Yea. This great news for Mac and PC owners. By the way I think this is the first NBA 2k game that's available for Mac.

I'm signing up right now, I can't wait till tomorrow! Plus they removed the PC version from Gamestop.ca website so I don't know if they'll even have the game in stock ....

Yep. This is by far the best way to go if you are a PC/Mac owner for sure.

It is. The service itself dropped its monthly fee today, but you'll still have to purchase the game if you want to play it longer than 30 minutes at a time.

That is of course, assuming they do the same thing demo-wise as they did with 2k10.

You should also be able to demo the full game (for free) for 30 minutes, if you want to try it out before you buy. Awesome!

Hey just heard that if you get the game from the OnLive website, you will not be able to download mods into the game... Which is a real deal breaker for me and the reason why i prefer playing the PC version... Just a heads up

Isn't Onlive a streaming service? You don't actually have a hard copy of 2k11 on your computer do you? Without the hard copy you can't add mods, etc...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Yeah, that's a safe assumption that using mods with Onlive is impossible. Everything is streamed to your PC, so it's not like you could modify any game files. Nothing related to the game resides on your system.

I'm assuming the answer is yes, but if your internet is bad or completely down you'd be out of luck when it comes to playing the game? I've never paid any attention to OnLive so I don't really know much about it.

Make sure you have an insanely fast connection before messing with Onlive.

                              Reasons NOT TO USE ONLIVE!

                              1. Its a Streaming video service. The quality won't be as good on it as if you install the game on your computer.

                              2. If your internet connection goes down you won't be able to play since you won't be able to access Onlive.

                              3. You can't use mod's with onlive.

                              4. you can't customize your settings with Onlive, so you can't max your resolution.

If you are going to get the onlive version just get the console version.
