Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
its a miss-communication. hokupguy, you said there was hidden legends on the pc disc and he thought you meant more classic teams, not the 90s and 80s legends squads.
btw, do you have a link to where you got this info? i searched the net looking for some kind of confirmation and the only thing i found was this thread where you mention it and the fact that those legends teams are on the psp. not saying you are lying, just want as much info about it as i can get, thanks. i dont want to start creating historic rosters until i know for sure if these legends are a possibility or completely out of the question.Comment

Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
here you go there's a pic a of wilt the stilt in it. we there on the pc disc , which is a port of console game. I stated i was hoping they "2k" could unlock it in a update as the pc modders did. So we can make retro rosters using those players.its a miss-communication. hokupguy, you said there was hidden legends on the pc disc and he thought you meant more classic teams, not the 90s and 80s legends squads.

Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
thanks. i wonder if 2k was just too lazy to remove them or if they actually have some sort of plan for them such as codes or being jerkfaces and try charging us for them later. im leaning towards lazy because i can only assume that the reason the mj challenge teams were so skimpy is because they dont want to have to pay royalties to all those players and they knew no matter how full those teams were they would sell the same amount of copies.here you go there's a pic a of wilt the stilt in it. we there on the pc disc , which is a port of console game. im praying theres a way to unlock these players and we find out soon because what my plans are going to be as far as historic rosters depends on this info.Comment

Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
lets hope they can be unlocked and dumped into the free agent pool or something... I would rather play with 95 rockerts with a hakeem olajuwon then a CAP...thanks. i wonder if 2k was just too lazy to remove them or if they actually have some sort of plan for them such as codes or being jerkfaces and try charging us for them later. im leaning towards lazy because i can only assume that the reason the mj challenge teams were so skimpy is because they dont want to have to pay royalties to all those players and they knew no matter how full those teams were they would sell the same amount of copies.

yep....it's weird that there are no legends teams at all in this game. what gives? no international team either....ugh. maybe we'll find out after the first patch or two.thanks. i wonder if 2k was just too lazy to remove them or if they actually have some sort of plan for them such as codes or being jerkfaces and try charging us for them later. im leaning towards lazy because i can only assume that the reason the mj challenge teams were so skimpy is because they dont want to have to pay royalties to all those players and they knew no matter how full those teams were they would sell the same amount of copies.

Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
well the reason i would think would be not enough room on the disc. there 18 classic teams and then the jordan Team thats 19 total. I also think if the xbox had blu ray and the game was on a blu ray disc they could have all the decade team s from before.
It just a thought."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
Cosigned. I'll play mine through, but my issue is its so EASY to get negative points in the mode (especially when guarding someone like Kobe), that it takes a while to build up. Nevermind the crap dunk ratings...
If they had a downloadable bonus pack of points (like MLB the Show does), then I'd probably bankrupt myself :PComment

Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
well the lamest thing is that they put those pointless 2k, vc and 2kchina teams every year and does anybody ever play with that crap? you are waisting disc space on some garbage that only the game makers them self would find even the least bit interesting. couldnt they just make a separate special edition for their own use and leave that disc space for something worthwhile? same goes for the celebrities, pointless.well the reason i would think would be not enough room on the disc. there 18 classic teams and then the jordan Team thats 19 total. Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
very true, i just saw on 2k share that you can download and upload teams now. Lets keep bugging them to unlock the classic players off the disc. I all ready twitted ronnie over 2k about this. I dont care about the decade teams i just want those players for my dream team rosters and your classic rosters.well the lamest thing is that they put those pointless 2k, vc and 2kchina teams every year and does anybody ever play with that crap? you are waisting disc space on some garbage that only the game makers them self would find even the least bit interesting. couldnt they just make a separate special edition for their own use and leave that disc space for something worthwhile? same goes for the celebrities, pointless.
Maybe we can get flyingfinn to make a tool like he did for some years now with nfl2k5 and recently with backbracker. It would be awesome to get like he did for nfl 2k5.Last edited by hokupguy; 10-14-2010, 12:49 AM."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
^ i cant say that this is getting my hopes up any. the fact that duckworth and ostertag are on the disc and also i can only assume that the face files and body files are separate (hence the carlos arroyo effect) lends me to believe that 2k is just lazy and this is leftovers and that there are no plans for a code or anything like that. it looks like if i want to continue to create historic rosters(to my standards) im going to have to look into investing in a gaming pc, how gay.Last edited by portlandblazer; 10-14-2010, 07:37 AM.Comment

Re: Creating A Legend Cheat Code
No biggie, but I think he was going off a comment JohnDoe made on page 2.
In regards to Ostertag and Duckworth, my personal suspicion is that those two were added preemptively, assuming their rights would be required (only they were not). Or perhaps their rights fell through after the fact.
The others all seem to be All-Decade guys of years past. I totally agree with PortlandBlazer regarding the 2K teams and whatnot though. I was always a big "well maybe the disc space is running out" guy but I totally never thought of the fact that 2K still has those played out developer teams. I respect that they probably want to reap the reward of throwing together a great game by offering themselves as playable characters though. I know I'd be all over that too.Last edited by VDusen04; 10-14-2010, 08:52 AM.Comment
