Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
but as for the reason im having more success on O....
before this trade ive never used any players other than ones on the Hornets' roster
CP3 is nice to use but having a guy like Granger(compared to Ariza) on the wing is heavenly
and although Thornton's OVR is only 2 points better than W Green..the difference between them on O is night and dayComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Alright, so after a few failed attempts with fantasy drafts, myplayer mode, and creating player for my teams, I have decided to start a new Association with the Rockets.
Completely blew them up (pun intended?), although, it may not be for the better so far.
My current starting five:
Dragic
Harden
Buddinger
David Lee
Jason Thompson (moved from PF)
Off the bench I have a mix of young guys, which includes Ekpe Udoh and Patrick Patterson.
I also managed to pick up two first round picks and about $20-25 million in expiring contracts.
As of now I'm looking for an upgrade at SF over Chase, and possibly a new PG (I like Dragic, I just think he needs a season or two to develop). Possibly thinking of throwing Lee and Udoh to someone for a legitimate scorer to run with Harden. What do you guys think?Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I'm the Bulls and wanted to start off an association with a strong shooting guard. Did I give up too much?
Bulls give: Noah, 11 first rounder, 12 first rounder
Clippers give: Eric Gordon
My lineup:
Rose / Watson
Gordon / Korver
Dang / Korver
Boozer / Gibson
Thomas / Asik
I'm thin at C but I play Boozer and Gibson at the same time a lot. I won my first game vs the Mavs by like 15 points. Gordon had 15 in his debut.
Thoughts? Did I give up too much??
You definitely gave up too much. Noah is a defensive beast, and currently the only player on the Bulls roster over 6'9 (except Omer Asik, who isn't anywhere near starting caliber). So you gave up your paint defense presence for a slasher/shooter...along with 2 1st rounders.
I play with the Bulls as well, Rose is my boy. I swapped around to get James Harden, who is a developing shooter like Gordon, except he's better on defense and matches up pretty well against the bigger wing players. I was able to get him for Deng/'12 1st rnder/Bogans. Kept the core of Rose/Boozer/Noah intact. I ended up playing Harden at the 3 all year, since Brewer is good enough on defense to stay in my starting lineup. Then I moved up and drafted Terrence Jones in the offseason, moved Harden back to the 2 and I've been rollin ever since.
My lineup,
Rose/Teague
Harden/Brewer
T Jones/Korver
Boozer/Gibson
Noah/DeAndre JordanA gentleman is a man who knows how to play the accordion, but doesn't.Comment

Well in my Bulls association before I started I traded Noah and 2 first rounders to the Clippers for Eric Gordon and their 11 first. I was getting killed on the glass and lost a couple games. So I re did the trade and made a couple smaller deals and here they are:
Pistons Get: Keith Bogans, 12 1st
Bulls Get: Tracy McGrady
Rockets get: Brian Scalabrine, Kyle Korver, 11 1st
Bulls get: Courtney Lee, Demarre Carrol, Brad Miller, 12 2nd round pick
Here's my rotation:
Rose / Watson
McGrady / Lee
Dang / Brewer
Boozer / Gibson
Noah / Miller / Asik
In my first game with this squad I put a beatdown on the Cavs winning 57-43 (7 min quarters). TMac was a beast. Poor Gibson couldn't stop him on the wing or in the post. He scored 19 points on 5-8 shooting and shot 8-9 from the foul line. Lee came off the bench and gave me 6 points. Even though it's one game, I like my depth a lot better than when I gave up Noah. I didn't give up much, just some picks, but I got better and much deeper off the bench which I wanted.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I had gotten swept by the Blazers and I felt the need to make some moves
but I feel I went a lil too far and made my team much much worse at the moment
First trade was
Wizards
Ty Lawson
Player I can't think of at the moment
2012- 1st Rounder
Nuggets
JaVale Mcgree
Jordan Crawford
2012-1st Rounder
Then after I realized I didn't want to lose Lawson, that I had wanted to trade Felton
I made another trade to get a fast run and gun point guard
Celtics:
Raymond Felton
Hissan Whiteside
2011 2nd Rounder
Nuggets:
Avery Bradley
James Posey(who I cut)
2011 1st Rounder
So my picks looked like this so far
1st rounder (Wizards, Nets, Nuggets,Celtics)
During the draft I made more trades to move down
Joey Dorsey
2011 1st Round-9th
2012 2nd Rounder
Nuggets get
2011-1st rounder- 2nd
then after that
Grizzlies Get
2011-9th
2011- 24th
Nuggets get
2011-14th
2012 First Rounder
After the draft
I had selected (Sullinger 74 Overall, Derrick Williams 71 Overall-69 Moved to SF, Tyshawn Taylor (PG) 65 overall, Jeremy Tyler(C) 61 overall)
So my roster currently looks like this
Avery Bradley/Tyshawn Taylor
Aaron Affalo,Jordan Crawford, Wes Carter
Danilo Gallinari, Derrick Williams
Jared Sullinger,Joey Dorsey
JaVale Mcgee/Jeremy Tyler, Jeremy Bell (60ovr.)
Grizzlies, Celtics, Wizards
Raptors 2nd rounder
How bad do you think it was?
Horrible? Decent?Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
So i am the Raptors and I need a big man because I am sick of Reggie Evans. But my problem is I really like my guards and forwards such as Calderon, DeRozan, Bargnani, Weems and Johnson. So I can really only trade some bench players, Evans and picks to get a decent center. Does anyone have any ideas?Current careers:

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Well I just used the trade finder and I was offered a first round pick from the Mavs and Brendan Heywood for Reggie Evans. This would work great for me but is this really a fair trade?Current careers:

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Thats fair dude, Haywoods on a hefty contract & Evans is expiring, if anything your overpaying. Like the trade though, Raptors are in desperate need of a big defensive center.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Bulls Gets:
O.J Mayo
Memphis Gets:
Ronnie Brewer
Keith Bogans
I needed a SG who can score, defend, and has a small contract.
Memphis always wanted to traded Mayo because they couldn't afford him since they gave Rudy Gay a huge contract. So I gave them two good defensive players with small contractsComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
got the kings. Demarcus Cousins was unhappy and at least -6 no matter how many minutes i gave him. so i signed larry hughes and did this,
Lakers get:
Hughes
Cousins
Kings get:
Shannon Brown
Andrew Bynum
eh? i let brown and Tyreke Evans switch off at point and shooting. Bynum is a beast and he's been healthy.NFL: Minnesota Vikings
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers

You're basically getting Brown and Bynum for Cousins?... No way. You would need to give up way more talent/picks to get Brown and/or Bynum from the Lakers.Comment
