Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
My second season Wiz team are going strong. To re-cap..in first year I completely tanked it and managed to shift the majority on my team, in the process picking up cavs and clips 1st round draft picks.
Team 2nd season is:
Wall / Delonte West
Harrison Barnes / Gee
Perry Jones / Rashard Lewis
Sullinger / Mcgee
Blatche / Mcgee
My three rookies are all starting and Barnes is turning into a monster - sitting 3rd in conference with record of 29 - 17 and second in division behind Miami.
Barnes and Wall are both averaging over 20ppg and I'm getting solid numbers off the bench from Lewis, West and Gee. Looking for an experienced big man in the offseason to blend with my young team.
Next up....Heat in Miami!Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Okay, so I started an association with the Nets. I figured they are a rebuilding team and the whole try to get Carmelo Anthony situation is very interesting. So when i started the season I didn't want to make separate the team right away so I played the first ten games.
The first ten games didnt go quite how I wanted. I actually lost all ten games and went 0 - 10. I had to do something so I went and did some trades. Here are the following trades:
1.
Nets Land: Carmelo Anthony (Den), Rodney Stuckey (Det), Rip Hamilton (Det)
Denver Land: Derrick Favors (NJ), Troy Murphy (NJ), Two First Round Picks.
Detroit Land: Devin Harris (NJ), Kris Humphries (NJ)
2.
Nets Land: Brandon Wright (GS), Martel Webster (MIN)
Warriors Land: Travis Outlaw (NJ), Corey Brewer (MIN)
Wolves Land: Anthony Morrow (NJ), Vladmir Rodmanovic (MIN), Charlie Bell (GS)
3.
Nets Land: Jason Thompson (SAC)
Kings Land: Al Harrington (Den)
Denver Land: Donte Green (SAC), Francisco Garcia (SAC)
The reasonings:
Trade one would get the Nets who they wanted, Carmelo Anthony. And it would also bring in a supporting cast of a young and strong point and an experienced sg. Denver would be receiving a young star in Favors and an expiring contract in Troy along with two picks. Detroit would be landing an All-Star point along with shipping around a disgruntled Rip and gaining a expiring contract in Humphries.
Trade two would bring in a back up pf to play behind Jason Thompson. As well as a SF that once proved himself worthy when he played in Portland. The Warriors would be landing a long and versatile SF in Troy that bring in scoring. As well as Brewer who is another long SG that can play behind Curry. The Wolves would bring in a sharp shooter in Morrow and expiring contracts.
Trade three would bring in a starting young PF for the nets. The Kings would bring in a PF that can spread the floor for the centers. And Denver is going to be bringing in a young talent in Greene and a shooter in Garcia.
Along with these trades the Nuggets traded away Kenyon Martin to the Raptors for Peja's expiring contract and also traded away JR to the bulls for Brewer to add depth to their SG position.
The Nets Lineup
PG - Stuckey/ Farmar / Uzoh
SG - Rip/ Sasha / Ross
SF - Carmelo / Martell/ Graham / Damion
PF - Thompson / Wright
C - Lopez/ Petro
The Nuggets Lineup
PG - Billups / Lawson / Carter
SG - Brewer / Garcia
SF - Greene / Peja / Balkman
PF - Favors / Murphy / Ely / Williams
C - Nene / Anderson
Tell me what you think about these trades. I havent played a game yet, but Im pretty excited to play. Im thinking about more trades, but not to sure. Any suggestions. And if they are realistic.---------------------

I have a Nets association as well, but I have made no trades yet (I'm waiting till after trade deadline in real life). I'm 3-2 right now.Comment

SG - Iggy
SF - LeBron
PF - Amare
C - Camby

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
PG Westbrook
SG Harden
SF Durant
PF Josh Smith
C Ibaka
Green,Maynor & JJ Redick off the bench.
1-0 so far.
Durant had 44 against the 96-97 Bulls. Jordan had 45.
I took the current day Bulls and moved most of them to Toronto. Kept Barbosa and DRoz. Everyone else from the Raptors as a FA.
Signed Bargs and traded him and Nenad to the Hawks for Smith & Thomas. (They willingly did it,Bargs for Smith straight was an option too.)
Traded Sef and next years 2nd pick to the Magic for JJ. Oddly enough all this somehow made me 1st overall.
Dumped Collison on the T'Wolves and got to swap picks.
Replaced the Hornets with the Sonics. Traded the team so it's the Hornets just with Sonics stuff. I forgot to get rid of Hawkins though. Put the Sonics in the Pacific, moved the Clippers to the Central and moved the Pacers to the South.
Ed Davis signed with the Kings.
Traded Melo to NY. Just did a 3 team trade and swapped picks so I'd be trading something. Had to force that one.Comment

I assume you had the 1st pick to get LeBron, then unless you didn't do serpentine, you must've had the 60th pick and there is no way Amar'e would fall that low. I don't think he would even fall to 30.Chicago Bulls

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Beat NJ in the opener 102-94. LeBron had 26 and 9 assists, Amar'e also had 26 to go with 13 rebounds, and Iguodola chipped in with 17. It's going to be a fun season, but I don't know what I'ma do after it, because it might get a little boring (if I just beat up on everyone).Last edited by timbeau0805; 12-27-2010, 08:44 PM.Comment
