game stuff. Try Bobcats or Sixers or Bucks. Those places play almost flawlessly

Yup, was playing a game in Miami today and all the custom music completely stopped working after the second timeout. Then I went back to the main menu, and the menu music wasn't even playing.

I question 2k11 Custom Music this year, it is still broken after the patch.

Yeah to support what Ruben said, that's the reason in my breakdown a few pages back I noted each time what Arena I was playing in.

Places like Memphis & Dallas are fine but then Atlanta & Orlando won't work properly.

What always works:

- HALFTIME & POTG

What sometimes works depending on the Arena:

- CHANT DEFENSE, CHANT HOME & LONG.

That's for the PS3.
