For me it's now collecting dust waiting for the patch.

Get real man. Seriously this game really doesn't even need a patch, it's that good already. But in saying that I won't complain when it gets one, lol.

Yes...some of the spins dunk and hop steps are a little much. But they are also welcomed with open arms. Just need tweaking. Not enough to say this game need to sit out and need a patch....lol You got to be kidding me.
Some people are never satisfied and spend their time looking for flaws instead of having fun. Me? I am the exact opposite. I look for fun factor with a game. If it has that, then I can overlook some flaws.

Like you said jeebs, I'd be more than OK to play this current version of the game for a long time.

As some mentioned in other threads. Things were going great. then something changed. I guess I need to retrace what roster I download or is loading and what slider settings I have because for 15 games or so, I hadnt seen a need to change my foul sliders, then all of a sudden I get these next few games where every drive to the basket is a shooting foul with 80% of them going in on the and1.

The minute I change one thing, the game goes into panic mode. 2k10 was the same way and a big reason I quit on it before thanksgiving.

Time to spend a few hours and maybe just start fresh. I dont understand whats happening

Same here...I've only done one MJ challenge...played a bunch of online league matches. Last night I played my first street ball games. Pretty amazing.

Things totally poo'd the bed for me over the weekend. Got to the point where I couldn't even get the game to boot last night, it kept freezing when trying to load the initial files (roster, settings, etc) so I had to delete everything and start over. So something somewhere got corrupted. Played a few games last night with the 10/13 update and things seemed normal.

Yao shut us down inside and the took it to my lakers with hustle points. Now I'm playing the Suns who signed AI. Needless to say they have my team scrambling to get back on D. I've been able to pound them down low so far. The amazing thing is how they've adapted their style to bring AI into the fold. They are pushing it up the court and getting it to him on the wing where he is swooping in and finishing AI style. It's amazing to see.
I agree. Not being a basketball fan that much, I love this game because of the depth and gameplay and presentation. This is how every sports game should be. Have to go as far as to give it a 10.

I have no intentions to ever play dirk during the regular season again, i just simulate the game, its a waste of time watching him shoot fadeaway after fadeaway nothing but net....ugh

ive started my season over a few times trying to avoid the glitches, but 2nd game of the season vs the mavs is no longer worth the hour...(lakers are up next)

One weird thing I'm starting to notice and I need to pay closer attention from here on out but it seems like defensive adjustments for the individual players is useless - well actually harmful.

Last game it really stood out, Knicks vs Warriors. Monta was going off on me in the first quarter but no one else was doing much and Chandler was sagging way off him on the catch. I had a 12 point lead at the end of the 1st but wanted to make someone besides Monta beat me. I go in and make some adjustments, namely to put some ball-pressure on Ellis. From there my defense just falls apart though Ellis stops scoring for the most part. GS outscores me 44-22 in the 2nd quarter. I wasn't giving up a ton of open looks nor did I make any stupid/crazy adjustments. Start of the 3rd and they're still killing me so I go back in and move everything back to Auto for my defensive assignments. Things go back to normal as they were in the first quarter and I end up coming back from a double-digit deficit to win by 14.

                          So a quick recap:
                          • First and fourth quarter with all defensive assignments on Auto I outscored the CPU by roughly 36 points.
                          • 2nd quarter and part of 3rd I get outscored by roughly 30 points when I made a few changes.

Certainly could be a coincidence, we'll have to see. Seems extremely drastic for it to be one though.

This is a great game. It's not perfect, but I'm enjoying this game so much. I completed all the Jordan Challenges over the weekend and my son got me into the Jordan MY player.

I put that cat on the Bulls of course. And I'm having a blast. Played 5 games and 3 has been really competitive. Lost a game to the blazers last night by 4 and B-Roy hit a fadaway jumper right in my face to put the Blazers up by 2. LOL Then I came down like a noob and missed a easy mid range shot.

Sometimes you got to take a loss like a man and move on. I think some of you are over analyzing the game. Just figure out what settings work for you and have fun playing the game.

I think its a physch. thing....you get to reading all the stuff on here....get to believing everything is falling apart....you start fixing problems that arent there....quitting games mid game because things arent going exactly how you want, thinking hidden changes are being made....lol...

Im LOVING the game man, LOVING it....Large in part to just allowing myself to get the game to where I want it and having fun,,

How did you beat the Jordan Challenge so quick? I have tried a couple of them and haven't completed one yet.

Ehh: saw your post about defensive adjustments. I have made several recently and haven't noticed a drastic change in how the CPU plays/scores. I was in the Jordan Challenge today, trying to outscore 'Nique and beat the Hawks. I had Pippen guard 'Nique and had him play aggressive, on-ball and off-ball. 'Nique still made shots and finished with 23, but Pippen's defense definitely had an effect on how the Hawks ran their offense. They ran a lot of stuff through Willis and Koncack came off the bench and was on fire. I wound up losing by 3 in what was a back-and-forth game. Biggest run Atlanta had was 10-0, but I had one of those myself, so nothing alarming there.
