Re: The Jordan Challenge "I beat it" "This is how I did it" Thread
Am i the only one who uses the "Save and play later"???? I'll usually save at halftime or whenever I complete a couple of challenges and need a rebounding chall left or maybe just win the game and I"ll save the game... just in case.
It saves a lot of time in the long run and right now i'm just trying to unlock the shoes. Later on I'll def come back and replay some of these. This mode is actually better than what i thought! The commentary with the references acting like it's present day is just awesome. Oops i trailed off into review mode. Back to thread.
I use the SAVE feature and it makes it less evil.
I've beaten the Double Nickel on first try and the last one against Utah on first time as well Getting points against Detroit was tough. Especially at the end with the double teams.
This mode reminds me that Jordan was the MAN and his team wasn't even close to as good as say the Lakers w/ Gasol, Odem, Artest. I thought at first this mode would feel cheesy but now when i play i feel like the ball HAS to go through Jordan almost every single play!say what?Comment

I wouldn't be able to face myself in the mirror after doing this...lol, but I want to have those unlock-able shoes, so once I'm frustrated enough I'll resort this this method....don't judge me 2K gods...Comment

I'm going through on default settings right now. Just want to unlock the shoes plus Jordan. Once it's done I'll go back and try on a harder difficulty.
This is great though because I never play association mode until the first patch and roster updates so this gives me something fun to play in the meantimeComment

Re: The Jordan Challenge "I beat it" "This is how I did it" Thread
Just finished beating all of it...the hardest was the rebounding challenges so I put Jordan in the PF pos for one game and the other at Center...the Clyde one had me nervous for a minute cause he desides to go off in the 4th quarter..and one of the games I luckily got to overtime with a last minute steal and then got the rest of the points neededComment

I've been playing on default settings but I switched it to Rookie for the Double Nickel game and beat the Knicks by 75 points.
I had 56 points, 16 assists and 6 boards with MJ. Haha. (Just gave up on scoring w/ him after the first half to pad his assist stats)
I fully plan on going back and playing through everything on higher difficulties once I unlock MJ:Create A Legend, but I'm taking the easy way out now until I get it. I don't really see any problem with doing it haha.Comment

Gotten through the first three so far. Been pretty easy, but I hate having to go super-video-game-beast-mode with MJ.
This would be so much less ridiculous on 12 min. quarters.
If I wanted the challenges to be hard, I'd put it on HOF.Last edited by fffffffff9; 10-08-2010, 06:12 AM.Comment

Re: The Jordan Challenge "I beat it" "This is how I did it" Thread
I have beaten 9/10 of the Jordan Challenges.
The Shrug Game gave me the hardest time, I was either bricking threes with Jordan, or Drexler would get off to a good start in the 1st qtr. I resorted to maxing out Jordan's 3 pt. shot, but I don't know if it made much difference. I managed to get the super-rare 4 Point Play Achievement on one of the restarts, so that's good.
The two Utah games gave me a little trouble, mainly getting the 7 rebounds for the Flu Game, and notching the 4 steals on Michael's Last Dance. For the Flu Game, I moved MJ to PF or C and took out Rodman (He always be stealin' my rebounds, I had to do the same thing for the Father's Day Victory.). That worked, so on Michael's Last Dance, I could do everything BUT get the 4 steals to complete the challenge (Imagine if they said you had to grab 15 rebounds, like Mike did that game, damn!). To get the 4 steals, I decided to lower Stockton's and Hornacek's OHD and SEC ratings to the minimum. That worked very well, as I got what I needed (Many steals and the G Domination Achievement for beating a team by 50 or more points. I think I beat them by 56 or 58 points, I don't remember, lol.).
All I have left to do is the '91 Finals series vs. the Lakers. I won the first game, and I'm on track to completing all the challenges and getting the the Live The Dream Achievement, as I'm avg'ing 46 pts. on 68% shooting, and 16 asts. Edit: It didn't save my stats correctly, on the Jordan Challenge screen, it says that I'm avg'ing 23 pts. on 68% shooting, and 8 asts. That is unless it avgs in the other game even before you started it, which is what it looks like.Comment

i'm just go play on pro to get the challenges over with i'm not trying to do this on hall of fame it would be hard at crap don't really like having to use jordan as much as i do on pro i can only imagine wat it would be like on hof so my stragety is to get all teh points with jordan early as possible than i can worry about the other things witth the rebound challenges i try to get those 1st b/c these can kill you when you got everything else so get those 1st then bog hog with mj until they start double teaming you than make a few shots with somebody else then they want double team mj no more and ball hog againComment

Moving Jordan to the 4 or 5 is also not really what the game is about. Jordan did those things while playing the SG position which is what makes it impressive. What we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

Re: The Jordan Challenge "I beat it" "This is how I did it" Thread
Man the arrival was a another crazy game for me. Started out hitting my first 8 shots with jordan 16 points to end the 1st quarter, then I hit a cold streak and couldnt do anything, ended 2half with 28 points, got all my assists outta the way by then. 3rd quarter I dropped 15, so I was at 43 going into the 4th, I couldnt hit a free throw with jordan to save my life, I was 1-6 ,4th quarter I just tell myself drive to the basket, end up with 62 with 20 seconds left, my ball shoot a jumper and miss celtics get it I foul them send em to the line. Bird hits both my ball 6 seconds left, drive down with jordan and hit a 8 foot jumper with 2 seconds left to have 64 points, had a 56% field percentage as well. Man these get tough and nail biting.PSN - SwangKang169
