It would be a Shame if they change the fast breaks.... it's at a perfect balance and making
them easier would make the game unrealistic and much easier. Teams don't fast break all game I don't know what everyones problem is... this is one of the most realistic basketball games ever and so balanced in every way.

Are you playing sim all star? Fast breaks are easy on sim pro, they happen all the time.

On Sim All Star the computer reacts too quickly, they get 2-3 guys in the lane on every fast break and it's a complete boner killer... hence the reason nobody has been able to post pictures of realistic fast break totals.

I mean, all you have to do to realize there are problems on the fast break is get a steal 1 on 1 and realize how quickly the CPU responds to getting the ball stolen and how you NEVER pull away from them regardless of who has the ball. I highly suggest using chris paul or monta ellis and try to do this. On Sim All Star they simply do not work how they should.

My guys don't fill the lanes like those videos...I will have a 2 on 1 Curry and Ellis and as I have Curry drive to the hoop Ellis always stops at the top of the key or wing as if he is setting up for a play...

I've posted extensively about this in the past...but in general the 2k community here is defensive of the way fastbreaks are currently implemented.

How about someone post a "3 on 1" fastbreak vid?

To be honest with you, it seems like you're playing an entirely different game than me. I play on all-star/sim as well and the CPU defense simply does not react the way they did in your vids. They seemed a bit confused and their were lanes available to make passes on the break there. Plus, your teammates were running with you. I'm going to upload some of my fastbreaks and show you exactly how pyshic and quickly the cpu reacts on D. If the CPU reacted like that on my break opportunites I could make plays too. I'm really surprised by that video. Are you sure that was YOU on offense and not the CPU? Because that transition D looked like the type of tranisition D that my AI teammates play, not the CPU opponent.

I saw dudes vid's and I get breaks just like he does...and I play on all star....

Also, on high difficulties, I have seen some "strange" AI behavior like guys taking themselves out of position to makes plays for no reason and user controlled players seeming to not always be under the user's control. Its nowhere near as bad as years past. But it does pop up from time to time.

Yeah, I think that they purposely program things in the game to mess the user up at times. This is their way, in part, of compensating for human skills.

I have a few games where I managed 24 break points, and 19, both with the Warriors. These games are few and far between and usually mean I am hitting some serious 3s in transition before the D gets back. If those 3s aren't dropping the break is still useless. Last game I scored 2 fast break points with GS and still scored 90 points, so if the fast break logic actually was realistic and I came up with the usual 20 they score in real life, the scoring would have been more realistic (110 points as GS averages 108 ppg in real life). I'm still hoping they take a look at this and open up the game a bit more. It would still be sim, even more so than it is now I Think.

If you're having problems with guys not finishing the breaks correctly, changing their tendencies may help.. I fear if 2k tinkers with the fastbreaks, you will open the flood gates for cheesers again.

Puttin the difficulty up to allstar, I can definitely say its a problem, even the worst defensive teams get back on D too fast.
