They are ridiculous! And a lot them are just ugly. Not everyone is Dirk Nowitzki.

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
needs to be repeated:
please fix player rotations. once set, they change when you start a season or association.
also simmed games , 11-12 guys play every game(controlling all 30 teams, minutes set under rotation for each team, bench depth matches the rotation set up under minutes).Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
^^^I've come to the conclusion that setting rotations in the main menu is pointless because it will just reset itself anyway once you start an Association. It doesn't matter what you do, the game will auto-reorder every roster on the game anyway to pick the highest rated players on each team to start and round out the bench.
And on to my patch suggestions:
- As many of you have touched on, offensive rebounding is definitely flawed and needs to be addressed. The main problem I have is that players don't even to make an attempt to go for an offensive rebound. You may see an occasional tip back attempt or two, but those are few and far in between. There's no aggression at all attacking the boards despite having crash boards maxed out.
- The late game blatant cheating by the AI (yes, I said cheating) needs to stop. I'm not sure how prevalent this is on the lower difficulty settings, but on Superstar it's pretty obvious. It makes it almost impossible to upset teams on here. I just lost by 8 points to the Magic because I couldn't hit easy shots that I was hitting all game. When I get a clear lane to the basket, the CPU magically warps into position to challenge the shot because the game "slows down" my player just enough to allow this to happen. Or if I do manage to get a dunk attempt, I get put into some contest shot animation. I know this was something that they actually patched in to combat some of the problems pre-patch when it came to online play, but it harms the game offline and is entirely unrealistic when it occurs.
- Passing needs a HUGE upgrade. This is problem the biggest flaw of the game. I'm all for trying to make good passers a premium, but to dumb down passing that much that players struggle to make even the most routine pass is ridiculous. The passing is so inconsistent too, that it feels as though bad passes are programmed at certain points just to turn the tide of the game. This makes the game feel scripted and inorganic.
- Offensive AI for the Human teammates needs serious work as well. It's like the players just refuse to cut to the basket. They can have a clear path to cut to the right, but they intentionally try to go left. And trying to use the manual cut control is too cumbersome in most situations when quick execution is of the essence. And if you try to manually take control of the intended recipient to perform the cut yourself, you can't even trust that the ball will get to you in a competent manner because of the flawed passing system.
- Fast break logic is VERY broken. Fix it. Period. I don't feel like I'm playing with NBA teammates. When I see big men make a B line to the 3 point line EVERY time, that tells me that this is a game flaw and not some tendencies at work.
- Man to man defense is seriously broken. Fix it.
- Player control is still lacking. At times it feels just like NBA 2K10 with the user being drawn into unwanted animations. This does nothing but benefit the CPU making the game more frustrating and less fun. That's not a challenge. That's cheating.
Right now I'm just so frustrated. This most likely has to do with the loss I just took in the opening game of my new Association. I'm not generally a sore losing, and I don't mind losing if I felt I was outplayed, but the way that loss went down felt like thievery.Last edited by Mos1ted; 12-22-2010, 10:02 PM.According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
LOL, thanks.
It should be noted that my gripes have mostly to do with the game on the higher difficulty settings. I guess I'll just have to humble myself and play on All-Star. It's impossible to get a fair game against the CPU otherwise.According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
The Rotations in 12-minute quarters are kinda jacked up. Players come out of the game for the first time way too early if they're set on low minutes. Someone like Shaq, who comes out with about 4 or 5 minutes left in the first IRL (and plays 22 MPG), will come out with like 9 minutes left if you set him to 22 minutes in Rotations.
Can this be patched?Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
Agree that sliders in My Player would go a long wayand so far its mostly what I have played, few things that really bug me that I hope can and will be patched is at times it seems like every player is My man, have a My Player as Center...the pg scores and I get the allow man to score when im under the basket. Happens with my sg also where the center scores and I get the same thing..all the time my arrow seems to be pointing torward my actual man. Also and I noticed this playing as a center more there are times when a shot goes up and I have a clear lane to get the rebound but an invisible force stops me from going for the rebound and im moved behind someone who is now boxing me out. Also having to do with rebounding when I am actually getting boxed out and I fight to get around someone after I have done that for a second or 2 I cant move to get the rebound so fighting around that player who was boxing me out was a waste because I still cant get the rebound unless nobody else goes for it for a few seconds. annoying things..but have to say I love this game. Maybe sometime soon I can get to playing an association...hopefully these things can and will be fixed.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
I don't know if this is even considered a glitch or whatever. But on occasions, my team mates stand too far away from the 3 point line. What happens is when I pass him the ball while he's completely open, i have to move him a few steps to get closer and that gives the defense a chance to recover and contest the shot. I think that really kills the momentum.
Also, still no box out post patch. I think I've seen one on occasion. Hope to see these two issues fixed in the next patch.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
Fix the rotations in association. If a guy does not have any minutes alloted to him he should not play unless of foul trouble or a blow out. This seems to just be a issue in simmed association games because when I play a game in association the rotations work as they should. This is a huge issue because scrubs are playing in way to many games.Comment
