I don't have a memory card, where else can I move it to? Do I just have to delete it?

Hi all,

I did come up with a resolution for my freezing on start up when "loading files." I had been making progress on the Jordan Challenge and didn't want to lose that progress, so I was hesitant to delete all my NBA 2K11 files in order to resolve my freezing issue. But last night I tried this...I copied all my backup files to a USB flash drive...basically removed all NBA 2K11 files from my XBox 360 hard drive. Then, I reinstalled the game from the disc, and then copied back my game save file from the USB. This worked like a charm. The game no longer freezes and I still had my Jordan Challenge progress saved. Perfect.

My guess is that a classic roster file that I downloaded from 2K Share was corrupt or something, so that's why my game was freezing when loading files. I definitely won't be downloading any classic files from 2K Share again until 2K comes out with a patch that will resolve this freeze issue. Just wanted to follow up to help out any others out there that have this freezing issue on start up when loading files...

I hear you and fully agree. I spoke to technical support on Sunday and they had me clear the cache in my XBox 360 memory and then delete any NBA 2K11 roster files from my memory and then try the game again. I was able to get in and play on Sunday, after doing this.

I did the same thing last night, deleted roster files, and was able to play last night too. But tonight, no dice. I again cleared cache and deleted roster files and the game is freezing in that same spot, when loading files on startup.

Called technical support again and they had nothing for me. They said it is a known issue and there will be a patch coming within a few days, hopefully. This couldn't suck any worse. The game is unplayable. I am really loving this game, but this is absurd!!! I've never had worse issues with a game. Ridiculous! To pay for this game and not be able to play at all right now is infuriating. I may never buy another 2K game!

i had the exact same freezing issue, I went through and deleated all of my files except my player and my chise, so I have a few questions about the Glitch.


Does it have to do with corrupt files or does it have to do with just the MB because I just went through and deleated everything one at a time and to be honest I dont even know if it works yet


and My other thing, I was wearing the CP3 Jordans in my NBA 2k11 My Player will they just dissapear or what because I know all my J's are gone now

I really don't know what was causing this freeze issue that I had while loading files on start up...not sure if it's corrupt roster files or what. All I know is that 2K tech support said it was a known issue and will be fixed in a patch...

It seems that this game. like 2 weeks ago, suddenly feels very different. Contact in the paint is seldom and it is quite easier to beat your man off the dribble than it was at release. It feels like 2K10 again. Just like before, I had to bring game speed down to 45(originally I increased the game speed to 52 and that felt right; now the game has sped up so much that I have to decrease it below 50), help D up to 100, D Aware up to 80 on Superstar/Sim and it STILL feels like penetration is far easier than it did before.

I am starting to think this is some sort of glitch in that this is the second time it has happened so blatantly. It doesn't appear a roster update could be responsible for those sort of changes and there haven't been any updates. The gameplay experience has been very inconsistent not only offline, but online too. It went from physical basketball that required strategy and skill to turbo up the court and take it to the hole every time. This is for the Xbox 360 by the way... have not experienced this with the PC version.

Ever since dl'ing the patch every time I exit association the game freezes.

Any workarounds?

First playoff game in "My Player" mode as a SF for the Pacers, 30 pts, 16 rebs, 9 asts and 2 blocks. Game two... well... who knows because it appears THE FRICKIN' SEASON HAS FROZEN! Does anyone know if the eventual patch for the Xbox 360 will work if I just keep that season on ice or is it lost for good?

I go into season mode, made a Washington Wizards team and them made Export Team option. Come back to main menu, go into roster and then i see 10-12 players with wrong or half NAME! Example, no more "LeBron James", just "James", or no more "Kobe Bryant", now is "Stack Bryant"...

WTF is going on?

Problem: I start the game and it proceeds to load and gets stuck at the "LOAD FILE" screen. I turn off my 360 and try again and it freezes at the same "Load File..." Its happened 10 times in a row. Is it time to get a new disc or will I have the same problem?

Okay, I've obtained the overall homecourt advantage in the playoffs. However for some reason, when I made the finals, the homecourt advantage was given to the Heat. Now, normally, something this small wouldn't bother me, but given the number of things that I've had to either just deal with, or work around in association mode- this really bothers me.

SInce the patch I can't load any of saved highlights (stand alone) or to reel maker ???

It freezes on that screen that shows a team and how many championships they've won.

Anyone else have this problem ??

Configuration: default settings but do not choose a team with cap space.

All you have to do is sim a couple seasons and then go to player contracts view. Filter centers only and start running through the teams. You'll start seeing generated rookies who make around 6-10 (starting) million dollars a year for many years. It's always undrafted C/PFs with OVR 56-58 that make this high money. I know that bad contracts are by design but when it's the same conditions over and over again, that's a bug. Usually these guys are signed at the end of the free agent signing offseason phase (8/14) by Pacers, Kings, Nets, Nuggets, Suns or Pistons. You can open up the League Transactions view to see these atrocious transactions by teams with cap space.

Note that it doesn't happen all the time but is very very common. One time I had Nets, Nuggets, and the Kings overpaying undrafted OVR 56 C/PFs.
