Mario Chalmers is the piece that could be traded, but his salary is something in the $800-$900K range which greatly limits available trade options.

Do I stand pat on the Heat, and have them deal with the loss?
Do I make a deal for Chalmers, likely taking a lesser player in exchange?

I think the trade is somewhat realistic b/c they could use an upgrade at the point when Evans isn't playing it and chalmers does that. And with Landry, Cousins and Dalembert, i feel thompson will become the odd man out. What do you guys think? Oh yea with the new update MIA now has black socks in away games.

          My starters are:
          PG Arroyo
          SG Wade
          SF LeBron
          PF Bosh
          C Thompson

I know i give up alot of defense with the trade. But with the option to develop players in the coaching area. Every month i will spend 3 hours trying to improve both Thompson and Bosh Post D and Blocking.

Honestly I tried with the lakers and Its really easy, so i kind of wanted more of a challenge. Plus I feel better by trading some of the players that are loyal to the team, like Haslem.

I would do some trading. like in my Associ. I put chalmers and Joel in my trade finder and was offered a trade for J. Thompson. I think it would help. Right I'm debating trading Haslem, he's just too short for my liking. Plus right now my only PG is House and Willie Warren. I'm being offered Serge Ibaka which is intriging. But i would love to bring in another shooter if possible. Oh my update starting roster is:
              PG Wade
              SG Miller
              SF Bron
              PF Bosh
              C Thompson
              6 Haslem
              7 House
              8 Jones
              9 Thabeet
              10 B***sh
              11 Pittman
              12 Warren

Right Now I actually use Thabeet more. Even though he rated like a 60, to me he pretty much a 7'3 Joel Anthony, blocking and rebounding. When i bring him in I slide Thompson down to the 4.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

I'm the Celtics in year 1....is this a good trade for all sides (for me, as well)?

Celtics get: Hornets' 2011 1st, Hawks' 2011 1st, Peja Stojakovic, and Josh Smith

Hornets get: Kevin Garnett, Jamal Crawford

Hawks get: Rajon Rondo, DJ Mbenga, David West

People will say "oh, you gave away Rondo and Garnett for cheap!". My counter to that is that KG is not even close to the same player he was 3 years ago. Plus, Josh Smith is a great replacement and is the most athletic PF in the NBA. And if some of you remember, in the summer it was said that Rondo had a horrible work ethic. I absolutely HATE players without work ethic. Plus, I get 2 late 1st rounders, I already have a replacement in Nate Robinson, and I get a huge expiring with Peja.

I think this is a realistic deal, because it greatly benefits each team.

                So, good or bad deal?

Love the addition of Smith and shipping KG but of course i'd hate to trade Rondo. Extra 1st rounders are always nice and Peja's contract is attractive. If you're more focused on outside shooting and don't utilize Rondo's full passing potential then it's fine for you. I personally need a PG who can score from beyond the arc. I'd give this a 3 out of 5.

Thanks for the feedback. KG isn't so bad, but I definitely had to think twice about trading Rondo. However, I have an athletic replacement, and this year's draft is stacked with Rondo-like PGs (I'll use the 1sts to move up most likely). Usually I like all my players (even big men) to have outside shooting, but lately I've been utilizing the pick-and-pop offense with much more success. I know this needs a passing PG like Rondo, but Robinson certainly isn't the worst passing PG out there. But thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback but I'm not sure about it now. If I pulled it off, I would have no back up SG, unless I moved Brown or Gordan Hayward there and neither one of them are SGs. And I would have to move either Serge Ibaka or Boris Diaw to the back up C spot. Serge is too skinny and Diaw is too short. So, I would be getting the short end of the deal there. Still looking for a trade to get rid of Thabo, tho.

And I'm thinking about trading Perkins once he heals up. Even though he's injured, there's a bug that makes him angry that he's not playing. SO I'm going to try and get Roy Hibbert and probably sign-and-trade for Thabeet. That will give me some KILLER big men in the paint. And they won't be that hard to acquire either. I'm going to make an association rule for me that I can only make 2 medium-big trades per year.

I've been playing on Superstar b/c i heard that HOF cheats. But also i play on player lock as well. Let me first states my fav. players
                            1. Kobe
                            2. LeBron
                            3 Tied(Stoudimire. Josh and J.R. Smith)
But when i play the heat and player lock on James w/ the Lakers on Kobe. Let me say player locking on the Heat is night and day. When i player lock on the heat i hate Bosh but when i don't player lock i love the way i can control the heat. If you look at his attributes he is a monster in the post. But he plays too much face up basketball. Playing with player lock off is great but challenging.

Not a bug per say , the guy is use to starting so he's pretty pissed that you replace him and is starting someone else. He did win a ring for you. Thinking of the celtics you guys are pretty stacked. Use whomever you want to find replacements. Look to acquire W. Johnson, T-Will and/or J.R. Smith to replace your 2/3.

Can someone tell me what they think about this trade in my Magic association that was offered to me (not trade finder, from the calendar)

                                Magic Get:

SG Steven Jackson 84 - Age- 32 3 yrs about 28 million left on his contract
C Desanga Diop 58 - Age 28 2 years 13.5 million left with a player option for 7.4 million for the third year

                                Bobcats Get

SG Vince Carter 81 - Age 34 17.3 million this year, with an 18 million dollar TEAM option next year.

Thoughts? It is right before the trade deadline and I am 3rd in the East at 37-19 (3.5 back) and Charlotte is 7th in the East at 28-25 (11.0 games back) If it matters, they are who signed Allen Iverson. Thanks for any input.
