Player LOCKED! Please help.

So I've been having this HUGE issue with 2k lately. My player is locked on the SG in all game modes (except online). I fixed it once by deleting the settings, but then went to play an association mode game today (previously saved) and cannot change it back... I tried deleting the settings and all my old association data... didn't work. I did this twice! The game is useless if I can't play the teams. WTF?

Did you go and check what the Player Lock setting is set to? I would've done that before deleting hard-earned data.

If Player Lock is not turned on, try turning it on, saving, then turning it off again to see if it stops the problem.

Well I checked that setting and sure enough... it was on SG. But entered a game after saving the settings and it was locked on SG again. But I just went into the controller settings, again.. in-game, and fixed it. How ******** is that? 2k made an awesome game this year but they released it with a ton of crazy bugs/glitches. Still waiting on a patch. Any word on the release date? BTW thanks a ton for your help :-)

Did you happen to turn autosave off?

Make sure after you fix the Preferred Position that you save the User Profile, not the Settings.

I am anxiously waiting for the patch too, but this doesn't sound like a bug/glitch my friend.

So because you dont have the profile set up correctly it is a bug/glitch???

It is YOU, man. You! Don't blame 2K because you just can't adjust the settings.

2k shouldn't have auto change preferred position in controller settings after playing mj creating a legend mode...affecting all other modes of play. That isn't a glitch it's just poor programming. Don't get me wrong. I love this game but come on, there's no reason to have it change that for all other modes . . .

I don't know if it was intentionally done, but if you play one of the My Player modes and go back to play an exhibition, you will automatically be player locked to your My Player's position.
