Re: Official NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches Discussion Thread
Compared to 2K10, 2K11 is better in every facet of the game. However there are some things that need to be patched.
1. AI CPU posts-up more compared to 2K10 but the problem is they run the same play too often for the same player (usually big man) and post up too often. CPU hardly runs any pick-and-roll plays or even isolations and don't run plays for others enough. This is a reason why scores are too low even in 12 min Quarters.
For example playing against the Celtics (or setting my Play Calls to Auto) they run the same play for Garnett in the post. Hardly any plays for Pierce or Allen and especially Rondo are called. This is why Rondo rarely scores.
In other words make the play-calling diverse and use all the plays in a teams playbook. Of course star players will have more plays called but it doesn't mean almost every play is the same. This game has good plays out of the box for all teams. Its just that certain plays/players aren't used enough or are not used at all.
Another example is Boozer gets too many plays called for him. Not enough Rose or Deng. Like Rondo, Rose should have a lot of pick-and-roll plays with Boozer. Surprisingly all of Boozer's plays is post-up plays. I thought it would be 2 post ups and 2 pick-and-rolls.
I realize as a human user I can change the plays or use the Quick pick-and-roll feature but the CPU does not have this intellect.
2. 3 point shooting percentages are far too low. This goes for both human user (me) and especially the CPU. Usually on Simulation Game Style both teams shoot around 10% which is far too low. NBA average is 30-40% and of course there will be outliers depending on game to game.
3. Still too easy to block jumpshots. Especially when using turbo at the same time as this creates unrealistic vertical boost for defenders. See here for more details: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...hots-2k11.html
4. Also related to #3 is unrealistic vertical boost when rebounding. Players jump way too high and get too many offensive rebounds from behind. Especially tall guys like Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Reminds me of Space Jam.
5. Post-up shots made outside the paint almost always is a bank shot. I don't know if this was done on purpose. In real life NBA players most of the time don't try to bank the shot. Unless they are very skilled at it like Tim Duncan.
6. Full-court bomb passes are too accurate for the CPU. For me the players have to gather to catch the ball which is realistic but CPU players throw accurately and with great speed which is unrealistic.
7. The play-call names always disappear for the rest of the game usually in the 1st Quarter.
8. When a person get's fouled and goes to the free throw line Clark Kellog says the wrong stats. For example say Boozer is fouled and has 13 points and 7 rebounds. Kellog instead would say something like "Boozer has 13 points and 1 assist" which in most situations announcers would say whichever stat a player has more of.
I may find some more issues as I continue playing this amazing game and will post when I do.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches Discussion Thread
so i'm hearing rotations get messed up when you start an association and that the trade logic is still sort of weird. has anyone tested out chemistry and roles / morale to see if this breaks anything or makes big men shoot 3s? i'm not starting one until everything's fixed...Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches Discussion Thread
I went 5 games into an Association and then I go to trade finder only to find all of my players trade values are at 1 star, so I can't make good trades anymore as all of my players are way undervalued. I checked other teams within the association and they all still had their trade value, I even simulated a few days forward and it didn't fix itself. Anyone know how to/if I can fix this? Thanks.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches Discussion Thread
Can some of you console guys test this out and try to duplicate this bug? I have a hunch it's the same across all platforms:
SYSTEM: PC (though possibly applies to ALL platforms)
GAME MODE: In-game, any mode with auto replays
SITUATION (This includes quarter/time left): Tested early in game, first few minutes
CUSTOMIZATION (Were you using specific sliders/roster edits): All defaults.
DETAILS (Please be as detailed as possible in text): Scoreboard sticking on replay screens (and on any uploaded picture or video of said replay) appears to be a bug. The replay screen starts out clear if I go into it just after tipoff, no scoreboard shown in the corner. However, when any of the automatic replays are shown, the scoreboard is stuck on the screen when the manual replay is accessed. I was able to successfully reproduce this with the G Moment, Sprite Slam Cam, and Standard team logo screen wipe replays. Non-replay screen wipes (such as skipping to a free throw), do not appear to trigger this bug.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches Discussion Thread
probably repeats:
#1.
same few plays being run by cpu.
playing against raptoros, same play for bargnani over and over where he curls around from ft line to the corner and shoots baseline jumper. also he will shoot everytime with same timing , so i am able to now time the block almost everytime and block his jumpshot.
also my cpu teammates never learn and continuously get picked off the same way every time this play is run.
#2.
hot spots info wrong again since it was added. please just remove this feature if it is not going to include all the shots. useless feature otherwise.
example : durant 13-23 in the game. hotspots shows total 9-15 on the floor diagram from various spots.
underneath diagram, it does correctly state that he went 13-23.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches Discussion Thread
In My Player, playing in a summer league at the moment and my player his missing half his shoes. They just disappear and you can see the top of his shoes and then the floor and then the bottom/shadow of his shoes.
Might be small to some but it's irritating me.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches Discussion Thread
I learned my lessons from years past... Don't buy a 2k game until the first patch has been released. I'm sure the game is still good but its too much of a hassle and needless frustration if you're into the whole realism thing.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches Discussion Thread
I have been an NBA 2K owner for many years now, so I am not one of these newbies who picked up a true NBA simulation game and expected an arcade-like atmosphere. I have long supported this franchise, but this year's edition has way too many issues that should be addressed.
1) Passing is way off. Consistently passes to wrong man when all team members are on the same side of the court. I guess congestion causes these passes to not be direct
2) Long white socks are very glitchy and appear to be a flashing black and white.
3) There are many issues with the backcourt call. When pressing a player who has already crossed the mid-court line back over the line, there is not a backcourt call issued.
4) My Air Jordans is a great addition to this year's theme! BUT, what is the fun of equipping your newly earned Air Jordans if they do not resemble their real-life counterparts!? The color-coding system for Air Jordans should be the same as the Air Jordans in real-life. For example: changing the primary color on the Air Jordan XIX (19's) should NOT change the color of the entire shoe's uppers! There should be some distinction between the shoes uppers and the meshed front of the shoes. In general, more attention should be placed on the lack of detail on the Air Jordans!
5) The detail on all the equippable shoes should be enhanced!
Please address these things in the next (hopefully soon) title update/ patch!Comment
