Re: Buying NBA 2K....10 or 11?
I'm pretty much going to disagree with everybody; if you don't have the money for 2k11; 2k10 is a good bet to buy; I've noticed more freezing issues with 2k11 since I've been playing. So if you don't have the loot; then you can't go wrong with 2k10. It's still a great game IMOGames I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.Comment

Re: Buying NBA 2K....10 or 11?
Most years, we get decent updates with some improvements in certain areas and some areas that took a step back. 2k8 to 2k9, 2k9 to 2k10 were like this IMO. Every once in awhile there's a night and day difference 2k6 to 2k7 made this jump 2k11 is the next jump.
I like to think of it in terms of cars, a new model rolls out and it stays largely the same for a few years and frankly you can get away with buying last years model, it looks almost the same. Then that new shinny model rolls out and suddenly the old model just looks dated.
That's how I feel about 2k11, Why do I think it's better?
-The player control is much sharper
-The Basketball AI is much better
-The playbooks used make a huge difference
-The personalities (play style) of most players really shines through
Just my 2 centsComment

No I said Microsoft points is 20$ not just the combined. And I don't hate MJ I just don't like any player who were known to be great(MJ, Kobe, Lebron, etc) before I started to watch basketball(2006) I like people who I watched develop(Rondo, Rose, Durant, etc.) It would seem dumb to say "oh yeah Jordan is great yada yada" if I never watched him play.
you should watch some old Bulls classics....in the case of MJ, its worth it.Comment

Re: Buying NBA 2K....10 or 11?
CuseGirl, unless you were just starved for a hoops game today, I would hold off on buying either game until the Black Friday/Cyber Monday ads are released. I'd be willing to bet good money that 2K11 will be on sale at several locations.
I do think 2K11 is improved in a lot of areas over 2K10, but if you are strapped for cash (I can sympathize), NBA 2K10 is certainly a solid alternative. I wouldn't worry about buying the Draft Combine, though, if you do go that route.Currently Playing:

I'm a pretty casual gamer and fail to grasp all the nooks and crannies like some experts out here.
Having said that I do own 2K9, 2K10 and 2K11. Trust me when I say 2K11 is world's better than any sports game I have ever played and I don't even notice all the little things.
Forget Jordan if that feature doesn't entice you, the game itself is amazing.
How about getting it used?
