Just spent the last couple of hours practicing moves and scrimmaging with my future Association team, the T-Wolves. With the exception of playing College Hoops 2K8, that scrimmage was the most fun I've ever had playing a basketball game ever.
Immediately, four things stand out for me. Player control, C.P.U. A.I., the vastly improved execution while running plays, and the removal of the unrealistic recovery and challenges on shots. Those fours things alone make this far and away the best basketball game ever. That's not even considering the zillion other superb aspects of this game. I could of course, write a novel.
This games introduction is only equaled by the intros of iconic franchises like Halo, Metal Gear, or Final Fantasy. No other sports game can compare.
Getting my *** beat every night in the Association as the T-Wolves is going to be ridiculously fun. We may lose, but Johnny Flynn is going to be making a lot of players look hella silly. He's got some filthy handles, and a sick siggy gather.Jordan Mychal Lemos

I'm in hoops heaven right now.
Just played the Heat VS the Magic and ended up losing 100-90. Had a good run at the end but then Bosh and LBJ came back into the game and back it went to double digits. Nelson was MIA and it hurt me a lot. The bottom line is the game feels like real basketball and has everything you expect to see.Comment

One thing I've noticed is that it's way too easy to get steals. While doing a Jordan Challenge (the one against the Cavs), I had 41 team steals. Including Paxon getting 20 steals by himself. I was playing with very high game speed (to make up for the stupid 8 minute quarters), but still. Way too easy.Comment

Presentation is remarkable.
Has to be probably one of the best I've seen in a sports game. NFL2k5 has a slight edge but that game is very old. 2k has outdone themselves once again with this game.
I play coach mode only in 12 min quarters with Simulation, and it's pretty amazing as far as stats and realism.
= Two thumbs up for 2k! Absolutely great presentation and great game

this is a true hoops game its fun and challenging, i am not a franchise guy but i might have to dive in this year...the AI so far is great and i can finally play defense man to man because the game does not slide as much......
the only problem i have with this game is jordan on the cover..... yeah i said it..........

I like this game but I am getting destroyed at times on pro sim....its like i can do ok for the first 6 or 7 min and then i cant hit a basket to save my life after that.....gonna keep practicing. The visual and audio are great, and normally I play on pro and can be competitive but I am getting spanked on 2K11 lol. I love the fact that the defense is much better in this game but man I am really struggling with my shots. Any advice would be appreciated!Comment

bump your shooting sliders and def awareness to help yourself out, until you learn how to handle the cpu,

Love the game, it's all it was hyped up to be. I just wish I could make a jumper! Timing or Real %, I can't throw the damn thing in the ocean with the Knicks.

I understand what your going through. PLEASE keep playing and getting your butt whopped. It really is frustrating, but eventally you will get it. I seriously lost my 18 out of my first 20 games by blowouts. And at least 15 of those games I was up by double digits in the first quarter. Now I can hang with the cpu the whole game.
Take this tip though, lower the onball defense to about 50-60 and youll see a little difference.Comment

BLASPHEMY!
Picked up my first NBA game since 2k8...yeah I'm not the biggest NBA fan, but after all the hype of this game and being a casual b-ball fan myself, I picked this bad boy up.
GOOD GOD THIS GAME IS AMAZING. Well from what I've played, anyway, it's very fun and challenging. Sure, I've been getting my butt kicked, but the fact that it's still fun when you're down 30 points is what makes a game truly awesome.
And all the Jordan stuff...reliving my childhood, man. He was the reason I watched the NBA. Good to see this stuff make it into the game!
