I don't know your playing style but I'd try getting K.Love and sliding Amar'e to the C. Love is just a great player to use, a great rebounder and can hit mid-range jumpers as well as three pointers.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

In season 2 of my Celtics franchise. Traded Paul Pierce, and 2 1st rounders (this year's Grizzlies', and next year's Celtics') for Gerald Wallace and a filler player for salary.

      What do you guys think?

I like it, because I'm a HUGE fan of defense, and Wallace is the best defensive SF in the NBA. Yes, he's 29, but that's still 5 years younger than Pierce. Plus, he's a better overall player, has a lower salary, and even though I give up picks, the picks won't be that good, as my team is stacked now.

Good or bad trade for a defense-first team?

I don't like it. McGee is a darn good player and fits in well with John Wall.

I don't like it because the Blazers would be getting ripped off probably, unless they decide that they aren't going to re-sign him this off-season, which is highly unlikely in my opinion. Injured or not, it's too big of a risk to not re-sign him as he could be one of the best centers of the league if he can stay healthy.

So I'm thinking of starting a NO association and I'm gonna take the team apart and build my own team. I want to get Rondo to run my team. So I'm willing to send Paul to Boston. What do you think would be a fair value in return? I was thinking Rondo and Perkins. Any thoughts?

Even though Rondo's rating is lower, he's worth more. He's 3 years younger.

Which trade would help the Hornets more? This is with the roster they have right now.

                      Hornets- Iguodala
                      76ers- Thornton, Peja, 1st 2012

                      or

                      Hornets- Jason Thompson, Rip Hamilton
                      Pistons- Peja
                      Kings- Marcus Thornton

I'd do the trade with the 76ers. Iggy would be a lot better with Paul, than Rip would be.

I would say keep paul because you get more from him. you get the offense, shoot the three, midrange and good freethrow shooter plus you know he plays good d. you just get defense and passing with rondo and plus if he cant get to the paint than he cant do nothing eles

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

Just started up a Suns Association. Got my butt kicked in the first game primarily because I have no defense at the 4. Lamarcus Aldridge was housing my downlow. Robin Lopez had a good game though (19 pts, 21 rebounds, 4 blocks)

Immediately following the game (in which I lost by 16), I traded away:

                              - Grant Hill (and his expiring contract)
                              - Josh Childress (I hate his shot release anyway)
                              - '12 1st round pick

To the Bobcats, and got this in return:

                              - Tyrus Thomas (Gives me defense at the 4, athleticism, 90 rated shot blocker)
                              - Gerald Henderson (Brings solid dunking and athleticism to my second unit and fast break offense)

Now my starting lineup consists of:

                              PG - Nash
                              SG - Richardson
                              SF - Turkoglu
                              PF - Thomas
                              C - Lopez

                              Bench

                              PG - Dragic
                              SG - Henderson
                              SF - Dudley
                              PF - Warrick
                              C - Frye

The trade didn't make my team better overall, but at least now we're more balanced on both sides of the ball. That's probably the only trade I'll make all season because I want to start building up chemistry for the future with Dragic being the heir apparent to Steve Nash when his contract is up in 2 years.
According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.

I'm running with the Celtics! Over on the Boston Celtics board at realgm.com there has been good discussion on whether or not to trade baby and perk for cousins and thompson from the kinds, or our rooks for cousins to thompson!

Just wondering if you guys think that would be fair? And more to the point, how the hell do you get players with massive value without overriding? Or can't it be done?

                                Cheers all
