    Re: The Little Things Thread

I had a nice block on Vince Carter, as I tried to go for the ball, Boozer does the same, accidently kicks the ball, and it ends up in the other end of the court, still their ball.

Players missing rebounds is a nice touch as well

ive had two guys go up for a rebound only to have it bounce of their hands..

          Re: The Little Things Thread

I wish I could get 2K videos to work here. Anyways, I was making a play for the ball in my player and went out of bounds. Anyways, the play moves up court and my icon is still down on the other side of the screen. I'm really confused. Is he hurt? What happened? So, when my guy saunters back up court, I pause it and look at the replay.

Anyways, I go into replay to see what happened. Apperently, after my guy gets up, he posed for the camera.

Holy Mackeral!! I had a defender tie me up last night!! He reached in and grabbed the ball and we got a whistle: JUMP BALL!!

I'd never seen that in a video game before! This game is amazing!

                Re: The Little Things Thread

I was playing as the Celtics and KG blocked a shot and came down awkwardly on his ankle. As the other 9 players on the floor advanced down the court after Rondo picked up the loose ball, I was getting ready to run a set for KG but he was nowhere to be found on the court. I backed up to see if he was on his way down the floor, and he was limping very slowly up the court because of his twisted ankle. Great touch.

Same game, I blocked another shot with KG that ended up sailing out of bounds and KG absolutely flipped out in vintage fashion. Screamed while beating his chest and hopping around. It was intense.

In another game playing as the Kings, I hit a 3 at the buzzer with Beno Udrih and Harlan's reaction along with the crowd was awesome. Much improved from previous 2k's, where big moments like that are celebrated in very disappointing and apathetic fashion.

The moving screens are awesome, as well.

Just completed The Arrival and ended up blowing out the Celts. The announcers start looking ahead since the game is in hand, and begin to discuss the up and comers in the EAST. They mention the rebuilt Knicks and also, that we should be watching out for the Pacers and their hot shooting Gaurd/Forward combo.

                  So quality!

The announcers were commenting on Greg Oden's injury history when he sprained his ankle

Kevin Durant had a sick, sick dunk in my My Player career. I know it's not a little thing, but this was the best dunk animation I've ever seen. He got a clean lane, dunked over someone, landed on his butt, made a mean face, his teammates helped him up and the announcers and crowd went BANANAS. Best dunk i've ever seen in 2k.

CPU had a sick block on one of my boys. He cocked back all the way and knocked it all the way to the other basket. It was so realistic. My teammate, I think it was Jeff Green, was caught in a contact animation and double pumping, and the enemy came over, stared it down and just launched it. The crowd and announcers reacted appropriately.

Being shown in the locker room in your warmups before the game is just MONEY.

The injury aspect of the game is amazing.

Bogut is playing on a bad knee. Injured but can play, 2-4 weeks. It really behooves you to lower the minutes of injured players. Bogut is now the last guy down the court, his mobility is decimated and he can't jump for blocks and rebounds like he did prior to the injury. Basically he wasn't really effective.

After the injury healed he was back to normal.

This is by far the best implementation of injuries in a sports game I've ever seen.

Word. I was afraid those monster blocks were going to be rampant. They're perfect though. I had my first manual monster rejection last night and it felt so clean and pure (Emeka Okafor on a double-pumping Jason Kidd). Awesome.

I'm playing an association game vs. Portland right now, and Rudy Fernandez is playing with an inflamed elbow. As he checked into the game for the first time, the camera zoned in on him as he walked onto the court and he was holding his elbow and grimacing a little.

                          Awesome.

Yeah same happened when I was playing against Marc GAsol. He was injured and they put him in the game anyway. He was limping and couldn't run at all.

Tip ball rebounds are awesome. And they can get tipped in, not a canned animation.
