THere is a trick to shooting because i've been playing strictly with the suns and pretty much know where it is with Turk and Jason rich and kinda with Nash there is a trick to shooting because on the 13 fade i can drain it if i hit that sweet spot every time with just a little bit of room between me and the defender but its so small that not even a perfect shot will always guarantee it in. What 2k has done is made the game what ELite wanted to be you can't just pick it up and play with any team you have to learn the team the otherday i was playing with the celtics and couldn't hit hardly anything with them becuse i didn't know there shots but with the suns i'm on point. THe downfall is the game is not a pickup and play

Whelp, I just ran into this problem in a player match. I was up something like 25 to 7 when all of a sudden I couldn't make any shots anymore. Wide open perfect releases just bricking for no reason at all. I lost because my opponent started cheese dunking over and over again while I brick wide open shots off of screens.

Yeah shooting in this game is pretty random. It's crazy because playing on simulation, you can be wide open with a perfect release and put up major bricks with superstar players, but the CPU is burying shots with 2 or 3 hands in their face.

Jordan bricks a lot on Jordan mode even when you are in the green. And I dont expect the ball to go in 100% of the time in the green, but it should be at least 50% esp if you are wide open. If you are wide open and its in the green it should go in almost every time, but if you are covered then yes it should be a different story.

Look at the NBA shooting percentages... good shooters only average around 40% or so

Timing and favorite position for the player to shoot are very important to score. For example, Kobe is very good in 2's, then should go for his favorite place to shoot for the score.
