PS3: My Player Mode

after my 20 game every two games every coach in the league gets fired and i get the same two intrview question. Also my cousin after his first triple double in the began of January he saved his game so he can come back later on that day when he was in the 3rd and he loaded the game and when it shows your my player and tells you your goals and to press X to start the game never come on its broken it just stays black, and you please fix those problems soon.

Game Mode: Quick Game (Online Player Match)
Situation: Play Calling (2-3 minutes into the game)
Customization: Play Calling set to Auto w/ Play Call messages on.
Detail: Play call swipe comes up but doesn't show anything in the play call box. I.e. where it usually says what play is being run when play call messages are ON, the swipe will come up but won't show the play that is being called.

I had the same situation on the same system, in addition to the aforementioned description, the scoreboard in the lower right screen was blank (no score or time left) the only thing that displayed was NBA 2k11 logo.

This keeps on happening to me when I try to play in my Association, year 1 in February. I play through the first quarter, and then when they are showing their between quarter presentation, the screen goes black and nothing happens and I am forced to reset.

echo this.. my association was working fine and then this **** keeps happening now.. can't get past 1st qtr

the only thing i can remember doing before this **** happened is on the main menu checking out the living rosters which brought back nba today

but why would that affect my association?

the lag issue and the time it takes to find an online opponent HAS to be fixed currently this game sucks online. And that's why I got it.

DETAILS (Please be as detailed as possible in text): As a lot of posts on this site have said, the game freezes in my player mode when trying to load up the post game press conference. This has happened to me after about my 20th game in the NBA but others have reported it sooner and later. What I have done is try to use ingame saving to correct the issue, turn the auto save feature off, delete my game data off my ps3, save to a different file, restart the game, edited my player's appearance, all of which have not solved the issue. As far as options I did with my character, I recently requested a trade from the Heat but this is the 3rd time I have requested to be traded, so I have doubts that it is tied to that.

ALL ASSOCIATION BUGS/GLITCHES !

1.
SYSTEM: PS3
GAME MODE: Association
SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): Any time/season
CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
DETAILS: AI teams fire coaches and hire new ones to be fired way too soon. Its the timing. A coach gets fired (ramdomly throughout the season), a new one is hired and just week later or before, he gets fired too. I have seen this at least 12 times in 20 different simmed associations.

2.
SYSTEM: PS3
GAME MODE: Association
SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): Any time/season
CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
DETAILS: The AI edits players roles when injured but doesnt readjust them once healed, causing players to be discontend and more subsequent problems.

SYSTEM: PS3
GAME MODE: Association
SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): Any time/season
CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
DETAILS: The home court advantage needs to be tweaked, as of now no more than 3 teams get positive records during a regular season and the negative records are too extreme. Also, during playoffs, the home court advantage is causing too many and extreme blow outs in favor of home teams.

SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): At the begining of season
CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
DETAILS: The modes reset all rotations and redo it ramdomly, also if edits are made to players roles, once the modes start they get back to default. On previous itinerations rotations and situationals were transfered integrally from the main mode.

5.
SYSTEM: PS3

CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
DETAILS: The hard coded progression rate is a little overdone as players shouldnt progress despite having their potential edited down to 25 and despite having no playing time at all.

CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & custom draft class
DETAILS: On draft day different AI teams are picking the "same" player over and over, subsecuently the other rookies go into FA and then are signed by teams. Ultimatelly it looks like teams wasted their picks as there was just one player and not multiple clones.

CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters & be it generated draft class
DETAILS: There are many high rated FAs (with 90 & 80 ovrl ratings) that remain unsigned. Probably due to teams stacked with overrated & overpotentialled rookies.

DETAILS: There are NO trades (0). Making custom draft classes with no overrated rookies seems not to solve this.

CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters & be it default or custom draft classes
DETAILS: There are teams with more than 15 players and when you try to release the ones that are over the limit or anyone within that roster, you cant and therefor cant continue with the mode. That is while controlling all teams but putting in auto all the options for 29 AI teams to le it controll each one.

DETAILS: The generated draft classes are bringing rookies way overrated on ratings and potential, causing an stacked league of superstars, just after 1 or 2 seasons.

DETAILS: Once you assing practices, the trade value of players on your team and ramdomly across the league are decreased to 1 star.

CUSTOMIZATION: Be it default or sim gamestyle & be it default or custom rosters
DETAILS: The "timing" of the occurrence of trades is off (not total amount), trades should happen more on the offseason, draft day and close to trade deadline; should be very scarce in other points throughout the season. As of now there are trades even within the first week of the season and also it would be good if they could consider standings as they are doing trades despite teams records.

