I beleive so, with the little guy that shows u if u shot early or late, Green or red

My problem is the Shot Indicator can be very misleading...Sometimes I get All Green with perfect shot trajectory and the shot is off...even if its a wide open shot, in range with feet firmly planted...MEANWHILE the next shot might be the SHOT INDICATOR all red with a terribe looking release point but low and behold the shot is all net???...

My shooting isn't terrible but at the same time I'm having difficulty figuring out exactly what the shot indicator means. I have FiOS internet and my connections are dang near perfect as I feel little, if any lag at all.

I'd like one of the Dev's or someone with intimate knowledge to break down the shot indicator and shooting. Whoever said you can't practice offline is right...The only thing you can do offline is try to figure out where the release point is and duplicate it online. Shooting in this game is kinda frustrating and fun at the same time.

I play with the Rockets, here's some advice for the OP:

With Aaron Brooks, his release is kind of slow. It seems like for perfect you almost have to wait until he's coming down a bit.

With Martin, honestly just don't shoot with him very often. His shot animation is HOOOOOOOOOORRIBLE (does not look like his shot) in this game and it's impossible to time. Sometimes i'll hit open shots with him but not regularly, 2k really needs to fix this.

Battier's shot was tricky at first but I got it down after a while. It's a pretty fast shot, he goes up quickly and you have to release pretty quickly.

I found that Courtney Lee had the easiest shot to make and he is decent from 3 point range.

Hope this helps. If all else fails, try playing with the hornets. All of their shooters have really easy releases and they have TONS of 3 pt shooters. I'm getting about 10 3s a game with them shooting around 30%. Their plays have really good off ball movement by the shooters, they come open most of the time.

I'm not sure why you're confused about this. I'm sure you've played basketball in real life before. It's no different than you're real jump shot. You're supposed to release the ball at the top of your jump, right? But just because you didn't release it at that exact moment, doesn't mean the shots not going to go in. There are times when you release earlier, or later, and the shot will still go in. So why you're confused about why that's happening, I have no clue. Point is this: You're only increasing your odds of getting a more accurate shot when you release in the green. But just because your shot isn't in the green, doesn't mean it wont go in the basket.

Regarding online, it doesn't matter how much you practice offline. Your release point is jacked up online, due to this delay in jump shots.

I have the same problem, I can't sink jump shots in 2K11 and I can't even sink them in Crew. I wish they would let us practice with online lag to master it......
