Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Phoenix Suns Get
Brandon Bass (PF)
2011 2nd Round Pick
2012 1st Round Pick
Orlando Magic Get
Grant Hill (SF)
Channing Frye (PF/C)
2012 2nd round pick
I'm the Magic, and since losing Gortat, My middle cannot hold up with just 59 ovr Danny Orton. Plus Frye can shoot.
Grant Is a Solid Defender and is a good shooter. could use him in lots of situations.
Plus I want to re-unite my Favorite player and my favorite team.
Who gets better deal?Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
While I can't really get an official three way trade to work, this is essentially what I'm proposing. I'm hoping I can hear some feedback on whether or not this is fair:
Oct 2010 (before first game)
Nets (me) get:
SG Redd 73
PG Boykins 65
Bucks get:
PF Murphy 72
SG Vujacic 66
2nd round pick in 2011
2nd round pick in 2012
Personally, I feel like I'm overpaying, but I need a guy who can put up 20 a night consistently, and who can take the pressure off of the young kids the Nets have at least this first year. Redd will be a nice player to kick out to as well, as I have no one at SG. I like the role players I have at SG, but I needed something consistent to not have to rely on 18-22 year old's who really aren't ready to be feature players IMO.
I was dealing a bit with the Pistons too about one of their SG's, but I didn't want to commit to Gordon for 3 years, RIP is going to decline over his 2 year deal, and I liked McGrady actually, but having no bird years...I'd at least like a shot at keeping him if he plays well.
Regardless, I'm happy with Redd if it's a fair deal.
I would be trading Boykins for someone who can give me some depth at C and is rated close to the same overall.

2010
Nets (me) get:
SG Gordon 76
SG White 66
PF/C Wilcox 62
Pistons get:
PF Murphy 72
SG Vujacic 66
I get to keep my picks, and I get a "better," younger Gordon with more potential than Redd. I'm not crazy about the 3 year deal Gordon has, but that brought his pricetag down a bit, and he's a player who should play well through his contract. I really, honestly think Gordon will be a good fit for my Nets here.
White is a nice prospect player who should get some minutes, but not a ton in 2010 honestly.
Wilcox will give me some depth at C, albeit it very below average as he doesn't bring much to the table, but was needed to complete the deal from a numbers standpoint.
For the Pistons, it seems that getting rid of a multi-year contract is a huge plus, not to mention they still have RIP and McGrady. Murphy could probably start for the Pistons over Maxiell and CV31. The Pistons also get two expiring contracts with Murphy's being $12M+.
I had no use for Murphy and was happy to get rid of Vujacic as well. Gordon should be a nice vet to add into the mix.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
^i feel the first trade involving the bucks was more realistic than the pistons deal. but as far as trading goes, you definetely got the better end of the deal from the pistons and hopefully the talent you got will come alive for you on the court.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Just started up with the post-trade deadline rosters with the Knicks. Any ideas how I can improve my back court? I picked up Troy Murphy as a Free Agent but Turiaf is a waste. Who could I trade for a decent center? I want to keep Amare' at the 4.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Ok so I just restarted my Knicks franchise because of all the recent trades that my Knicks made in real life. Anyway in the game I am not a big fan of Billups and his big contract, so I am looking to trade him, and I got an offer from the Washington Wizards.
Knicks(Me) Get:
Nick Young
Kirk Kinrich
Wizards Get:
Billups
Bill Walker
I am most likely going to do this because since I currently live in D.C. but grew up in new York and loving the Knicks since I can remember. I get to see Nick Young a lot and he has great upside you just have to be patient, and with Kirk he can help develop both Young and Fields. He is also a pass first kind of person which give Melo and Stat more shots per game. So let me know what you guys think, should I do it or not.Comment