I generally stay out of this thread, but I've seen more glitches in 5 days with this game that I have seen in all the NBA 2Ks combined in this console generation.




SYSTEM: PS3

GAME MODE: ALLSTAR/SIMULATION (Quick Game)

SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): Whenever the user has a legitimate fast break or clear path opportunity to make an easy dunk/layup or block against the CPU

CUSTOMIZATION (Were you using specific sliders/roster edits): None, I don't do sliders or roster edits

DETAILS (Please be as detailed as possible in text): Whenever a perfect fastbreak or breakaway opportunity, basically whenever I have a clear path to the basket for an easy dunk on simulation style, the stupid On The Fly coaching box pops up. Initially, I thought I was just getting overzealous and pushing the D-pad by accident.

It was happening practically everytime in those situations, so I started watching my hands when those situations arose, and sure enough my hands were no where near the D-Pad. It's like this glitch was there purposely to make sure the user doesn't take advantage of the easy layup or dunk that they worked for. I have to then go my D-pad to take it off the screen and by the time I'm able to react to the play, the CPU defense has caught up therefore negating my easy opportunity.

I've also seen this in situations where I'm in good position to stop opposing fast breaks and just when I'm about to attempt to make the well timed block, the box pops up again. Once again, I have to do to my D-pad to clear it off the screen thus not allowing me to go up for the block like I had planned.

Have you found a solution to this?? I'm having the exact same problem. The pop up menus for coach settings, heat check, etc. are ruining my game!

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet. But some of the my teammates jog back slowly during a transition offense play. I always spot one or two players lagging behind not rushing to the other end like they should.

So I just glanced through this a little..but so is it a fact that assigning practices is what causes trade value to go down to 1 star? Because it just happened to me , and it is a shame because after I assigned practices i finally won my first game lol. But so do I have to start over now?

I just tested this at it does seem to not work in Association mode only because i went to test it in a quick and both hard fouls and intentional fous worked. So this is just a association mode only which sucks because only mode i play. Is anyone seeing this as well on PS3 as well as the 360.

Yeah does not work. I am heated because now I have to erase my association and start over...I will just wait for patch to come out. I'm done buying this game on release day finding I can't even enjoy it. I mean these are HUGE bugs

1. During the course of the first season in my player, nearly every time fired and hired a different coach at least 3 times each. Happens about a month in and keeps happening.
2. Players are not being removed even though they fouled out. They are still on the court playing.
3. AI is not calling plays nor is play vision showing up. Your player is basically running around with no clue what is going on, you are freelancing basically.

DETAILS (Please be as detailed as possible in text): In the My Player Home and Statistics screens, it says I have played 16 games with MEM/CLE (I've only played 8 with MEM) and it lowers my averages by a lot.

SITUATION: When Trophy Should Be Unlocked
CUSTOMIZATION: I took 2K's roster into association, and this happened in my second season(few trades). Default sliders were used

I just got my first triple-double while playing association and I didn't get my trophy. I checked my trophies just in case to see if I already had it, but I didn't. Also if you think it's because I'm in association it's not that because I unlocked the dub-dub(2double doubles) trophy the game before this. I was using Demarcus Cousins in my second season of my association and he put up 21 points, 14 rebounds and 11 blocks(LOL it was awesome). I know that last year you couldn't unlock the online trophies(that's what I heard i'm not sure I didn't play online but had every offline trophy). I haven't heard any issues about the trophies this year. help please

Well before I posted this I played another game, this game I was facing the suns and they couldn't make a shot for the first 7 minutes(12 min quarters) and I got a big head start, I was leading by 41 when I noticed I could get the G-Domination Trophy(win by 50 points or more). I got more aggressive, I ended up winning by 55(141-86) but still no trophy. I had unlocked a trophy earlier today in association mode today idk what happend :S

DETAILS: Well, has no one at 2K noticed that for the 3rd year in a row (at least), every time a generic coach replaces a fired/retired coach, he brings with him his own playbook, which is (drumroll) the 76ers playbook for every damn generic coach in the game





SYSTEM:360

SITUATION: Generic Coach hired

CUSTOMIZATION: not relevant/happens no matter what

DETAILS: Well, every generic coach has no preferences for his roster building or rather every preference is set to the far left/to 0.
Thus (and in combination with the problem above) basically negating the whole roster building/team makeup/play style feature that is supposed to drive this years association mode.

SITUATION: start up

CUSTOMIZATION: quite a few, can´t recall which made it a problem

DETAILS: Well, I can´t start the game signed in to my gamer profile, it freezes every time. Can sign it without it and then sign in, but i shouldn´t have to really, right ?
