IMO the overall difficulty of the NBA spanning back to 20/25 years ago was harder and in general players were better.
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

      Thats true too.

Not to say the NBA is wack now. Its not. Its very talented.

But for whatever reason it seems like even the role players were better. I think about guys like John Salley or Michael Cooper. BOTH these guys would be starters on most teams today.

A lot of teams want to go young and all that but theres something to be said about experience. You could see it last year with Boston. It seemed like back in the day teams werent as obsessed with getting younger. Im not sure if its because its relatively cheaper (due to inflation) now to go young or what but you could see it in Boston and even LA to some extent.

And also, when talented players spent three years in college refining their skills they were often more NBA ready and also people had a stronger identification with players entering the league.

I just love the fact that I can relive my childhood through some of these teams.

For me i think basketball was just more fun to watch back then. There were a lot of teams with legit superstars. Not 1 or 2 year wonders that are all-stars one year and gone the next. Oh and they played hard and that's part of what made watching the game more enjoyable. I'm not really a big fan of the classic teams unless someone builds a whole league of the teams in the 90's. But i am a fan of 90's basketball.

You hit the nail on the head Ron: Teams going young.

Example: Look at the old Hawks on this game. Thise are GROWN MEN. Willis, Moses, Doc, 'Nique all those guys. Just LOOK at 'em.

Now flip back to the current Hawks. J Smoove, Horford, Joe...there talented yes. But it just seems like all the kids that grew up around the block. Even with size, they still seem like kids.
