Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm 27-7 at the moment with the Bulls.

Before the season strated I signed Iverson as a starter with a team option for one more year. I also traded Deng and my 2 first round draft picks for G. Wallace and '11 1st from the Bobcats.

I've just recently signed Dampier as a deep role player and he's actually quite good.

    Looking good so far.
...we held several meetings to discuss the future of the franchise. After going through those meetings, it became very clear that the vision I had for the game was different from where the leadership wanted to take it. I parted ways with EA shortly after...

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Finally picked up this game last night and started my Association with the Sixers with 10 min quarters. I'm 4-3 right now and both games I played I lost. I'm absolutely LOVING playing with Evan Turner. He has been on fire in both games I have played.

      Heat 94, Sixers 83
The Heat are just ridiculous to play against in this game. They actually started out cold but caught fire from the 2nd quarter on and I never saw a lead after the 2nd quarter. I would get within four points and then they would just pull away. I'm using Holiday - Turner - Iggy - Young - Brand as my starters and Bosh DESTROYED Young. I tried to switch up matchups putting Brand on Bosh but it didn't do much good. Bosh from the baseline is lights out!

      LBJ - 27pts 7 asts 5 rebs
      Bosh - 25 pts 11 rebs
      Wade - 16 pts 8 asts

      Evan Turner - 23 pts 7 rebs 6 asts
Iggy (no where to be found) - 11 pts 5 reb 5 asts (below 30% shooting)
      Thad Young - 19 pts, 8 reb

      Wizards 103, Sixers 99
This was an awesome competitve game! Wall vs. Turner! Two of the young up and coming rookies in the NBA and neither one of them disappointed! Although it was Arenas who led the Wizards to the win, Wall and Blatche still contributed. Iguodala finally got back on track along with Turner and Young but it wasn't enough!

      Arenas - 29 pts 5 asts
      Wall - 19 pts 8 asts 7 reb
      Blatche - 15 pts 11 reb

      Iggy - 28 pts 4 reb 4 asts
      Turner - 26 pts 5 asts 2 reb
      Young - 23 pts 20 REBS!!!

Next up is the Okla City Thunder!

That's just a bit too much for me.

I'm thinking of maybe playing about 10 games a month, but simming the rest of the games in that month. How do you all do it?
for myself I play 58 game seasons @10 min quarters. works out nice for me

I am now 3-3 but am only averaging 80 points a game. Need some better sliders.

This game can be ridiculous sometimes... how can you go from cake walk victories against the Jazz and the Cavaliers to a game against one of the worst teams in the league like the Pistons and can't do anything? 0/12 from the 3pt line... 34/87 Field Goals bringing a 39% FG%... 11 turnovers...

            Game 4 Cavaliers 88 - 105 Bobcats
            Game 5
            Bobcats 83 - 103 Pistons

I was doing good until Detroit, i'm on a 3-2 so nothing is lost for now. Next - NJ Nets

I'm contemplating changing to the Pacers. I've played with them over the past 2 days, and I'm really enjoying them. I was playing with the Wizards, but other than liking Arenas, Blatche, and Wall, I don't have a connection to the Washington area... so I'm thinking about going geographic location to where I live right now,and going with Indiana. My wife is from Indy, and we're always up here. It's a challenge. I've used Granger and Hibbert pretty well. Hibbert is a beast, blocking shots left and right.

Thinking about signing on James Flight White just for some "fun".

I'm 1-1 with the Sacramento Kings. I'm playing 12 min quarters so I can compare stats with the League Leaders, Pro / Default with some tweaks. I increased all shooting sliders to 54 for Human, and increased ALL the off-ball foul sliders to 100.

I'm having excellent games so far. I beat Dallas in a thriller, when Dirk missed a three to tie it with :10 to go, and I got beat by Houston by 8. I was getting crushed by the Rockets before making a great comeback in the 3rd, but fell short in the end. Yao Ming absolutely crushed me with 23 pts and 24 rebs. I had NO answer for him.

I think I'm gonna try and make a run at picking up Jason Terry (for Francisco Garcia and draft picks) - I think he will provide athleticism and scoring that the Kings lack.

I REALLY dig the atmosphere and playing with the surround sound up really loud. Great game.

After no production from Wilson Chandler I benched him so now here is my lineup

                  Felton
                  Gallirani
                  Randolph
                  Stoudamite
                  Mozgov

                  6th Man Douglas

                  I am now 3-4

I played a GM role in a sim association with the Pacers, and when handled right, I won the NBA championship in 3 years. Their cap situation is very manageable and you can make a lot of good moves. Granger is a god in this game.

That happens in pretty much every sport. Either you hit a cold streak at the wrong time or played down to the level of your competition. Definitely annoying when it happens.

If you're planning on simming the first year, I'd suggest the Celtics. They're arguably a strong contender this year but that team needs rebuilding after this season. Rondo is a great PG to build around and Perkins is a solid young center to have if you can re-sign him. You'll have a challenge working around the 106 million dollars tied up by the Big 3. Plus, Rondo's contract is 44 million over 5 years so it won't be easy.

Ahhhh a fellow man rolling with the Kings like myself! I'd look to grab J.R. Smith if you can, he's been an excellent sixth man for me and picks up the offense when Tyreke takes a break

I am now off to a 7-2 start with the Grizzlies. I have had a cupcake schedule so far. Got to play teams like the Wizards, Warriors, and Lakers with Kobe out. Lost to the Hawks in the 1st game and suns in a simulated game.

My plan is to keep the team relatively the same for this year and then mix it up a little this year. I have been using OJ Mayo as the backup point to Conley and I think I will slide him to the full time starter at the pg next year and not resign Conley. I will probably start Xavier Henry next year in Mayos place at sg next year because I really like using him.

I am going to try to resign Zach Randolph for one more year with maybe a team option for another year, but if he asks for too much, I am not going to overpay him. My plan is to draft the best power foward available with my first pick. I will develop him so that he can start in a year or two when Z Bo is gone, or maybe even start right away if I can't resign Randolph. I think if I don't resign him, then I will try to trade up into the lottery (if I'm not already there) and make sure I get a guy that can start right away.

My projected lineup for next year is this:

Mayo/2nd round pick or free agent
Henry(or a fa like Corey Brewer) /Tony Allen
                              Gay/free agent
Randolph/1st round pick or 1st round pick/free agent
                              Gasol/Thabeet
