It would never be a priority, which means, if ever implimented, it would be the worst feature in the game. I'm not opposed to the idea, and I would actually love this feature if done right, but it's not going to happen. I think if we do ever get the chance to play offseason ball, it'll be the FIBA world championship tournament but I wouldn't hold my breath for that.

Actually this topic was brought up at the nba-live.com website during the WNBA's early years. We all thought it would be a cool idea. That was the time to do it, because you had those great teams in Houston, LA and NY with Tina Thompson, Cheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie & 'Spoon. I brought up the idea of a create-a-co-ed team mode(for example, taking the best players from the Knicks & Liberty).

you know why the wnba is struggling? cause its not a real sport. You could take a HS all star team from California and they would beat the defending wnba champions. The difference between men and womens basketball is night and day. Really only Nncy Lieberman and Cheryl Miller have ever played physical like dudes. 2 out the history of the womens game have ever played physical enough. and thats the difference, not the dunking. The speed, the physicalness and just straight athleticism of the games are not even close.

I mean this is how bad womens basketball is, Nancy Lieberman played an official WNBA and racked up double digits in points as a 50 year old... name one men's player that could ever do that... Not even MJ could

I'm not going to get into the debate of a WNBA team vs. a HS All-Star team. That's pointless and pretty presumptious.

I will tell you, however, that you're incorrect about why the WNBA is not popular. It's unpopular because it attempts to mimic the NBA style too much. Players try to be too flashy and make too many "highlight" plays in attempt to gain more popularity. Truth is, the beauty of women's basketball lies in the fundamental and team aspects of the game as opposed to men's basketball's stars and athleticism.

This is why college women's basketball will always be more popular than the WNBA. Women's basketball is not as exciting as men's, no doubt, but for a basketball purist, it's (typically) just as intriguing. It's much more of a chess match because the playing field is more even than men's ball (less UConn and the old Tenn teams).

If the WNBA had tried to produce good basketball instead of women's superstars in its early days, I think it would be more popular today. Now, I think it's too late.

I have a serious crush on Tamika Catchings! I met her once when she was playing at Tennessee. She is a great woman, good values and looks even better in person. Plus, she is soooo fine! I always tell my friend, who I was hanging with because his cousin was on her team, I always tell him that it's his fault I'm not with her because he didn't introduce us - LOL!

She is truly awesome. I do think it's time for a WNBA game. I think a developer would be surprised at how many women would purchase the game.

I can't remember the year but one of the NCAA March Madness editions had an option to play the women's top 16 in a tournament mode. It fell flat on it's face.

The WNBA can't sell out the lower bowl of an arena for it's finals, it won't sell as an option for a video game. I coached girls basketball for 8 years and it is always an afterthought for most fans. We had fewer fans for our girls varsity games than the boys JV would get.

Women don't support WNBA, i'll assume women are a small percentage of sports gaming. I don't watch women's basketball, I don't time being wasted on my NBA game w/ WNBA additions. When the market is ready for WNBA, they can make it, i really don't care, and i dont think others will either.

I don't see why this will hurt sales if anything it will boost up sales. We all know the WNBA will never sell as a standalone game. I say what the heck just add them in future 2K's.
The added work would have to pay for itself in added sales and I don't think the sales would increase enough to make it worth the effort. No offense to the ladies and the WNBA, but I think it'd be more fun to play than it is to watch.

Candace Parker - OMG she is so beautiful and tall. I would ask God to make me 10 inches taller to date her - LOL! Add to my list of WNBA babes - Sue Bird, Turasi (sp?), Kristi Toliver and Lisa Leslie. A man can dream and pray.

Back on topic, I think that women do like playing games, the games just have to cater to their interests. I think WNBA basketball can be successful. Heck, I might make a female basketball game on the iPad - once I get the graphics programming down.

This is the basic reason, it's really a matter of return on investment. The money they would need to invest for the additional logos, plays, face modeling, animation wouldn't bring in enough additional sales to justify spending it, the parent company (Take-Two) would shut that down quick. On the flip side, the investment(I'm sure it was alot) to get Jordan and then the classic teams was worth it to them because it would bring in a bunch of additional sales besides the core buyers.

THIS!! If i wanted to watch lay-ups and jumpers I can go to any co-ed YMCA game.

There is no demand for this....the WNBA is just plain awful....and I have had schoolmates play in it and I could care less. In general I do not find woman's sports as entertaining as mens....am I sexist? I don't think so just telling the truth.

The only time I am entertained is usually the summer and winter olympics...but I tend to watch the individual ****** sports over the teams...track, swimming etc I can be entertained. The team sports just don't do it for me at all.
