I hope they give Hakeem his signature shakes and fakes, and create other shakes/fakes for the rest of the NBA (at least let him have his own post package). I don't want to see Hakeem shaking some guy, and then that guy makes the same move on Hakeem. That's just not right, to me.
        My Specs:

        ZX Spectrum
        CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
        GPU: Monochrome display
        RAM: 48 KB
        OS: Sinclair BASIC

Danka Kasmar. I'll go back into practice post moves and see if I can get it down.

I've been using Al Jefferson because of his 98/97 Low post offense (and playing against "practice squad", a created team of bad defenders). Would I be better off using someone else, or does anyone work for this. It's not some signature move thing, based on their iso gather, is it?

Not the dream shake move guys. Everyone knows how to do that. The is move is when you drop step and then fake and then go up on the other side of the rim.

            edit: I found it.

It happens at the 1:19 mark of the video. Dwight is backing down, then drop steps into the middle of the paint, left hand fake comes underneath the defender, and then finishes with the right handed layup... I've only done it twice (both times in practice mode).

            <IFRAME height=349 src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lJ3woaq00Po" frameBorder=0 width=560 allowfullscreen></IFRAME>

That is a move that should be able to be done with Dwight or Shaq.

It's more relative too where you are at the basket. I'm sure you can pull the move off with any big man, but you're post spin will be more successful with a better post player.

The fact that people are still trying to figure out all the post moves makes me smile.

This is what it is all about. And it's about to get even better.

I can never consistently get the flick flick moves to work in the post. It would elevate my post game another level in 2k which would be to the dismay of my friends.

                    edit: I found it.

It happens at the 1:19 mark of the video. Dwight is backing down, then drop steps into the middle of the paint, left hand fake comes underneath the defender, and then finishes with the right handed layup... I've only done it twice (both times in practice mode).

That is a move that should be able to be done with Dwight or Shaq.

It's a flick-flick move, but flick-flick moves can be so random.

Yeah that's just a flick flick move, where both flicks are toward the basket. The only way to trigger that animation is when the defender is out of position, i.e. when the defender presses triangle for the block or if they're pushing the sticks in the opposite direction or something. The reason why you never see the move in the practice gym or when playing against the CPU is because the CPU NEVER jumps for pump fakes.

Oh and if you are able to consistently do this animation, then it would just be unstoppable cheese. At least on the other hand the dream shake can be blocked both by CPU and user.

Ha, finally got the theory behind the move I saw.

                        1. Engage in the post, back to the basket
                        2. Spin towards the baseline, stopping right outside the paint
                        3. Pressing L1/LT bring the flick the right stick away from the baseline. From here you can
3a. Keep holding the stick, and do a spin shot
3b. Let go, and you stop about halfway through the move, and you can take a shot there

If you are inside the paint, your player will just put up the shot, and if you are too far away, you will just do a normal pump fake. It's about a distance from the basket, but use the distance on the baseline as a guide.

I may or may not have shot-stick on absolute, mess around and see what works. You can do step 3 without having to do a post spin, so it can be worked on in freestyle practice.

Can someone clarify on how to do the dream shake. The way I tried it was

                          1. Let the post player post first, to have a live dribble
                          2. Faceup and drive hard across the paint
                          3. Keep the left stick towards the direction of my momentum, flick right stick in the opposite direction
                          4. Stop and hold LT either left or right for a pump fake, then finish on either side(open court up and under basically)

Looking at footage of the dream shake, this seems the most logical. Any one have another combo?

Post players are so deadly when they still have a live dribble. I like the post spin because its so quick. Out of habit I pull an up and under right after the spin.

When on the baseline I like to do a half spin into a spin pivot layup. In the middle of your spin you can pull a flick flick move. I have the most success when holding the left stick away from the basket(along with LT and X) with the first flick.

Pulled this one in an online game:

                                The those 2 looked nice!!

I hated watch Lopez dribble the ball to attempt the running hook though.
