Mostly opinion although I do think it's fact. I talk about it more in this blog

For reference, you should skim through my first 2 blogs first (my complaints about simulation mode originally).
According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.

Can someone please send a message to mike jones or wang by twitter or something. I would do it myself but I cant find their account. I would really like to know if they changed something.

The first four days were so fun and realistic but now something has changed and I'm not really seeing the same type of gameplay anymore and thats so dissapointing if that is the case.

It would really help if someone like Beluba or someone else thats from 2k give us any input on this situation.

Hm, may it just be that
default rosters + Pro = new rosters + Superstar
        or something like that ?

I mean in older 2ks the AI definitely did a better job on playing the passing lanes for example on higher difficulties.

I downloaded the new rosters that are out today and the game plays just like it did when I got it.

I think people are getting better and think the game is now flawed.

Just move up in difficulty and or change some sliders.

This is Placebo affect to the fullest. I have visited other sites and not many are reporting this issue. Those that have are doing so because it has been brought to their attention here or other sites that the game got easier.

The game did not get easier. It just that you guys have started to be smart with the play calling and passing. If you now find something easy then tweak that slider ever so slowly to get that perfect balance you desire.

I know you shouldn't make stupid passes, but even trying to take your time, you're going to slip up - especially in a basketball game where it's hard to pass to the player you intend, unless you use "precision passing" which is cumbersome IMO. And in real life, not ALL bad passes are picked off and taken back the other way. Even if the CPU just knocked a bad pass out of bounds, that would be more realistic. Having said all that, messin' with gameplay via a patch should be forbidden!
maybe this'll help if u haven't already seen it..

It was fixed w/ the latest update. Try playing a game w/ the first roster update (10/6) and tell me what you see.

Well we all got better that is for sure but when playing the heat pre roster update is so much different to the heat with the roster update. They are dunking on me after the roster update in an unrealistic manner. I have 3 people in the paint but lebron ignored it as if they were not there. I am not talking about online this is offline and pre roster update is just different.

Re: Did something change in this game?

Something has legitimately changed. I tested by playing the default roster and then by playing the most recent roster and immediately noticed some big differences.

Playing on superstar/sim, I am finding it extremely easy to get by defenders. There are less on the ball defense contact animations, and the defender generally is slower to react. Games lack intensity now, as I feel like I can pretty much score when I want. Driving the lane is extremely simple and mid air collisions are also reduced. Passing lanes are also much more lax. The passing lane defense forced you to slow down the pace and even call plays.

I also noticed Jordan Challenge was EXTREMELY easy. I played the Pistons and dropped an effortless 58 on Superstar/Sim, whereas previously I really had to work for buckets. We need to bring this to Ronnie and Beluba's attention.

I noticed this too especially the mid air collisions being less. But to be on the safe side check your slider settings because sometimes it resets to default even if the game style in the settings is at simulation.

^^^Yeah, I noticed that. I check each time before I play now. Unfortunately, the set was indeed on Simulation. After playing a full game with the current roster and then with the default rosters the differences stood out.

I'm not sure what they changed or if they really changed anything but I really cannot deny the difference man. I hope someone from 2k could clarify all this since initially I made this thread to confirm that its just me but it turned out that some of us noticed it too.
