Haven't really tested this myself but for the foul issues have you guys tried raising the foul tendency slider too. I feel like that has to help. The foul sliders are probably just how often fouls are called when they occur so if they're at 100 you just never get away with them. Again, not 100 percent sure about this but I think it could help. -

Yes. It has virtually no difference except for the fact that you get called for more shooting fouls.
You get maybe 1-2 over the back calls per game for both teams
2 reach in fouls from the CPU (maybe) - as many reach in fouls as you want to accumulate as the human
1-2 blocking fouls per game from the CPU, 1 max for the human
0-1 charging fouls per game for both.
These numbers are pretty consistent with the only exception being that some games you'll get ZERO of any of the above, never more.
Foul sliders are whack.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
*Increase the Jordan Challenge quarter length
*Increase fouls universally
*Improve boxing out/rebounding mechanics
*Improve user fast breaks (reduce CPU recovery speed)
*Improve short length for some retro teams (real picky, I know)Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
the 1990 hawks team color 1 color for shoes and accessories is a greenish blue, should be red. similar thing for the twolves, green is still team color 2 when they changed to grey this year. 2k had this problem before with the thunder having green shoes like they were still the sonics and the hawks still having yellow after they changed to blue.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
Any improvements to the pass logic would be great.
I know there is always Icon passing.
But if the R stick passing was more spot on I would be in heaven.
So often my drive and kicks go to the guy setting the screen rather than the guy who is open for the three.
Or my drive and dish rarely hits the open big man I want it to hit.
I know there is icon passing but in the heat of the drive you just want to hit the guy in the right position I don't care if it is Shaq or Jermaine.
Stick passing with solid logic is a beautiful thing. I have seen it.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
-rebounding animations for big men and lack of boxing out goes without saying.
-more physical on ball defense for the user without having to tweak sliders. give me more control over physically D'ing up the ball handler.
-home court advantage is too high.
-various association bugs such as trades, lopsided scores, too many middle of the road records.
-TBD as i really haven't played much yet.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
Great suggestions in this thread but, if I were to make a short list for the devs I would use the quoted post by Number.
Also, I can't engage offensive players in the post or on the perimeter on command. It's always hit or miss when I try to grab on to players and deny them the ball when playing D.
I think it's LT, and it's the same button used for boxing out I believe. But LT, doesn't work consistently for either.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
Agreed, I was so amped for these Jordan challenges but 8 min quarters just ruins it for me.
I have to run around and dunk on everyone just to get even close.
What they should have done was have a default setting, say All Star or above and 12 minute quarters.
Completely disappointed in this aspect of the game, which I was looking forward to the most.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
FOR CUSTOM ARENA MUSIC:
On the PS3 the feature is basically broken, seems like it wasn't tested before the game came out.
It's known that it doesn't shuffle and @Ronnie2K acknowledged it and said it's already been fixed in the patch.
- They need to seperate the "Tip Off" category and add an "Intro" section.
"Intro" should start as soon as the arena/attendance comes on screen, and "Tip Off" should first be extended (right now it only plays 4 seconds) and lead up to the winning tip off.
"Intro" - should be a 18-20 second gap to add music.
"Tipoff" - should be a 28-30 second gap to add music.
*HERE OS Forum member RubenDouglas made a youtube video of how it should be, which doesn't happen for PS3 or 360.
- Bring back the "Highlights" option.
So we can add music (TV Broadcast Theme) that ends all quarters.
- Again Shuffle needs to be added so the standard sounds and custom sounds are mixed up.
As of right now "Home Up", "Away Up", "Chant Defense", "Chant Team" and "Long" either plays one song all the time or nothing period.
- Fix "Home Up", "Away Up", "Chant Defense", "Chant Team" and "Long"
On the PS3 they either play just one song all the time or they don't play at all. It's so bad that sometimes you'll hear "Away Up/Chant Defense" when the Home team is bringing the ball up.
I hope the guys at 2K have been checking the over 75 page thread that's sticked on Custom Arena Music (here) because a good amount of that thread are complaints and suggestions that seem to be ignored.PSN: DYNAMICS416Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Patch Suggestions
1. CPU running the same plays over and over again.
2. 3 point shooting percentages are far too low. This goes for both human user (me) and especially the CPU. Usually on Simulation Game Style both teams shoot around 10% which is far too low. NBA average is 30-40% and of course there will be outliers depending on game to game.
3. Still too easy to block jumpshots. Especially when using turbo at the same time as this creates unrealistic vertical boost for defenders. See here for more details: Still Too Easy to Block Jumpshots in 2K11?
4. Also related to #3 is unrealistic vertical boost when rebounding. Players jump way too high and get too many offensive rebounds from behind. Especially tall guys like Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Reminds me of Space Jam.
5. Post-up shots made outside the paint almost always is a bank shot. I don't know if this was done on purpose. In real life NBA players most of the time don't try to bank the shot. Unless they are very skilled at it like Tim Duncan.
6. Full-court bomb passes are too accurate for the CPU. For me the players have to gather to catch the ball which is realistic but CPU players throw accurately and with great speed which is unrealistic.
7. Sometimes when you contest too closely the offensive player falls down. Problem is a foul is never called when somtimes it should.
8. The play-call names always disappear for the rest of the game usually in the 1st Quarter.
9. The post up button can be unresponsive at times.
10. The CPU shows no sense of urgency trying to inbound the ball (excluding after a made basket). They take too long and often force a terrible long distance pass that results in a turnover.
11. This glitch was in 2K10 but when the CPU is inbounding at the halfcourt sideline area, defender can go right next to the inbounder. Then constantly press the steal button and he will deflect the pass and sometimes hits the inbounder for a turnover. In the NBA you must give the inbounder a certain amount of space (which is not enforced in 2K11). Once you cross that area, the referee calls a delay of game. In real NBA this occurs during end of game situations so the defense can see what the offense is trying to run.
12. When a person get's fouled and goes to the free throw line Clark Kellog says the wrong stats. For example say Boozer is fouled and has 13 points and 7 rebounds. Kellog instead would say something like "Boozer has 13 points and 1 assist" which in most situations announcers would say whichever stat a player has more of.Comment
